Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to form inexpensively a coating film excellent in applicability, retention of an ability to prevent sticking of paper and stain resistance by coating the surface of a structure with a topcoating material containing a specified graft copolymer and an aggregate. CONSTITUTION:A topcoating material is obtained by mixing 1-60 pts.wt. graft copolymer obtained by partially radical-polymerizing a silicone macromonomer or a fluorocarbon marcromonomer with 1-40 pts.wt. aggregate which is a powder of a particle diameter of 0.1-3.0mm selected from among a natural stone powder, its processed product, a natural fiber powder, and a synthetic resin powder and optionally a resin component, an extender pigment, a coloring pigment, an addition and a solvent. The surface of a structure such as a wall surface of a building, a fence, a wall, a utility pole, a pedestrian bridge or a gate post is coated with the topcoating material to form a nonsticky coating film having many protrusions thereon, thus preventing the sticking of paper thereto.

The surfaces of the structures are areas on which advertisements, posters, etc. are pasted, such as building walls, fences, telephone poles, pedestrian bridges, gates, etc. As the graft copolymer (graft copolymer) which is a component of the top coating, a conventional commercially available product is used. The method for producing this graft copolymer is disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 59-2037.
Publication No. 88, JP-A-60. It is known from the publication No.-123518. The molecular structure of this graft copolymer consists of a side chain polymer component that provides non-stick properties and a main chain polymer component that helps form a coating film.

The top coat contains 1 to 60 parts by weight of a graft copolymer and 1 to 40 parts by weight of aggregate. In addition, resin components for coating film formation, extender pigments, coloring pigments, additives, and solvents are added to the top coat as necessary. The top coat paint is applied by roller, spray, brush, etc. The top coat is applied after applying the base coat if necessary.

During the drying process of the top coat, the graft copolymer is oriented on the surface of the coat. Is this because the graft copolymer is a side chain polymer component, a silicone component that reduces the surface free energy of the coating film, or a fluoride component? This is because it has a ruquil component. Since these side chain polymer components have good non-adhesive properties, the formed coating film exhibits good adhesive-preventing properties and adhesive removability.

Since the main chain polymer component of the graft polymer has film-forming properties, it can be used alone as a film-forming resin for paints. In addition, when blended with ordinary film-forming resins for paints, the main chain polymer component of these graft copolymers has good affinity with the film-forming resin for paints, so it forms a strong graft copolymer on the surface of the paint film. Form a layer of polymer. Since this graft copolymer layer is not easily washed away by rain or the like, the non-stick properties of the coating film can be maintained for a long period of time. In addition, since it is difficult to adsorb dust, it has good stain resistance.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, in the present invention, by using a top coat containing a graft copolymer and an aggregate, the coating film is given non-adhesive properties and surface unevenness, and long-term prevention of pasting is achieved. This makes it possible to provide a coating film with good adhesiveness (non-adhesion). Therefore, it is impossible or difficult to paste advertisements or other posters on the surface of the structure in which the present invention is implemented. Therefore, even if it is pasted, it is temporary and can peel off naturally or simply be peeled off.

The graft copolymer used in the present invention exhibits sufficient anti-adhesion properties when used in a relatively small amount with respect to ordinary film-forming resins in topcoat paints, so it can be used in combination with conventional silicone resins for the purpose of preventing pasting. It becomes possible to provide a sticker-preventing coating film that is cheaper than other paints or fluororesin-based paints.
