Abstract

PURPOSE:To continue a signal processing with effectively utilizing the signal processing part of a single series by detecting the release of a signal distributing circuit, and directly bypassing an input data signal with the use of an outputted alarm signal by means of a switching circuit. CONSTITUTION:The data signal inputted from a data signal line 6 is converted to a signal which can be distributed by a signal distributing circuit 1, and then distributed through a signal processing part A4 and a switching circuit 2 to a signal processing part B5. When the signal distributing circuit 1 is released, a panel omission detecting circuit 3 detects the release, and generates an alarm signal. The switching circuit 2 received with the alarm signal switches the data signal line, and forms a bypass so as to input the input data signal from the data signal line 6 directly to the signal processing part B5.

In the conventional transmission device described above, since the input data signal is an undistributable signal, the signal distribution circuit converts it into a distributable signal and distributes it to two signal processing sections. If separation occurs, there is a drawback that signals are not sent to the signal processing units of the two systems, causing both systems to go down.

The signal system bypass method according to the present invention uses a signal distribution circuit that distributes input data signals and generates an alarm signal when this signal distribution circuit is disconnected in a transmission device that has a redundant configuration of signal processing sections. The present invention is characterized in that it includes a panel missing detection circuit, and a switching circuit that switches signal paths in response to the alarm signal from the panel missing detection circuit.

The transmission device of this embodiment has a redundant configuration having two systems of signal processing units A4 and B5, and input data signals from the data signal line 6 to signal processing units A4 and B5. A signal distribution circuit 1 that distributes to B5, a panel disconnection detection circuit 3 that detects when the signal distribution circuit 1 is detached, and a data signal from the signal distribution circuit 1 in response to an alarm signal from the panel disconnection detection circuit 3. A switching circuit 2 is provided which opens the line 7 and directly switches and connects the data signal line 6 to the signal processing section B5.

If the signal distribution circuit 1 is detached, the panel detachment detection circuit 3 detects this and generates an alarm signal. Upon receiving this alarm signal, the switching circuit 2 switches the data signal line as shown by the broken line to form a bypass so that the input data signal from the data signal line 6 is directly input to the signal processing section B5.

As explained above, in the present invention, when the signal distribution circuit is disconnected, the input data signal is directly bypassed by the switching circuit by the alarm signal output 1 and 7 upon detection of this, and thereby the signal of one system is transmitted. Since signal processing can be continued by making use of the processing section, there is an effect of preventing two systems from going down.
