The mechanism of how the milk replacer composition of the present invention has excellent effects is not necessarily clear, but in conventional milk replacer compositions, the main component of the milk replacer, skim milk powder, is denatured to improve the ability of the baby to digest the milk. It had a bad influence on sexuality (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 57-18
6445) uses medium-chain fatty acids or their salts to help digest and disperse skim milk powder in the digestive tract, as well as directly supplying energy to offspring and improving nutrition, thereby reducing the occurrence of diarrhea. This is thought to lead to prevention and lower mortality rates.

In any case, it is surprising that by incorporating medium-chain fatty acids or their salts into a milk replacer composition or a milk replacer (aqueous solution or dispersion) according to the present invention, the occurrence of diarrhea in livestock can be prevented and mortality rates can be reduced. This will significantly increase the value of milk substitutes and greatly contribute to the promotion of the livestock industry.
