せ、以つて運転時の慣性力を軽減するバランサ装
置において、 機関のクランクシヤフトに駆動されて常時回転
すると共に上記バランスシヤフトを部分的に包囲
するクラツチケースを設け、該クラツチケースと
上記バランスシヤフトとの間に電気粘性流体を介
在せしめ、機関運転条件に応じて該電気粘性流体
に通電、或いは通電停止することによりクラツチ
ケースからのバランスシヤフトへの駆動力伝達を
可変としたことを特徴とする、内燃機関のバラン
