PURPOSE:To obtain a growth inhibitor for intestinal noxious bacteria, containing flesh of a bottle gourd as an active ingredient, capable of exhibiting remarkable growth promoting effects on bacteria of the genus Bifidobacterium and further growth inhibitory effects on enterococci, Psuedomonas aeruginosa, etc., and expected as an immunopotentiator, etc. CONSTITUTION:A growth inhibitor containing flesh of a bottle gourd which is a cucurbitaceous annual vine as an active ingredient. The above-mentioned inhibitor can be produced by steam sterilization under 0.2-0.4kg/cm<2> steam pressure for 5-20min sterilization time or alcoholic sterilization with an alcohol in an amount of 15-150g/kg (dried bottle gourd) for a sterilization period of 1-3 days. The afore-mentioned inhibitor has <=5X10<3> cells/g normal viable cell number, negative to the coliform group and Salmonella with <=8% moisture content and is extremely safe in food sanitation. ス、タルりなどの滑沢剤が挙げられ、増殖抑制剤の形状
および/または好みに応じて適宜選択して使用すればよ
