Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a low cost lighting apparatus of a body color easily by forming a coverage of a body color membrane and permeating the permeating parts with laser beams after forming a body color membrane to cover the whole surface of the lens. CONSTITUTION:A body color lens 1 is formed of a lens 2 composed of a colorless, transparent resin material, and a body color membrane 3 composed by an adequate method such as a silk printing or a hot stamp, to cover the whole surface of the lens 2. Furthermore, very narrow width of slits 4 are provide don the membrane 3 to form permeating parts by radiating laser beams B. As a result, by making the ratio of the membrane 3 and the permeating parts of the slits 4 at a specific value, the lens is observed as the body color by the membrane 3 when the lamp is not lighted in the day time, for example. And in the lighting time, a body color lens 1 which can be observed as a lighting apparatus of the color of the light source by the light permeating through the slits 4 from the light source is obtained.

As a conventional lens of this kind, there is one shown in FIG. 3, for example, in which a large number of condensing lenses 22 are attached to a substrate 21 formed of an opaque material in a penetrating state, and the condensing lenses 22 extract light from a light source. Light is focused into a spot and radiated from the board 21 in the irradiation direction near this focusing point, and the flat part of the outer surface of the board 21 that is created in this way is painted or otherwise painted to give the car body color. A coating 23 is formed, and when the lamp is not lit, the outer surface of the lamp can be viewed as the vehicle body color due to the coating.

Next, the present invention will be explained in detail based on an embodiment shown in the drawings. What is indicated by the reference numeral 1 in FIG. 1 is a car body-colored lens according to the present invention. Alternatively, it is formed with a coating 3 in the color of the vehicle body formed by an appropriate method such as hot stamping, and the coating 3 is further provided with a very narrow slit 4 to serve as a transparent portion. FIG. 2 shows the state when the slit 4 is formed, and the coating 3 is formed on either the front or back surface of the lens 2, which is made of acrylic resin or the like, as described above. However, in detail, the coating 3 includes a coloring layer 3a that is the color of the car body, an undercoat layer 3b that is mostly white in order to stabilize the color of the coloring layer 3a, and each layer 3as described above.
The first step is to sequentially silk-print the coating 3 consisting of the coloring layer 3a, the N undercoat layer 3b, and the protective layer 3c on the lens 2. In this case, the slit 4 is not provided and the entire surface of the lens 2 is covered. Next, by irradiating the coating 3 with a laser beam B, the irradiated portion of the coating 3 evaporates, and the slit 4 is formed. According to the results of an experimental prototype made by the inventor to accomplish this invention, when the lens 2 is made of acrylic colorless and transparent resin, YAG (yttrium aluminum garnet) laser is used as the laser beam. Although the film 3 instantly evaporates and disappears when used, it was confirmed that the lens 2 was permeable and damage such as melting was extremely small. Therefore, by setting the ratio of the coating 3 to the transparent area formed by the slit 4 to a predetermined value, the coating 3 can be seen as the vehicle body color when the lights are off, such as during daytime, and the slits can be seen when the lights are on. The vehicle body-colored lens 1 that is viewed as a light source-colored lamp by the light from the light source that passes through the lens 4 is obtained. Note that when forming the slit 4, it is possible to further increase the processing efficiency by forming the slit 4 in a continuous stroke, such as a spiral or meandering line, because of the ease of scanning with the laser beam B. preferable.

As explained above, according to the present invention, the lens is made of a colorless and transparent member, and the method of forming the vehicle body-colored lens is such that after forming a vehicle body-colored film covering the entire surface of the lens, a transparent portion is formed using a laser beam. It is now possible to form car body-colored lenses using extremely easy methods such as screen printing and hot stamping, and instant irradiation with laser light, thereby eliminating factors such as the assembly process that lead to high costs, and realizing this type of car body-colored lighting fixture. This has the excellent effect of facilitating the design of automobiles, and also contributes to the diversification of automobile design.
