As shown in FIG. 1, this type of fuel strainer includes a cylindrical strainer body 1 and flange plates 2, 2 fixed to both ends of the strainer body 1, and a fuel tank 3. It is suspended via a steel pipe 5 such as an iron pipe so as to be buried in the fuel 4 inside.

However, in the above type of fuel strainer, if the lower end surface is suspended so as to be close to the bottom surface of the fuel tank 3, the bottom surface will come into contact with the lower end surface due to deformation of the fuel tank 3, deforming or damaging the strainer itself. Accidents may occur.

It is extremely unreasonable to have it loaded all the time.

This idea was made in view of the above points,
To provide a fuel strainer in which the strainer itself has a flexible structure so that it can be deformed in response to the breathing action of the fuel tank, and the fuel in the fuel tank can be suctioned without wasting any of the fuel. purpose.

In the present invention, at least the warp of the fabric of the material constituting the strainer is formed of a thread consisting of a plurality of filaments, and the tip is suspended inside the fuel tank so that it is always in contact with the inner bottom of the fuel tank. This system allows the remaining fuel to be sucked in without being affected by the breathing effect of the tank.

The strainer body 11 is suspended in the fuel tank 3 by the steel pipe 5 so that the lower end 11a of the strainer body 11 is in contact with the inner bottom 3a of the fuel tank 3.

The spacing between the warp and weft yarns is set to such a size that a film is formed on the surface due to the wetting phenomenon of the fuel.

Even if the inner bottom 3a moves up and down due to breathing action due to temperature changes, the strainer body also moves in accordance with the movement, so the strainer body will not be damaged, and the surface of the strainer body will not be wet with fuel. As a result of this phenomenon, a film is formed, which isolates the inside of the strainer from the outside air, thereby preventing so-called air entrapment.

As described above, according to the present invention, since the warp yarn is formed of a plurality of filaments, the capillary phenomenon acts effectively, and the fuel rises efficiently, and a film of fuel is formed on the surface due to the capillary phenomenon. Since the inside of the strainer is isolated from the outside air, so-called air trapping phenomenon does not occur, and the lower end of the strainer can be placed in contact with the inner bottom of the fuel tank, making it possible to drain the fuel in the fuel tank. The effect is that suction can be carried out to a state where the remaining amount is zero, and therefore the tank capacity can be set small.
