Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a casting having high strength by communicating the casting space in a casting mold with the atm. via a communication path provided at the boundary between the casting space and an auxiliary space. CONSTITUTION:The casting device is provided with the auxiliary space 7 above the casting space 4 of the casting mold M, communicates the space 7 with the space 4 and is provided with a pressurized gas introducing hole 53 to the mold M by which the introduction of the pressurized gas to the space 4 is enabled. Further, the communication path 52 is provided to the boundary between the casting space 4 and auxiliary space 7 of the mold M and the space 7 is communicated with the atmosphere through this communicating path 7. A molten metal, therefore, rises along the wall surface of the casting space when the molten metal is poured into the space 4, but the discharge of the air in the space 7 is impossible when the molten metal arrives at the boundary between the space 4 and the space 7 and, therefore, the molten metal does not rise any more. The space 7 is thus assured as a pressurizing space. The run is maintained by using this casting device even if the mold temp. is not increased and, therefore, the casting having the precise casting structure is obtd.
