Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve weather resistance and fitness for coating being capable of coating with uniformly beautiful patterns on convex portions on the surface of a base material by specifying a viscosity of a coating for pattern-forming in applying with rolling on the convex portions on the surface of a ceramic base material. SOLUTION: This paint is for pattern-forming in order to apply with rolling on convex portions on the surface of a ceramic base material wherein viscosity of the coating is 700-2,250 cps/6 rpm and 340-900 cp/60 rpm as viscosity by a rotational viscometer: and viscosity (cp) when rotating at 6 rpm/viscosity (cp) when rotating at 60 rpm in the equation is 2.0-2.6. A waterproofing sealer layer 2 is formed by performing waterproofing sealer coating on the base material having the pattern form on the convex portions on the surface obtained from compression molding of the pattern coating with cement plaster or the like. After first coloring layer 3 is applied on all surface region on the waterproofing sealer layer 2, second coloring layer 4 is formed by a convex roll on the convex portions and then pattern-coating 5 is formed by faithfully applying with rolling at a fixed site on the coloring layer 4.

[0003] Similar to the method of pattern painting using such flexographic ink, cement-based,
Attempts have been made to apply patterning to the surface of ceramic-based substrates such as gypsum. For example, as shown in FIG. 1, a waterproof sealer layer (2) is provided on the entire surface of a substrate (1) having a convex pattern such as a brick joint, a tile joint, a split stone tone on the surface, and spray coating or flow coating is performed. Forming a first colored layer (3) so as to cover the entire surface with a coater coating or the like,
Next, it is being studied to apply the second coloring layer (4) only to the surface of the convex portion using the height difference, and then to apply the pattern coating (5) with a patterned convex roll. . In this case, a method using a pattern roll for pattern painting (5) is considered to be the same as the flexographic printing as described above.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION The invention of this application has the features as described above, and embodiments thereof will be described below. First of all, the pattern paint of the invention of the present application is different from ink used in conventional flexographic printing, and is classified as a paint, and its composition component is, like the conventional colored paint, It contains a curing component such as a resin for forming a coating film and a pigment or colorant. And it is a hydrogen or non-aqueous solvent type paint.

For example, according to the distinction of the curing components such as resins, various paint compositions such as acrylic resin type, urethane resin type, fluorine resin type and silicon inorganic type are included in the pattern paint in the present invention. In particular, as the pattern paint of the present invention, a paint which forms a highly weather-resistant coating film having an acrylic resin-based, acrylic silicon resin-based, fluorine resin-based, or inorganic composition is preferably used.

[0013] With regard to the pattern paint of this application,
As described above, the viscosity of the paint at the time of rotation at 6 rpm as measured by a rotational viscometer is in the range of 700 to 2250 cps. When the pattern is less than 700 cps, a uniform and beautiful required pattern cannot be faithfully reproduced at the time of pattern painting, for example, by convex roll painting, and the flow of the paint is too large. On the other hand, if the viscosity is more than 2250 cps, the viscosity is too high, which causes a problem in agitation of the paint before use, adhesion to a roll, and the like.

The viscosity of the pattern paint of the present invention is 3 when the rotational viscometer rotates at 60 rpm.
It is preferably in the range of 40 to 900 cps. 34
If it is less than 0 cps, the transfer to the roll is small due to the low-viscosity flow of the paint, and it becomes difficult to express a sufficient pattern. On the other hand, when it exceeds 900 cps, transfer to a roll becomes extremely large due to high viscosity, and it becomes difficult to faithfully represent a pattern.

The pattern paint of the present invention has a TI value indicative of thixotropy, that is, 6 rpm by a rotational viscometer.
It may further be appropriate that the ratio of the viscosities at each rotation of m and 60 rpm is in the range from 2.0 to 2.6 in the above formula. If the TI value is lower than 2.0, the pattern will be in a flowing state, that is, larger than a predetermined value. On the other hand, when it exceeds 2.6, a striped pattern is further generated in the original pattern. this is,
This is because leveling (uniform spreading) cannot be performed when the image is transferred to a convex portion on the surface of the base material. For this reason,
Preferably, the TI value is in the range of 2.0 to 2.6.

In order to keep the viscosity and the TI value of the paint in the above-mentioned desirable ranges, the proportions of the hardening components such as resins and pigments, the combination thereof, and the use of water or an organic solvent as a solvent. The use of various means such as the ratio, selection thereof, and addition of a thickener are considered. Furthermore, in the pattern paint of the present invention, the solid content in the paint is 55 to 65% by weight, more preferably 6 even when the viscosity at 60 rpm or the TI value is out of the above range.
By setting the content to 0% by weight or more, a beautiful pattern can be similarly formed.

Conventionally, a water-based acrylic emulsion paint or the like has a solid content of at most about 50% by weight, but in the present invention, it is effective to set the solid content to 55 to 65% by weight. This is made possible by adjusting the mixing ratio of a curing component such as a resin or a pigment. If there is a concern that the emulsion particles are destroyed due to an increase in the amount of the pigment and the weather resistance and stability are deteriorated, it is also considered to make the emulsion particles harder.

The pattern coating of the ceramic substrate using the pattern paint of the present invention can be considered, for example, as a typical method as shown in FIG. That is, a waterproof sealer layer (2) is formed by applying a waterproof sealer coating to a substrate (1) having a convex pattern on the surface, which is formed by compression molding of a cement-based gypsum-based material or the like. Next, the first colored layer (3) is applied to the entire required surface area, and the second colored layer (4) is applied to the convex portions by coating with a convex roll or the like.

As a result, two-color coating is performed. The pattern paint of the invention of this application is faithfully applied to a predetermined portion on the second colored layer (4) by roll coating to form a pattern paint (5). Of course, if necessary, the first colored layer (3) and the second colored layer (4)
May be omitted as appropriate, or only one layer may be provided. However, from the viewpoints of weatherability, appearance and the like, it is preferable to apply a pattern coating (5) thereon as a two-coat coating.

Further, the first colored layer (3), the second colored layer (4), and the pattern coating (5) have a remarkable difference in weather resistance when they are completely different paints. This can cause extreme pattern degradation.
Therefore, in order to avoid such a problem, it is desirable that these paints use a hardening component such as the same or the same or similar resin as much as possible. The same applies to pigments.

With respect to the paint for the pattern coating (5), the viscosity by a rotational viscometer, the TI value, and the solid content ratio in the dye were variously changed. Suitability was evaluated by the state of pattern transfer. The evaluation was performed visually, and the evaluation was as follows. A: Extremely good B: There is some problem in the state of adhesion to the roll, but good C: Flow of the pattern, or conversely, the formation of a striped pattern in the pattern, and furthermore, there is a problem in the state of adhesion to the roll Table 1 shows the result of the example of the present invention, and Table 2 shows the result of the comparative example.
