【考案の詳細な説明】 〔技術分野〕 本考案は、車両用シートの背もたれ部に設けた
ヘツドレスト装置に関し、特に座部の前後端のい
ずれにも位置変換可能な反転式背もたれ部を備え
た車両用シート、すなわち、背もたれ部を反転さ
せることにより後列の着座者と対座できる車両用
シート等に適用して好適なヘツドレスト装置に関
するものである。

で簡易な手段で対座できるシートが求められ、こ
のような要望に沿うものとして背もたれ部を反転
できる構造のものが注目される結果となつた。こ
の反転式背もたれ部を備えたシートは、構造も簡
単でシートの深刻な重量増大につながることもな
く、シート全体のコスト増を招来することもな
い。しかしながら、背もたれ部を反転させたと
き、ヘツドレスト本体の着座者の後頭部に対向す
る面が反対側を向いてしまい、ヘツドレスト本体
の機能が著しく損なわれるという欠点が生じた。
したがつて、背もたれ部を反転させたときに、ヘ
ツドレストのステイを背もたれ部より引き抜き、
反対方向に向きを変えて再びステイを差し込まな
ければならないという面倒があつた。

れぞれ示す。ステー5は、通常のヘツドレスト装
置と同様に高さ調節、すなわち背もたれ部1への
所望の差し込み深さでロツクすることができるよ
うになつている。ヘツドレスト本体4の下面、例
えばヘツドレスト本体4の骨格を形成するフレー
ム(図示せず)あるいは第2図に示すような底板
6にシヤフト7を回動可能に取付けてある。この
シヤフト7の大径部7aは、底板6の孔6aの径
より大きく形成し、孔6aからシヤフト7が抜け
落ちないようにしてある。そして、このシヤフト
7の径大の大径部7aと底板6との間に付勢部材
8を介在させ、ヘツドレスト本体4を常に下方へ
押圧している。何故ヘツドレスト本体4が付勢部
材8により下方に押圧されるかというと、ステー
