Description
【発明の詳細な説明】
〔産業上の利用分野〕
本発明は光ファイバを介して光−電気、電気−光変換を
行う光送受信モジュールに関する。

第３図は従来公知の光送受信モジュールの発光素子ある
いは受光素子が実装されたハウジング部の一例を示す断
ｌｌ１ｉ図で、１は光フアイバコネクタとの結合を行い
光素子を収納するハウジング、２は光フアイバコネクタ
との結合穴、３は円筒形のキャンパッケージされた発光
素子あるいは受光素子で、接着材４によってハウジング
１内に固定されている。発光および受光素子３と光ファ
イバとの光結合を安定にするために、発光および受光素
子３は通常光コネクタにより一定の圧力を受けるので、
接着材４は一般に多量に用いられる。このため組立に多
くの時間がかかると言う欠点があった。接着材を用いな
い方法としては１例えば特開昭５９−７５２１０号や特
開昭５８−６０７１５号公報に記載のごとくネジ構造を
用いたり、実開昭５９−’３１７６１号公報に記載のと
とくス１−ツブリングで止める方法が提案されている。

上記従来技術は、発光および受光素子が有するガラス窓
に加わる圧力ついて何ら考慮が払われておらす、ガラス
にひずみを与えるという問題が有った。

本発明の目的は、発受光素子のガラス窓にひずみを与え
ることがなく、組立が容易な構造の光送受信モジュール
を提供することにある。

本発明は上述した目的を達成するために、発光および受
光素子をパッケージ内に挿入しその背面を弾性材料を介
して固定用リングで固定したものである。

以下本発明の一実施例を第１図により説明する。
１１は光フアイバコネクタ結合孔１２を有するハウジン
グ１３は発光素子あるいは受光素子で、１４はそのガラ
ス窓、１５は電気信号端子、１６は合成ゴム等で形成し
たクッションリング、１７は押えリングである。クッシ
ョンリング１６は重連の如く合成あるいは天然の弾性材
料よりなり、押えリング１７は金属あるいは非金属材料
で構成され、ハウジング１１の光フアイバコネクタ結合
孔１２の段付部に発光あるいは受光素子１３が対接する
まで挿入して圧入固定される。クッションリングは、実
施例ではその断面円形であるが、角形でもその他の断面
形状、平面形状共でもよく、第２図に示すごとく押えリ
ング１７ｏ−に、板状の弾性材料１６ａ、を一体にして
ユニッ１−化させたものでもよい。

ング１７ｏ−に、板状の弾性材料１６ａ、を一体にして
ユニッ１−化させたものでもよい。
以上説明したように本発明によれば、発光素子あるいは
受光素子のパンケージを、その背面に、弾性材料のクッ
ションリングを介して押えリングを圧入して固定するよ
うにしたので、発光および受光素子のガラス窓に大きな
外力が加わることを防止できる。またゴムのごとき弾性
材料は比較的大きな寸法変化を吸収できるので、押えリ
ングの圧入位置の精密な制御は不要で、組立が非常に簡
単にできる。

Claims (1)
- 発光素子または受光素子と、ハウジングより成る光送受
信モジュールにおいて、該発光素子または受光素子をパ
ッケージ内に挿着し、その背面に弾性材料で形成された
クッションリングを介して固定リングで固定するように
したことを特徴とする光送受信モジュール。
