Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a white porcelain having high whiteness degree, being readily subjected to china-painting by applying frit to glaze-free ground calcined in a reducing atmosphere in a given high-temperature range and sintering the calcined ground in an oxidizing atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Ground body consisting of 10-20wt.% feldspar, 20-30wt.% silica rock and 35-65wt.% clays is calcined in a reducing atmosphere in a high- temperature range at 1,200-1,400 deg.C like ordinary porcelain. Then the calcined glaze-free ground is coated with the following frit glaze and sintered in an oxidizing atmosphere at 1,050-1,180 deg.C to give the aimed white porcelain. The blending ratio of the frit glaze is 0-10wt.% kaolin, 0-10wt.% sericite, 80-90wt.% frit and 0-10wt.% feldspar. Since the ground is calcined in the above-mentioned method at high temperature like ordinary porcelain, the prepared white porcelain has high strength by fastening, low water absorption ratio and high whiteness degree by suppressing coloring caused by oxidation thereof because of calcination in a reducing atmosphere even if a very small amount of metals is contained.

Problems to be solved by conventional techniques and ideas Conventionally, ordinary white porcelain has been bisque fired at 700°C to 800°C, then oiled with a high melting point porcelain glaze, and heated to 1200°C in a reducing atmosphere.
It is fired at ~1,350°C in a reducing atmosphere, resulting in a high level of whiteness, but due to the high melting point of yuzu, it is difficult for the top paint to melt into the glaze, making it less decorative. Ta.

On the other hand, bone china mixed with bone ash as a medium is turned into porcelain at a lower temperature than general porcelain, so it is fired at 1180°C to 1200°C in an oxidizing atmosphere, and then recirculated in an oxidizing atmosphere after glazing! The glaze is fired at a temperature of 130°C to 1150°C, and has high translucency and the melting point of the glaze is low, making it easy for the top paint to melt into the yuzu, making it highly decorative. Since the bone ash is calcined with iron, fine metals such as iron contained in the bone ash are likely to oxidize and develop colors such as eyelid color, making it difficult to obtain a high degree of whiteness.

Means for Solving the Problems The present invention provides a means for solving these problems in a reducing atmosphere! A frit glaze was applied to an unglazed base that was fired at 200°C to 1400°C, and then fired at 1050°C to 1180°C in an oxidizing atmosphere.

Functions and Effects of the Invention The present invention has the above-mentioned structure, and is made of 1200 pieces like general porcelain.
Since it is fired at a high temperature of 1350°C to 1350°C, it is hardened and has high strength, and has low water absorption.Since it is fired in a reducing atmosphere, even if trace metals are contained in the base, color development due to oxidation is suppressed. Furthermore, since the frit glaze is applied and the glaze is fired at a low temperature, the overglaze paint melts easily into the glaze, resulting in excellent decorative properties. Because it is hardened at high temperatures, it is less prone to penetration than bone china.
