Abstract

PURPOSE:To determine a highly efficient track and a ship speed automatically by a method wherein maritime meteorological condition, reference value of fuel consumption and scheduled track are inputted by an input means to compute a ship speed allowed for maritime meteorological condition and the results of computation are shown on a display means. CONSTITUTION:A reference value of fuel consumption of a ship intended for programming a track (change in fuel consumption corresponding to a change in a ship speed predetermined) is inputted with a fuel consumption reference value input device 6 to be stored into a fuel consumption reference memory 7. Then, maritime meteorological condition such as wind and tide on an actual track is inputted into a maritime meteorological condition input device 1 and shown on a display device 8 to be stored into a maritime meteorological condition memory 2. As for a change in maritime meteorological condition, correction is performed with the input device 1 and the memory 2 is corrected. Then, a scheduled track is inputted using a track input device 3 to be stored into a track memory 4. When the scheduled track is inputted, a track programming computing device 5 calculates the optimum ship speed economically between course changing points of the track based on the maritime meteorological condition and the fuel consumption reference value stored and the results are shown on the display device 8.

[Conventional technology] In principle, a ship's route can be said to be the shortest waterway between two points, but it also takes into account natural conditions such as water depth, danger from reefs, ocean currents, weather conditions, and the level of navigational technology. In recent years, due to the rise in fuel costs, we have adopted a navigational technique called optimal navigation, which takes the route that minimizes navigation costs, and takes into account the relationship between fuel consumption and ship speed. , calculates efficient routes through calculations.

[Problem to be solved by the invention] In the conventional optimal navigation system as described above, the ship speed preset by the ship operator is used as the ship speed data between waypoints on the route, and sea conditions such as wind and current are used as ship speed data. Since changes in ship speed due to changes in speed are not taken into account, it will differ from the actual ship speed.
This has the problem of causing errors in the calculation results and making it difficult to determine efficient routes and ship speeds.

First, input the fuel consumption standard value of the ship for which route planning is to be carried out (i.e., the change in fuel consumption corresponding to the change in ship speed determined in advance) using the fuel consumption standard value input device (6). and stores it in the fuel consumption reference value storage device (7). Next, the sea conditions such as wind and tidal currents on the actual route are inputted using the sea conditions input device (1). The input sea conditions are displayed on the display device (8), checked, and then stored in the sea conditions storage device (2). In addition, if there is a change in the sea conditions due to changes in winds or currents, the data stored in the sea conditions storage device (2) may be displayed on the display device (8).

Next, the planned route is input using the route input bag W (3) and is stored in the route storage device (4). When the planned route is input, the route planning calculation device (5) calculates and displays the economically optimal ship speed between the waypoints of the route based on the stored sea conditions and fuel consumption standard values. Display on the device (8). Therefore, the ship speed calculated by this route planning calculation device (5) is a ship speed that takes into account the sea conditions, and the most economical ship speed is determined, which can be useful for ship maneuvering.

In addition, by inputting the planned route using the route input device (3) and keeping the ship speed constant, the route planning calculation device (5)
), the estimated arrival time and fuel consumption for the next waypoint on the route in consideration of the sea conditions can be determined, and these can be displayed on the display device (8). Therefore, by inputting various possible routes for the ship into the route input device (3) and trying them out, it is possible to compare the estimated arrival time and fuel consumption of those routes, and select the economically optimal route. You will be able to ask for it.
