Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent output of abnormal data without lowering the processing speed of a device by rewriting the leading edge of a used receiving buffer area produced upon receiving data to an RTC signal. CONSTITUTION:When data of a channel (n) are sent from a host device, a common controlling section 11 causes the data to be successively stored in the receiving buffer area for the channel (n) of a receiving buffer 12 and starts to transmit the data to facsimile terminal equipment 33 by controlling a line corresponding section 23 for the channel (n). When the section 23 completely outputs the data, the controlling section 11 writes an RTC in MH and NR signals in the leading edge section of the buffer area and successively performs such operations to receiving buffer areas of all channels. Therefore, output of abnormal data can be prevented without lowering the processing speed.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) As mentioned above, in the conventional abnormal data output prevention method, the reception buffer for receiving facsimile image signals is installed in the common control unit, and usually has a certain size. Therefore, if the buffer is cleared every time it is used, the disadvantage is that the time required for clearing reduces the processing speed of the entire device.

An object of the present invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks by writing an RTC signal at the head of the buffer instead of clearing the used data buffer, and to provide an abnormal data output prevention method configured so as not to reduce the processing speed. Our goal is to provide the following.

When n-channel data is sent from the host device, the common control unit 11 stores the n-channel reception buffer area #n-.
1*#n-2, and controls the n-channel line correspondence section 23 to begin transmitting the data to the facsimile 33 terminal. When the line correspondence section 23 finishes outputting the data of #n-1, the common control section 11 writes the RTC with the MH multiplied signal M-signal at the beginning of the buffer area for #n-1. This process is sequentially performed on the reception buffer areas of all channels.

As a result, even if there is some abnormality in the device and the contents of the buffer that has already been output are sent to the facsimile terminal again on the same channel or on another channel, the RTC is added to the beginning of the data. Therefore, the receiving terminal ignores the data after the RTC and does not receive it.

Therefore, data is prevented from actually being output to the terminal.

(Effects of the Invention) As explained above, the present invention rewrites the beginning of the used reception buffer area with an RTC signal as data is received, which improves the processing of the device compared to the case where the entire buffer is cleared. This has the effect that it is possible to prevent the same data from being erroneously transmitted again or output to another terminal without reducing the speed, and the confidentiality of the transmitted data can be ensured.
