In the manufacturing and assembly of stepping motors, the process of connecting the stator windings that have been wound around the stator core (poles) to the external lead wires of the stepping motor is a process in which the stator windings are thin and have several connection points, and the process involves connecting them to the external lead wires of the stepping motor. Due to the small space available for this process, it is a cumbersome task. Furthermore, after connecting to the lead wire, the connecting portion is subjected to tensile force from the outside, so it is necessary to have a connecting terminal that is mechanically strong to prevent the connection from becoming disconnected, and that can also protect the wire from bending and cutting.
For this reason, various devices have been devised to connect the stator windings and lead wires, but all have in common that each wire end is connected in a straight line, and electrical and mechanical protection of the connections is required. The only difference is in the method. For example, a method is generally adopted in which the connection portion is covered with a hard insulating tube and inserted into an appropriate gap in the stator. Figure 1 shows a sketch of the stepping motor. Connection terminal 1 according to conventional technology
(covered by a tube) peeks out in the upper left corner. FIG. 2 is a sectional view perpendicular to the rotational axis of the motor, with the conventional connecting terminal 1 shown on the right side. These terminals require the cumbersome process of threading a tube through one of the wires, making the connection between both wires, sliding the tube over the connection, and then setting it in place before making the connection. is necessary. Furthermore, it was difficult to select a suitable location for fixing the tube, and the connection points were also vulnerable to external tension.

Conventional connection structures based on straight-line connections between stator windings and lead wires have more or less the same drawbacks as above, and there has been a need for connection terminals that can be easily connected in a narrow space and are mechanically strong.

The stepping motor connection terminal according to the present invention is
A bag-shaped square groove provided in the insulator (a partition plate provided as an end frame of the winding coil at the base of each pole attached to the stator winding) and a terminal that is pushed into the square groove and stored. The terminal has a head portion that electrically connects the lead wire and the stator winding by fixing the end of the lead wire and wrapping the end portion of the stator winding. The length of the terminal is such that when the terminal is completely housed in the square groove, only the neck part protrudes from the square groove.

The terminal is made of an elastic conductive material, and the end opposite to the neck has the following structure to prevent the terminal from easily coming out once it is accommodated in the square groove.
That is, there are serrated anti-slips on both sides of the end opposite to the neck, and a slit with one opening in the center. The distance between the vertices of the opposing serrations on both sides is greater than the inner width of the square groove by approximately the width of the slit. Also, the forward direction of the anti-slip sawtooth corresponds to the direction in which the terminal is pushed.

First, please confirm the relative relationship between the stator winding 2 and the external lead wire 3 of the stepping motor with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. The stator winding 2 is wound around the poles (eight in the figure) 4 of the stator. In FIG. 2, the number of windings is reduced for convenience of explanation, but in reality, it is wound so many times that the gap between each pole is almost filled. An insulator 5 is provided at the root and top of each pole 4 of the stator as a frame for the winding. The insulator 5 is made of an insulating material, is used exclusively for wiring convenience, and has no electromagnetic or mechanical function. Figures 1 and 2
The position, size, etc. of the insulator 5 can be understood from the figures.

As shown in FIG. 2, bag-shaped square grooves 6 are provided in an appropriate number of insulators. A sketch of each square groove 6 is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4.

The terminal 7 has a collar 8 for connecting the stator winding 2 and the lead wire 3 and is housed by being pushed into the square groove 6. FIGS. 3 and 4 show before and after storage, respectively. The length of the terminal 7 is the fourth when it is completely housed in the square groove 6.
As shown in the figure, only the neck portion 8 should protrude from the square groove 6. There is a relative relationship between the width and thickness of the terminal 7 and the cross-sectional dimensions of the square groove 6.
After being stored in the rectangular groove 6, it is made to have an appropriate size so that it does not easily come out.

In order to prevent the terminal 7 from coming out easily after it is housed in the square groove 6, the terminal 7 has the following structure. First, the terminal 7 is made of an elastic conductive material such as tin-plated brass. At the end of the terminal 7 opposite to the head 8 (lower end in the figure), serrated anti-slips 9 are provided on both sides. Further, a slit 10 with one side open is provided at the center of the same end of the terminal 7 as the anti-slip 9.

The distance between the opposing apexes 9a of the serrations on both sides is larger than the width of the square groove by approximately the width of the slit 10.

With the above structure, when the terminal 7 is pushed into the square groove 6, the width of the slit 10 is reduced, and since the teeth of the anti-slip 9 are oriented in the forward direction with respect to the pushing direction, the width of the slit 10 is reduced. It can be stored smoothly with force. FIG. 4 shows the state of the terminal 7 housed in the square groove 6, particularly the state of the slit 10.
Due to the elasticity of the material, a force is applied to the terminal 7 that is completely housed in the square groove 6 in the direction in which the slit attempts to open.
As a result, the saw teeth of the anti-slip 9 press against the inner side surface of the square groove 6, and the terminal 7 cannot be easily removed.

First, as shown in FIG. 3, the end of the lead wire 3 is fixed to a portion slightly below the neck of the head 8 of the terminal 7 which is in a free state. Next, when the terminal 7 is pushed into the square groove 6 as shown by the arrow in FIG. 3, the terminal 7 is housed with only the neck part 8 protruding from the square groove 6. Thereafter, the terminal portion of the stator winding is wrapped around the neck portion of the head portion 8 of the terminal 7 to complete the connection.
