Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure the extent of sufficient air cleaner capacity as well as to ensure a setup space for a radiator at the left and right sides by installing an air cleaner almost in the central part in a space in front of an engine and proximate to a carburetor. CONSTITUTION:A longitudinal air cleaner 21 of vertically two-piece structure is installed upward at the more front side than an engine unit being suspended in a cowling 9 and in a central part in the car width direction, a latter half part 22b of a connecting duct 22, housing a carburetor 20, is solidly formed in a lower end of the lower case 21. A symmetrical pair of radiators 24 are installed in the air cleaner 21 and both left and right sides of the connecting duct 22. Thus, since the air cleaner 21 is set up in a space A being relatively wide in front of an engine and proximate to the carburetor 20, the capacity is sufficiently securable and, what is more, the connecting duct with the carburetor 20 will get off with shortness in length. In addition, since the air cleaner 21 and the connecting duct 22 are formed into a longitudinal form while they are set up in the center of the space A, these radiators 24 can be set up both left and right sides of the space A.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to a motorcycle that employs a front air intake/rear exhaust system, and particularly relates to an air cleaner for supplying clean air to an engine, and an air cleaner for controlling engine cooling water to a predetermined temperature. Regarding the arrangement structure of the radiator for holding the radiator in place. [Prior Art] Modern motorcycles have a so-called front intake system in which the carburetor is connected to the front side of the engine and the exhaust pipe is connected to the rear side of the engine. There is a rear exhaust system. This type of motorcycle was developed for competition use, in which it runs at high speed on a predetermined course, and the intake system of this competition motorcycle is equipped with an air cleaner to reduce intake resistance as much as possible and improve output. It is constructed so that outside air is directly sucked in without providing any airflow (see, for example, Japanese Patent Application No. 168815/1982). (Problems to be Solved by the Invention) By the way, in order to adopt the above-mentioned front intake/rear exhaust system to commercially available motorcycles for use on public roads, it is necessary to supply clean air filtered by an air cleaner to the engine in order to ensure the durability of the engine. In this case, it is necessary to develop an intake system suitable for the special structure in which the fuel supply system is connected to the front side of the engine. For example, depending on the arrangement structure of the air cleaner, the air cleaner capacity may vary. There are concerns that the air cleaner and the fuel supply system may be insufficient, the connecting duct between the air cleaner and the fuel supply system may become long, or it may be difficult to secure space for radiator placement. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a motorcycle that can secure sufficient air cleaner capacity without increasing the length of the duct connecting the air cleaner and fuel supply system when adopting an intake/rear exhaust system, and can also secure space for radiator placement. [Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention provides a motorcycle in which a fuel supply device is connected to the front side of the engine and an exhaust pipe is connected to the rear side. The present invention is characterized in that a vertically long air cleaner is arranged, the air cleaner is connected to the fuel supply device, and vertically long radiators are arranged on both the left and right sides of the air cleaner. includes both a normal carburetor and a fuel injection device in which a fuel injection valve and a throttle valve are arranged in a Ventcher pipe. [Function] According to the motorcycle according to the present invention, the Since the air cleaner is placed in a relatively wide space near the center and close to the fuel supply device, sufficient air cleaner capacity can be secured, and the connecting duct with the fuel supply device can be shortened. Since the radiator is long and vertically long, there is a relatively wide space on both the left and right sides, and since the radiator is divided into left and right halves and is vertically long, this space can be used in the left and right spaces. A radiator can be arranged. (Example) An example of the present invention will be described below with reference to figures. Figures 1 and 2 are diagrams for explaining a motorcycle according to an example of the present invention. In the figure, l is the motorcycle of this embodiment, and the body frame 2 of this vehicle extends diagonally downward to the rear of the vehicle body from the hemlock pipe 2a at the front end. A rear arm bracket 2C is integrally formed at the rear end of a pair of main frames 2b (when facing forward), and the rear arm brackets 2C are connected to each other by a cross pipe 2d. With the above hesode pipe 2a,
A front fork 4 that pivotally supports the front fork 3 at its lower end is pivotally supported so as to be steerable left and right. A right-hand split type steering handle 4a is fixed. Further, the rear arm 6, which pivotally supports the rear arm 5 at its rear end, is pivotally supported by the rear arm bracket 2C so as to be movable up and down. Further, on the upper side of the vehicle body frame 2, from the front, fuel tanks 7. A seat 8 is arranged, and the left, right, and rear sides of the seat 8 are covered with side covers 93. Furthermore, the left side of the vehicle body frame 2. The right side and the lower part are surrounded by a cowling 9, and the engine unit IO is suspended and supported within the cowling 9. This engine unit 10 is a water-cooled two-stroke V-type two-cylinder engine, and has a pair of upper and lower cylinder bodies 12. and the cylinder head 13 upward relative to the horizontal plane. Roughly divided below,
They are connected so that the bank angle is 90 degrees, and this is fastened to the crankcase 1l using a hend bolt 14. An exhaust port 12a is formed in the rear wall of each cylinder body l2, and each exhaust port 12a is formed in the rear wall of each cylinder body l2.
The front ends of a pair of upper and lower exhaust pipes 15.15 are connected to a. The upper exhaust pipe 15 extends obliquely upward in a substantially straight line from the inside of the left and right main frames 2b to the rear end of the vehicle through the inside of the side force bar 9a. It extends approximately horizontally from the bottom of the crankcase 11 through the right side of the vehicle to the rear end of the vehicle. Each piston 16 inserted into each cylinder of each cylinder body l2 is connected to the left side of a crankshaft 17 disposed in the front part of the crankcase l1 in the vehicle width direction. They are each connected to the right crank arm 17a via connecting ronds 18. Each crank arm 17a is
The left side is integrally formed inside the crankcase 1l. It is located inside the right crank chamber 11a. Furthermore, intake openings 1lb are formed between the upper and lower cylinder bodies 12 and 12 when viewed from the side of the front wall of the crank chamber 11a, and each intake opening 1lb has an intake pipe portion 11c. It is integrally formed so that it extends almost horizontally. A discharge port 20b, which is an opening on the downstream side of the carburetor 20, is connected to each intake pipe portion 11c via a capsilar insert 19. Therefore, in each carburetor 2o, the axis of the venturi passage is substantially horizontal and is located at substantially the same height as the crankshaft 17, and the intake port 20a, which is the upstream opening, faces the front of the vehicle. .. Further, an air cleaner 2l is disposed above the engine unit 1o on the front side and at the center in the vehicle width direction. This air cleaner 21 is constructed by interposing an element between upper and lower cases 21a and 2Ib, which are divided into upper and lower halves.
The upper case 21a is attached to the left and right main frames 2b, 2.
Placed between B! An outside air intake port 21c is integrally formed on the back surface of the upper case 21a so as to open rearward, and a rear half 22b of the connecting duct 22 is integrally formed on the lower end of the lower case 2lb. .. This connecting duct 22
When viewed from the front, the air cleaner 21 is located on the left. It has a rectangular shape in front view extending vertically with a width slightly narrower than the dimension between the inner surfaces of the right main frames 2b, 2b. The connecting duct 22 has a structure in which the rear half 22b and the front half 22a are divided into two parts, which are detachably connected by fixing bolts 22c. And the second half 22 above
b has a size that accommodates the vaporizer 20, and the upper part. It is formed in a shape that fills the bank space formed by the lower cylinder body 12.12, and the rear wall is connected to the connecting pipe portion 11c.
penetrates. Further, the front half portion 22a is formed in a curved shape toward the rear in order to avoid interference with the front wheels. In addition, the air cleaner 21. Left side of connecting duct 22. On the right side, there is a left. A right pair of radiators 24 are installed. When viewed from the side, each radiator 24 is slanted so that its upper portion is positioned toward the front, and when viewed from the front, approximately 1/2 width portion thereof is located on the left side. It is located outside of the right main frame 2b. Further, each of the radiators 24 is arranged above the core portion 24a. It has a structure in which a hend tank part 24b is connected to the lower end, and the upper head tank part 24b is fixedly supported by the brackets 2e of the left and right main frames 2b, and the lower head tank part 24b is connected to the engine via a stay 28. It is fixedly supported by the support bracket 2f. Next, the effects of this embodiment will be explained. In this embodiment, the air sucked into the air cleaner 21 from the outside air intake port 21c is filtered by the element and then passed through the connecting duct 2.
2 and is sucked into the carburetor 20, where it becomes a mixture with gasoline and is sucked and supplied into the crank chamber 11a.
In this way, the air cleaner 21 is disposed above the carburetor 20 and the two are connected by the connecting duct 22, so that the front air intake.
While adopting a rear exhaust system, clean air can be supplied to the engine without any problems. In this example, a relatively wide space in front of the engine is used.
In addition, since the air cleaner 2l is arranged in a space close to the carburetor 20, a sufficient capacity of the air cleaner 21 can be secured, and the connecting duct 22 with the carburetor 20 can be shortened. For example, if the air cleaner is placed inside the tank cover 7, the air cleaner capacity can be secured, but the connecting duct becomes longer. On the other hand, if the air cleaner is placed below the engine, the connecting duct will be shorter, but it will be difficult to secure sufficient air cleaner capacity. Furthermore, in this example,
Since the air cleaner 21 is located at a high location, fuel blown back from the engine does not enter the air cleaner 21. Further, since the outside air intake port 21C is located at a high place and opens into the space covered by the tank cover 7, it is possible to prevent rainwater etc. from entering the air cleaner 21. Furthermore, the air cleaner 21 and the connecting duct 22
is narrower than the main frames 2b, 2b, and longer in the vertical direction, and is placed in the center of the space 8, so that space can be secured on the left and right sides of the space 8. Moreover, since the radiator 24 is divided into left and right parts and has a vertically elongated shape, the radiator 24 shown on the left side above. Each radiator 24 can be placed in the space on the right side. [Effects of the Invention] As described above, according to the motorcycle according to the present invention, since the air cleaner is disposed in a relatively wide space in front of the engine and close to the fuel supply device, the air cleaner can be easily connected to the fuel supply device. Sufficient air cleaner capacity can be secured without increasing the length of the duct, and since the vertical air cleaner is placed approximately in the center in the vehicle width direction, the left side of the air cleaner can be secured. This has the effect of securing space for the radiator on the right side.
