Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the insulation ability of a sealed terminal by fitting a cylindrical part formed in a cluster attached to a lead wire from a motor element, in the cup-like inner wall of the sealed terminal. CONSTITUTION:A motor element 2 and a compression element which is not shown are disposed in a casing 1. A sealed terminal 3 is fixed to the side wall of the casing 1. A cylindrical part 10a is formed in a cluster 10 attached to a lead wire 9 from the stator 5 of the motor element 2. The outer diameter section of the cylindrical part 10a is fitted in the cylindrical part of the body 6 of the sealed terminal 3 which is therefore covered. Even though the motor element is burnt due to any reason so as to generate carbide, it is possible to prevent carbide from adhering to a glass seal 8 since the inside of the sealed terminal 3 is covered with the cylindrical part 10a of the cluster 10. Thus, it is possible to enhance the insulation ability of the sealed terminal.
