Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts used, facilitate works for fitting, and accomplish a terminal connecting device with high reliability by providing a cluster with an insulative covering member consolidated as in a single piece, wherein the covering member is fitted in a metal outer ring of an air-tight terminal so as to block the opening of outer ring. CONSTITUTION:An air-tight terminal 5 is provided with a cup-shaped outer ring 6 of metal and a pin 8 installed upright in the center of this outer ring through a glass part 7, so as to penetrate the inside and outside of an enclosure case 2, and fixed so that the opening 9 of this same 5 faces the inside of the case 2. The pin 8 is inserted in a pin insert hole 15 while an insulative covering member 13 formed on a cluster 10 in a single piece is fitted by pressure into the outer ring 6. Thereby the opening 9 of the outer ring 6 is blocked at the same time connecting operation of cluster 10, and the covering member 13 has a comparatively large thickness, so that close and storing contact is accomplished to the inside of the outer ring 6. Also the covering member 13 is prevented from rattling caused by air intrusion to the inside thereof, and metal powder is avoided to flow into the inside of the terminal 5 and attach to the glass part 7, and also electric leakage or breakage of the terminal due to spark can be precluded in advance.

金属粉の耐着といった現象を確実に防止し、スパークに
よる気密端子5の破損や漏電事故を未然に防止できる。
