[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Technical Field] The present invention relates to a headrest device, and particularly relates to a vehicle seat equipped with a reversible backrest that can be moved to either the front or rear ends of the seat, that is, a front row backrest. This device is suitable for application to a headrest device for a vehicle seat that can be reversed to face a person seated in the rear row.

For vehicles, such as wagon type cars, 3
Vehicles that are equipped with rows of seats, with the second row seat rotating so that it can sit facing a person seated in the third row, have come into use. The headrest body installed on the second row of seats does not change its front-to-back direction even after the seat is rotated. In other words, the surface that receives the back of the occupant's head remains facing the back of the occupant's head even after the seat is rotated. However, the function of the headrest itself will not be impaired. However, the mechanism that rotates the seat is heavy, has many parts, requires assembly effort, and has a complicated structure, resulting in an increase in vehicle weight and cost.
This resulted in worsening fuel efficiency. Therefore, there was a need for a seat that had a simple structure and was lightweight, and that could be used to seat two people. In order to meet these demands, vehicle seats with a structure in which the backrest can be reversed have attracted attention and have been adopted. However, in a vehicle seat equipped with such a reversible backrest, when the backrest 1 is reversed from the state shown in FIG. 1a to the state shown in FIG. 1b, the headrest main body 3 faces the seated person. This has resulted in the drawback that the headrest main body 3's function as a safety pillow is significantly impaired because the surface facing the headrest body 3 faces the opposite side. Therefore, in order to ensure that the surface shaped to receive the back of the seated person's head faces the seated person even after the backrest 1 is inverted, in the conventional device, the stay 4 is moved toward the backrest 1 after the backrest 1 is inverted. Pull it out from the backrest part 1, turn it in the opposite direction, and attach the stay 4 to the backrest part 1 again.
It was a hassle to have to plug it in.

FIGS. 1a and 1b show a so-called reversible backrest 1 in which the backrest 1 can be moved to either the front or rear end of the seat 2, as described above, As an example of a reversing mechanism for the backrest portion 1, one in which arms 5 are provided on both sides is shown. The present invention is a device that can invert the headrest main body 3 equipped with the stay 4 after the backrest part 1 is inverted without having to pull out the stay 4 from the backrest part 1. Details thereof are shown in FIGS. 2 and 3. Shown below. In FIG. 2, the stay 4 is formed into an inverted U-shape, and its upper edge is fixed to the lower surface of the fixing plate 6. These stays 4 and fixing plate 6 are constructed as members independent of the headrest main body 3. The fixing plate 6 is a rectangular plate material, and both sides are formed into an arc shape, and first upright pieces 7 and 8 are formed at opposing positions on both sides of the arc shape, respectively. These first standing pieces 7,
8 has first engagement holes 9 and 10 formed therein. The illustrated first upright piece 7 is formed into a channel-like longitudinal section, has a horizontal piece 7a extending from its tip, and has a guide groove 7b formed inside to function as a guide rail. The other first upright piece 8 is similarly formed and has a horizontal piece 8a and a guide groove 8b. A shaft 11 is attached to the fixed plate 6 having two first upright pieces on both sides, a rotary plate 12 is rotatably attached to the shaft 11, and a cover 13 is also rotatably attached to the shaft 11. To install the fixed plate 6, rotary plate 12, and cover 13, insert the shaft 11 into each center hole 6a, 12a, and 13a, and connect the center hole 6a and the shaft 11.
and the center holes 12a, 13a are fixed to the shaft 1.
By forming the rotary plate 12 and the cover 13 to have a diameter larger than that of the shaft 11, the rotary plate 12 and the cover 13 are configured to rotate around the shaft 11. In addition, rotating plate 1
2 and cover 13 are fixed so that they rotate together. Rotating plate 12 on at least one side of rotating plate 12
A second upright piece 15 is formed which has a second engagement hole 14 that can face the first engagement holes 9 and 10 at a predetermined location on the rotation locus. In the illustrated embodiment, a second upright piece 1 is provided on the other side of the rotating plate 12.
A guide piece 16 having the same shape as 5 is formed, and this shape is formed into an angled shape so that it can be inserted into the guide grooves 7b and 8b. A notch 13b is formed on one side of the cover 13 to facilitate insertion of a lock pin 17, which will be described later, into the first and second engagement holes 9, 10, and 14. Reference numeral 18 in FIG. 2 is a bracket provided within the headrest main body 3 to which the lock pin 17 is attached. A lock pin 17 is inserted into the hole 18a of the bracket 18, one end of a biasing member 19 such as a coil spring is attached to the lock pin 17, and the other end of the biasing member 19 is attached to the cover 13. This biasing member 1
9, the lock pin 17 is always urged to be inserted into the first and second engagement holes 9, 10, and 14.
Further, a lever knob 20 is attached to the lock pin 17.

Next, the operation of the embodiment of the present invention will be explained with reference to the drawing shown in FIG. 3. When the backrest portion 1 is reversed from the state shown in FIG. Pull it toward the right in FIG. 3 against the biasing force of the biasing member 19, thereby pulling out the lock pin 17 from the first and second engagement holes 9, 14 or 10, 14. When the lock pin 17 is pulled out from the first and second engagement holes 9, 14, 10, 14, the headrest main body 3 (with which the rotary plate 12, cover 13, bracket 18, and lock pin 17 are integrally provided) Since it can be rotated around the shaft 11 on the fixed plate 6, it is rotated 180 degrees, and then the first and second engagement holes 10, 1
If the lock pins 17 are inserted again into the positions 4, 9, and 14, the headrest main body 3 will be oriented in the correct direction with respect to the seated person.
