(Prior Art and Problems to be Solved by the Invention) For example, when supplying fabric to a sewing machine, one by one, starting from the topmost layer of fabric,
If it were possible to automate the feeding of materials onto the sewing machine table, the efficiency of sewing work would be dramatically improved. In this case, the most important problem is how to grasp and separate only the uppermost fabric from a large number of laminated fabrics.
Further, during work such as sewing, there may be cases where it is necessary to change the position of the fabric due to the convenience of the work, or cases where it is necessary to stack the sewn fabric at a predetermined location. In such cases, an important issue is how to grip a piece of fabric reliably. For example, if you want to separate and take out only the top layer of fabric from a large number of stacked fabrics, because the fabric is flexible, the second layer of fabric will be transferred along with it. Alternatively, when the first fabric is transferred, the second fabric may become misaligned due to friction, making it extremely difficult to reliably grasp and separate only the uppermost fabric.

Attempts to solve these problems have been proposed using needle-like members as disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 57-15869 and Japanese Patent Publication No. 54-30590. However, in the case of such a device, there was a problem that not only was it impossible to prevent the tendency of two or more pieces of fabric to be picked up at the same time, but also there was a risk that the separation of the fabrics would become uncertain due to deformation of the needle. . In addition, there are problems with the ease of handling the device, such as the need to make delicate adjustments depending on the thickness of the target fabric, and furthermore, there is a risk that the fabric may be damaged by the needle-like member. However, I was still not satisfied with it.

(Function) Then, the fabric pressing member 9 is lowered toward the uppermost fabric 3a of the fabrics 3 stacked on the fabric support table, and the pressing surface 12 presses the laminated fabric, so that the laminated fabric becomes approximately one piece of fabric. sink by the thickness of In this state, the fabric 3a in the uppermost position lightly contacts the floating surface 15, and is pressed by the pressing surface 12 and fixed immovably. At this time, the lower end 10a of the claw member 10 locally pushes down the fabric 3a at the uppermost position and bites into the fabric 3a. After that, when the claw member 10 is advanced toward the stepped portion 13, the folded cloth portion 3 existing between the claw member 10 and the stepped portion 13
3 smoothly transitions toward the stepped portion 13. Since the fabric 3a is immovably fixed by the pressing surface 12, the folded fabric 33 is folded back from one edge of the pressing surface 12 as it moves,
It gradually invades into the relief groove 21. When the folded cloth portion 33 is housed in the relief groove 21 in a completely folded state, the folded cloth portion is firmly gripped between the stepped portion 13 and the lower end of the claw member 10. It will be done.

Next, by reducing the air cylinder CY2, the reciprocating member 27 is gradually advanced toward the hanging piece 26, and at the same time, the claw member 10 is also advanced toward the stepped portion 13, and the claw member 30 is moved to the position shown in FIG. 5b. As shown, the folded cloth portion 33 that exists between the claw piece 30 and the stepped portion 13 over substantially the entire width of the floating surface 15 is
It is moved toward the stepped portion 13. In addition, the claw piece 30
The folded cloth portion 33 is on both sides of the floating surface 1
5, and since the floating surface 15 is finished as a smooth surface as described above, the transition of the folded cloth portion 33 is extremely smooth. Further, in this embodiment, in particular, the lower surface of the tip edge 16a of the floating portion 16 has a circular arc surface 20.
Since the folded cloth portion 33 is formed as
can move more smoothly without any movement being hindered by the floating portion 16, and furthermore, since the back surface of the lower end portion of the claw piece 30 is formed as a curved flank 32, the lower end portion 10a of the claw member 10 can be moved more smoothly. The cutting into the fabric 3a becomes even better, making the transfer more reliable. Note that the lower end 1 of the claw member 10
Since 0a has an arcuate shape, there is no risk of damage to the fabric 3a due to the lower end portion 10a biting into the fabric 3a.

In order to grasp the four corners of the fabric 3a, each fabric gripping/separating device 1, 1, 1, 1 configured in this way is at the uppermost position when the fixing member 23 is raised as shown in FIG. 5d. Only the fabric 3a will be separated. Therefore, each fabric gripping/separating device 1... is moved along the guide cases 6, 6 to a predetermined position on the sewing machine table 5, and the air cylinder CY1 is extended at that position, and the device 1... When the air cylinder CY2 is extended and the claw member 10 is retracted, the fabric 3a is separated from the fabric gripping device 1 and supplied to the sewing machine table 5. As described above, since the lower end 10a of the claw member 10 slightly protrudes from the pressing surface 12, it is possible to reliably grip every last piece of the laminated fabric 3.

In the fabric gripping/separating device 1 according to the present invention, the dimensions and shape of the lower end portion 10a of the claw member 10 are as follows:
The lower end 10a of the claw member 10 may be provided with an uneven portion to the extent that it does not damage the fabric, as long as it can bite into only one piece of fabric to be gripped. It can also be used as a gift. The claw pieces 30 must at least protrude downward from the floating surface 15, but the amount of protrusion depends on the thickness, softness, etc. of the fabric to be gripped. There is no problem as long as it bites into the fabric to the extent that it can be moved toward the stepped portion 13. Depending on the fabric to be gripped,
Cloth pressing members 9 having different widths and depths of the relief grooves 21, and claw members 10 matching the cloth pressing members 9.
should be prepared in advance and used as appropriate.
Also, the number of guide grooves 17 provided in the fabric pressing member 9 is as follows:
Depending on the type of fabric, it is set to one or an appropriate number of three or more.
