−11308号公報等においてすでに開示したところ

に着色部分の重複をできるだけ避けて貼り合わ
せ、さらにそれぞれの着色偏光膜の外表面に同様
の透明基板6及び7をそれぞれ貼り合せ保護した
ものである。第2図は第1図の着色偏光膜2と4
とをそれぞれの偏光軸が約90゜の異なる方位とな
るように着色部分の重複をできるだけ避けて直接
貼り合わせたのち、それらの外表面を第1図と同
様透明基板6及び7にそれぞれ貼り合せ保護した

の印刷あるいは転写方式で希望の位置及び形状に
形成することができるので、上記の実施例A,
B,C,Dのような縞目状の着色偏光帯に限ら
ず、文字、図形、模様等任意のパターンに多色刷

にポジテイブ表示と、ネガテイブ表示の両者を同
時に形成可能とする多色表示用偏光板は現在全く
知られておらず、自動車、電子計算機、時計等の
各種計測機器の表示板に利用し、例えば、注意表
示、警告表示等と計数又は計量表示をポジテイブ
表示とネガテイブ表示とで使い分けるなど、特殊
な表示効果をねらつた新しい用途に応用が期待さ
