Abstract

PURPOSE:To preserve bulbs or the like obtained by tissue culture by packing the bulbs, etc., into a film of material having properties to permeate oxygen but not viruses or by coating with a solution of a material having the same properties and water solubility. CONSTITUTION:Bulbs of lily, narcissus, tulip, etc., or strains of orchid, etc., obtained by tissue culture in a sterile state are packed into a film of a material (e.g., hydrophilic polyolefin or polyvinyl alcohol of porous resin) to permeate oxygen but not viruses or put in a container made of the material, sealed and stored. Or the bulbs, etc., are sprayed with a solution of a material (e.g., cellulose acetate phthalate) to permeate oxygen but not viruses and to have water solubility, coated with the solution by a brush or immersed in the solution and coated to store the bulbs, etc. In the case of the latter, the bulbs can be directly planted as it is or can be subjected to water culture.

Bulbs obtained through natural cultivation are often placed in a plastic net after drying and stored in a shady, well-ventilated place, but those grown in tissue culture under sterile conditions are smaller in size, as mentioned above. If they are stored in the same way as before, they will become contaminated with viruses and lose their vitality, resulting in them not being able to bloom, or even if they do bloom, the flowers will be small.

If the plant is packed with film or sealed in a container, the film must be torn or peeled off during cultivation, or the bulbs etc. must be removed from the container and planted. However, if the material of the film or container is water-soluble, You can grow it hydroponically by planting it as it is or soaking it in water. If it is photodegradable, you can grow it hydroponically in a glass pot, or use light-transmitting non-woven fabric or Mitsui Petrochemical Industries Ltd. It can also be cultivated using the product name Clear Pearl (a water-swellable product of a water-swellable gel-like crosslinked polymer).

Embodiment In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, bulbs 2 are planted on one side of a thin porous film tape 1 made of polyethylene at equal intervals to the spacing, and in the same direction as the sprouts, using glue or the like. After adhering using adhesive tape 1, a tape 1 made of the same material was laminated and sealed. During cultivation, normally the tape on the front side is peeled off, and then the bulbs 2 are attached and planted together with the tape, but in some cases, the tape is removed separately or the bulbs 2 are taken out one by one and planted. You can also attach it. Furthermore, if the tape 1 is water-soluble or light-transparent, it is possible to plant the tape as it is without peeling it off, or to perform hydroponic cultivation by soaking it in water. When cultivating bulbs that can be cultivated in a sealed manner, a dressing or soil may be added in advance.

The method according to claim 1 is a method in which bulbs etc. cultured with &lla are banked with a film or placed in a container and sealed.Since bulbs etc. cultured &lva are small in size, they can be banked even with a thin film. Films and containers allow oxygen to pass through, but do not allow bacteria to pass through, allowing tissue cultured spheres to be stored for long periods of time in sterile conditions without causing necrosis, resulting in virus-free vitality. It has the effect of being able to obtain certain bulbs etc. at any time.
