[Detailed description of the invention] [Field of the invention] The invention relates to a metal foil anticorrosion tape that prevents corrosion of objects to be protected by utilizing cathodic protection and coating anticorrosion. A non-conductive adhesive layer is applied to one side of the tape or strip to leave an uncoated area, and the metal tape or strip is deformed to form a recess in the uncoated area, and the recess is used to create a non-conductive adhesive layer. The present invention relates to a metal foil anti-corrosion tape which is brought into electrical contact with an object to be protected and is capable of reliably exhibiting cathodic protection.

[Prior Art] Generally, as a method for preventing corrosion of metallic members, there is a cathodic protection method in which a metal that is electrochemically more base than the object to be protected, which is a metal member, is brought into electrical contact with the object to be protected to serve as a sacrificial anode. It has been known. These cathodic protection methods, particularly the method using a tape-shaped sacrificial anode, are relatively simple to implement and have excellent corrosion protection effects, so they are widely practiced as a means of corrosion protection.

A sacrificial anode using this cathodic protection method was published in 1973.
-Disclosed in Publication No. 16854. This sacrificial anode provides an electrically conductive adhesive layer between the sacrificial anode and the metal to be cathodically protected, bringing the sacrificial anode into electrical contact with the metal to be cathodically protected, but the conductive adhesive is expensive. Furthermore, there is a problem in that metal particles that are usually mixed in to impart conductivity oxidize over time, resulting in deterioration of conductivity.

In order to eliminate the disadvantages of using such conductive adhesives or adhesives, the present inventors have already developed a third method.
Invented anti-corrosion tape as shown in the figure.
No. 59-52777). The anticorrosion tape shown in Fig. 3 is a tape or strip 1 made of a metal that is electrochemically more base than the object to be protected, such as iron, and is coated on one side of the tape or strip 1 so that a non-conductive adhesive layer 2 is left uncoated. Further, the non-conductive adhesive layer 2 is protected on the side to be applied to the object to be protected by a release paper 5 which is peeled off during use. When this tape is applied to an object to be protected from corrosion, the portion to which the anticorrosive tape is applied is first protected against corrosion by coating. Furthermore, since the tape or strip 1 made of metal is attached so as to be in contact with the object to be protected in the unpainted area 3, the electrochemically base metal acts as a sacrificial anode for the object to be protected and corrodes preferentially. This cathodic protection effect can be expected.

[Problems with the prior art] However, when using the anti-corrosion tape as shown in Fig. 3, after applying it to the object to be corroded, by pressing lightly, the metal tape or strip 1 and the object to be corroded can be bonded in the unpainted area 3. An electrical connection is made between the bodies, but as shown in Figure 4, the non-conductive adhesive flows in the direction of the arrow pulling the electrical contact points 7 apart, making the contact at the electrical contact points 7 unstable. There is a drawback. In order to overcome this problem, a pressing method using a jig such as a rubber roll may be used, but this method has the disadvantage of lacking in simplicity.

[Purpose of the invention] The present invention was made to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks of the prior art.It is easy to handle, and even when a non-conductive adhesive is used, it can be used with electrochemically base metals and objects to be protected. An object of the present invention is to provide a metal foil anticorrosion tape that provides reliable electrical contact between the metal foil and the metal foil.

As a result of various studies in line with the above objectives, the inventors of the present invention deformed a metal tape or strip to form recesses in the non-conductive adhesive layer or the unpainted portion of the adhesive layer of the metal foil anticorrosive tape mentioned above. The present inventors have discovered that by providing a metal foil anticorrosion tape, it is possible to obtain a metal foil anticorrosive tape that can ensure reliable electrical connection without the need for pressing with a special jig or the like during application.

The metal foil used in this invention is a metal that is electrochemically base to the object to be protected. For example, if the object to be protected is iron, it is selected from zinc, aluminum, magnesium, or alloys of these metals. .
These metals are selected in consideration of cost, anticorrosion effect, etc., and zinc or zinc alloy is particularly preferably used. This metal is used after being processed into a tape or strip-like shape, and its thickness is not particularly limited, but considering the longevity of the anti-corrosion tape, it is preferably 0.01 mm or more, and Considering workability etc., 0.02~0.03mm
It is preferable to use a metal foil that has a certain degree of flexibility.

In the present invention, a non-conductive adhesive layer is applied to one side of a metal tape or strip so as to leave an uncoated area. The non-conductive adhesive used here is appropriately selected from common inexpensive non-conductive adhesives such as acrylic adhesives, and a mixture of these and chlorinated rubber may be used. Further, the thickness of the applied non-conductive adhesive layer is preferably 0.01 to 0.1 mm.

In the present invention, the metal tape or strip is deformed to form recesses in the uncoated portion of the non-conductive adhesive layer in order to ensure electrical continuity between the metal tape or strip and the object to be protected. will be provided.
The shape of such a recess is not particularly limited as long as the metal foil and the object to be corroded can be electrically connected reliably; for example, the recess may be formed by deforming to match the shape of the unpainted area You can. The depth of this recess is desirably greater than the thickness of the non-conductive adhesive layer from the standpoint of reliably maintaining electrical connection with the object to be protected. Note that such recesses are formed after applying a non-conductive adhesive by a general method such as using a groove roll or an embossing roll.

Furthermore, in the metal foil anticorrosion tape of the present invention,
Depending on handling requirements such as storage and transportation, it is desirable to attach release paper to the side of the non-conductive adhesive layer that will be attached to the object to be protected against corrosion, to protect the non-conductive adhesive layer until just before use. . As such release paper,
A paper tape made of paper laminated with polyethylene or the like and further subjected to silicone processing or a tape made of polypropylene or the like is used.

1 and 2, a non-conductive adhesive layer 2 is applied to a tape or strip 1 made of an electrochemically base metal so as to provide an uncoated area 3. In FIG. The unpainted portion 3 is formed in a stripe shape in the longitudinal direction of the tape. and,
The recessed portion 4 of the metal tape or strip 1 in the unpainted portion 3 is also provided in substantially the same shape as the unpainted portion 3. Further, by making the depth a of the recess 4 of the tape or strip 1 made of metal in the unpainted portion 3 equal to or greater than the thickness b of the non-conductive adhesive layer 2, the recess 4 in the unpainted portion 3 is It is made to surely contact the object 6 to be protected from corrosion when it is pasted thereon. If such a recess 4 is provided, the contact between the metal tape or strip 1 and the object 6 to be corroded will be stable even after a long period of time since a force in the direction of the arrow shown in FIG. 2 is applied, and the cathode This ensures that the anticorrosion effect is exhibited.
