- 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 １ 所定の読取り精度に対応した着磁ゾーンを有
する磁気トラツクが複数列形成されて回転体に装
着された磁性媒体と、 前記磁気トラツクの各列に対応するようにパタ
ーン形成された強磁性体磁気抵抗効果素子を有し
、前記磁気媒体と空隙を介して対向配設される磁
気センサ基板とを備え、 前記強磁性体磁気抵抗効果素子のパターンは連
続して所定数を超えない範囲内で同一ライン上に
位置する群パターンと、このラインから外れた位
置に設けられる弧立パターンとの組合わせにより
形成されていることを特徴とする磁気エンコーダ
。 ２ 前記強磁性体磁気抵抗効果素子の各パターン
は長さ２．３mm以下であり、前記群パターンはこ
のパターン数が同一ライン上に連続して８個未満
の範囲内で設けられている請求項第１項記載の磁
気エンコーダ。
