  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 装置本体に格納され、内部にインクリボンを収
    容するリボンカセツトと、このリボンカセツトか
    らインクリボンを引出すリボン給送機構と、印字
    素子とを備え、インクリボンを引出しながら印字
    素子により記録媒体上に印字を行う印字装置にお
    いて、 前記リボンカセツトに着脱可能に取付けられ、
    リボンカセツト内部でのインクリボンの動きを規
    制するリボンストツパと、 リボンカセツトが装置本体内に格納された際、
    該リボンカセツトに前記リボンストツパが取付け
    られているか否かを検出し、取付けられている場
    合には少なくとも前記リボン給送機構の引出し動
    作を禁止するリボンストツパ検出機構を設けたこ
    とを特徴とする印字装置。
