【考案の詳細な説明】 本考案は内燃機関用ピストンリングに関するも
のであり、特に高鉛燃料対策のピストンリングに
関するものである。

今日、公害問題から燃料の多くで無鉛化が進ん
でいるが、高鉛燃料も諸外国を中心にまだ多く使
用されている。高鉛燃料使用の内燃機関において
はHC等の腐蝕雰囲気が強く、その為、通常の
クロムメツキピストンリングの摩耗が著しい。

の効果はコスト、生産性に比較して十分なもので
はない。これに対してリング摺動面に軟窒化処理
を施したリングもあるが、これは腐蝕雰囲気に強
い為、摩耗は少ないが、耐スカツフイング性低下
を招く場合がある。

グであり、リング全表面に軟窒化処理層3を深
さ10μ〜70μ施した後リング外周面4にTiNも
しくはCrNのイオンプレーテイング層2を厚さ
10μ以下施したものである。

較的強く、また摩耗も少ないものであるが、たと
え摩耗が進んでもリング摺動面になじみがつくの
で、スカツフイング防止効果がついた後に腐蝕に
強い軟窒化層があらわれることになる。

HC等の腐蝕雰囲気による異常摩耗及びスカツ
フイングを防止し、かつリング上下面におけるピ
ストン溝との間のリングのたたかれ摩耗を防止し
うる対高鉛燃料用ピストンリングを提供する事が
できる。
