Abstract

PURPOSE:To deaden the noise from an air conditioner and save the space for mufflers installed in ducts by attaching a silencing box to an air conditioner in such a manner as to combine them in one body. CONSTITUTION:The main body 150 of an air conditioner has in its top panel an inlet 108 for drawing in return air from the rooms and an air supply opening 110 directly connected with the outlet of an air supply blower 101. A silencing box 151 which has openings at the positions facing respectively the inlet 108 for return air and the air supply opening 110 is mounted on the main body 150 of the air conditioner in the manner of combination. The noise from the air supply opening 110 of the main body 150 of the air conditioner is reduced by an air supply silencer 110 which consists of a bent sound-absorbing duct, and the noise from the inlet 108 for return air is reduced by a return air silencer 111 consisting of a sound-absorbing duct. Where differences exist in frequency and level in reducing the noise, depending on the condition of the use, modification in silencing characteristics can be provided at the manufacturer's plant so that accurate stabilized noise characteristics can be obtained. Since the silencers are incorporated with the air conditioner, a reduction in the space required for the air-conditioning system, including ducts 114, and accordingly in cost, can be achieved.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, this type of air conditioner has a water coil 11 that cools or heats the air passing through it with cold or hot water, and an air supply port 12 that directs the air that has passed through the water coil 11, as shown in FIG. It has an air supply fan 13 that supplies air into the room, a motor 13a that drives it, a return air port 14 that takes in return air from the room, and a filter 16 that removes dust from the air. It was built-in. On the other hand, from the air supply fan 13 indoors (as shown).

Problems to be Solved by the Invention In such a conventional configuration, there is no noise reduction elbow 17 for preventing noise from the air supply port 12 and the return air port 14 of the air conditioner.
It was necessary to install a plurality of silencers such as, etc., and therefore it was necessary to take up a large space in the duct. In addition, since the silencer is manufactured separately from the air conditioner and together with the duct work, it cannot necessarily be said that it matches the characteristics of each individual air conditioner, and in many cases it cannot demonstrate sufficient noise reduction performance. 0 The present invention is intended to solve these problems, and aims to provide an air conditioner that does not require an external silencing device and that incorporates a silencing device integrally.

Means for Solving the Problems In order to solve this problem, the present invention provides an air conditioner with an air supply port and a return air port that are aligned with the positions of the air supply port and the return air port on the upper part of the air conditioner main body, each of which is opened upward. The air conditioner is configured such that a sound deadening box having an opening at the bottom is integrally attached, and the inside of the sound deadening box is separated into a return air side sound deadening section and a supply air side sound deadening section.

In addition, the noise from the return air port is reduced by the return air side muffling section, and in both cases, the noise is reduced on the main body side of the air conditioner.

On the other hand, a return air port 108 for introducing return air from the room and an air supply port 110 directly connected to the discharge port of the air supply blower 101 are opened on the top surface of the air conditioner main body 160. Furthermore, a sound deadening box 151 having openings at the positions of the return air port 108 and the air supply port 11o is installed in the air conditioner main body 150.

With the above configuration, the air conditioner main body, 16o air supply port 11
The noise from 0 is attenuated by the curved sound absorbing duct part of the air supply side muffling part 112. Further, the noise from the return air port 108 is reduced by the sound absorbing duct section of the return air side muffling section 111. In this case, since the noise on the return air side can be expected to be reduced within the air conditioner main body 150, the return air side muffling section 111 has a relatively simple structure in the form of a straight pipe. Furthermore, if the frequency and level of sound reduction differ depending on the installation conditions, etc., the characteristics of the silencing section can be changed at the factory, resulting in highly accurate characteristics and stable noise characteristics. Furthermore, since the muffling section is integrated with the air conditioner, the equipment space including the duct 114 is smaller than in the past, and costs can be reduced.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the description of the embodiments above, according to the present invention, by integrally attaching a sound deadening box to the air conditioner, the noise generated by the air conditioner can be suppressed on the main body side. This makes it possible to omit the space required to install a silencer in the middle of the duct, reducing construction costs, and since it is manufactured in a factory as an integrated air conditioner, accurate and stable noise characteristics can be achieved. This provides the effect of being able to respond reliably to strict noise regulations.
