[Industrial Field of Application] The present invention relates to an improvement in the moat knife of a carding machine, which is installed below the take-in roller of the carding machine and performs dust removal and fiber opening functions. [Conventional technology and its problems] Conventional moat knives are knife-shaped or approximately triangular in cross section, and are installed close to the take-in roller, and utilize the air flow and centrifugal force on the circumferential surface of the take-in roller. , removing impurities and short fibers present in the fiber mass gripped by the teeth of the take-in roller. However, it is difficult to separate the impurities wrapped in the fiber mass, and even if the fiber is spinnable, if it is in the form of a lump, it will fall off, or it will not be opened and cannot be spun in the subsequent process. There was a problem that it caused problems. As a solution to the above problems, there are methods that are parallel to the rotating direction or axial direction of the take-in roller, as in, for example, Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 51-8283 and Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 61-33877 (Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 62-14132). There is a moat knife with a large number of metal wires or sortee blades arranged and fixed. However, since the moat knife mentioned above is mainly aimed at improving the splitting and opening effects of the fiber mass,
When the spinning raw material or the spinning count is changed, the splitting action sometimes becomes excessive, damaging the spinnable fibers, increasing the short fiber content, and making it difficult to maintain the cotton drop rate, which is important for carding. There was a problem that it became difficult to control the value to a certain level, and this caused problems in spinning in subsequent steps. [Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems. An auxiliary moat knife is attached to the vertical surface of the moat knife body, which has a substantially triangular shape, so that its position can be adjusted in the vertical direction.Even if the spinning raw material or the spinning count is changed, the auxiliary moat knife is attached to the vertical surface of the moat knife body, which is important for carding operation. A dust removal and opening effect that allows the ratio to be adjusted to an appropriate value, as well as effectively splitting and opening the fiber mass, and further separating contaminants and short fibers wrapped in the fiber mass. It offers a large carding machine moat knife. [Example] Hereinafter, an example of the moat knife of the present invention will be described based on the drawings. FIGS. 1a and 1b are perspective views showing one embodiment of the moat knife of the present invention. The moat knife main body 1 has a substantially triangular cross section,
A groove 3 is bored in the axial direction of the take-in roller on the surface 2 facing the take-in roller of the carding machine, that is, the working surface. Fixed. The sort-ease blade mounting base 4 has a plurality of mounting grooves 8 formed in the axial direction of the take-in roller for arranging the sort-ease blades 7 in a row on the surface 6 facing the take-in roller. A sortee blade 7 is fitted and fixed. Elevated surface (fiber inlet side surface) 1 of the moat knife body 1 provided with the sortee blade 7 as described above
An auxiliary moat knife 9 is fixed to the moat knife 2 with a screw 11 so that its vertical position can be adjusted, and constitutes a moat knife 13. The auxiliary moat knife 9 has a thin plate shape with a cutting edge 14 having an included angle α of 15° to 30° at the tip, and has a plurality of elongated holes 10 in the vertical direction. The position can be adjusted in the vertical direction. The auxiliary moat knife 9 is arranged such that its cutting edge 14 protrudes from the tip 15 of the moat knife main body 1. In the above embodiment, the saw blade 7 was attached to the moat knife body 1 via the saw blade attachment base, but it can also be attached directly in the axial direction or rotational direction of the take-in roller. [Function] FIG. 2 is an explanatory view of the state in which the moat knife 13 of the present invention is used, and FIG. 3 is an enlarged view of the state in which the moat knife of the present invention in FIG. 2 is attached. As shown in Fig. 2, the moat knife 1 of the present invention
3 is located close to the take-in roller 16 between a dish plate 17 placed close to the take-in roller 16 and a take-in under casing 18 placed below the take-in roller 16;
The position is adjustable. Here, the fibers fed by the feed roller 19 provided on the upper surface of the tip of the dish plate 17 are gripped by the teeth of the metallic clothing 20 wound around the take-in roller 19 and reach the moat knife 13. For large fiber lumps, use Mort Knife 1
It is squeezed by the cutting edge 14 of the auxiliary moat knife 9 provided on the vertical surface 12 on the side of the dish plate 17 of No. 3 and the airflow and centrifugal force on the circumferential surface of the metallic clothing 20 wrapped around the take-in roller 16. While the fibers become small agglomerates, large impurities and short fibers are separated and removed. The fiber lumps that have become smaller are further combed by the sorting ease blade 7 and divided into fibers.
As the fibers are opened, small impurities and short fibers are further separated and removed from the spinnable fibers. The impurities and short fibers separated and removed as described above fall below the take-in roller 16 and become debris, and the spinnable fibers are transferred to the cylinder to form a web. By the way, in order to effectively perform dust removal and opening even when the spinning raw material and spinning count are changed, the distance C between the outlet of the moat knife main body 1 and the take-in under casing 18 should be set at 25, as shown in FIG. It is best to change or adjust within the range of ~60mm. Next, the results of a comparative test between the moat knife of the present invention and a conventional moat knife will be shown. Test conditions Fiber: Cotton 40 S1 production amount: 20Kg/Hr Cylinder rotation speed: 500r.pm Dotshua rotation speed: 30r.pm Tekine rotation speed: 920r.pm Test results Tekine decline rate Conventional 0.9% Invention 0.6% Tekine decline cotton content Analysis results of

The moat knife of the carding machine according to the present invention has an auxiliary moat knife attached to the moat knife main body, and its cutting edge has an included angle of 15° to 30°, so large fiber lumps are efficiently squeezed in advance and small fiber lumps are formed. At the same time, large impurities and short fibers are also separated and removed. Furthermore, since the amount of protrusion of the cutting edge of the auxiliary moat knife can be changed, even if the spinning raw material or spinning count is changed, the cotton drop rate, which is important for carding, can be adjusted to an appropriate value. Moreover,
The sauté blade on the main body of the Mort knife effectively separates and opens the fiber mass, and further separates impurities and short fibers wrapped in the fiber mass, improving sliver quality and increasing production volume. This is a highly practical idea that can improve yields and the like.
