Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the visibility by having electric lamps flashed such that the flash cycle time becomes shorter as the engine speed becomes higher. CONSTITUTION:An electric lamp 11 is disposed at the front center 10a of the hull 10 of a compact racing motorboat and electric lamps 12, 13 on the right and left of the back part 10b. The electric lamps 11, 12, 13 are connected through a charge coil 29, a diode 39 and a dividing circuit 40. This charge coil 29 is connected to a primary coil 32, a secondary coil 33 and a plug 27. In this structure, the alternating current of the frequency proportioned to the engine speed is generated in the charge coil 29, fed to the electric lamps 11-13 through the diode 39 and the dividing circuit 40, and the electric lamps are flashed. As a result, the flash cycle time becomes shorter as the engine speed becomes higher so as to improve the visibility of the spectators.

(Prior Art) A small personal watercraft whose water injection unit is driven by an engine is used for speed competitions near the coast. When watching a speed competition, it is necessary to be able to clearly see the racing boats. It is also necessary for athletes to be able to clearly see other layers. However, although medium and large vessels are generally equipped with navigation lights for night navigation, small personal watercraft are often operated during the day and are rarely equipped with navigation lights.
