BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Split-type seats in which the seat pad is divided into both side pads and a main pad are often used in automobile seats, particularly rear seats. FIG. 1 shows an overall perspective view of such a split type sheet. A and C are the side parts, and B is the main part. The side parts A and C are generally of an integral type, in which a cushion part and a back part are integrated.

To assemble such a seat to a vehicle body, a screw fastening structure is generally used in which the side portions and the main portion are each attached to the vehicle body panel using screws. FIG. 2 is an explanatory perspective view showing such a conventional installation procedure. 1 is a side pad, 2a is a main part cushion pad, and 2b is a main part back pad, and each pad has a mounting tool such as a U-shaped hook 3 fixed to the frame (not shown), which is attached to a vehicle body panel 4. Align with hole 5,
The screw 6 is screwed in and tightened for installation. As described above, each of the side pads and the main pad must be secured with screws at a large number of locations, which requires a large number of man-hours for assembly, which is one of the causes of rising costs.

In view of the above-mentioned circumstances, the present invention was developed with the intention of minimizing the number of screws required for fixing such split-type sheets. That is, the present invention provides a vehicle seat in which the seat pad is divided into both side pads and a main pad as described above, in which at least one of both side pads and the main pad is attached to the vehicle body in a generally U-shaped manner that is fixed to the vehicle body panel. It is characterized in that it is constructed by inserting a hook fixed to the frame of the at least one pad into the cross-sectional striker in a substantially horizontal direction.

FIG. 3 is an explanatory perspective view showing one embodiment of the present invention, showing the case where it is applied to a side pad.
A required number of horizontal U-shaped hooks 7 are fixed to the back side of the frame (not shown) of the side pad 1. On the other hand, the side pad 1 is attached to the vehicle body panel 4.
A plurality of strikers 8 each having a substantially U-shaped cross section are fixed at positions corresponding to the positions of the hooks 7 in a direction in which the hooks 7 can be fitted thereinto. FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing a combination of the hook 7 and striker 8.

As described above, the side pad 1 having the hooks 7 is moved horizontally along the vehicle body panel 4, and all the hooks 7 (three in the figure) are inserted into the corresponding strikers 8 at the same time. In this way, it is possible to complete the installation of the side pad 1 in a very short time without having to repeat the complicated screw tightening work.

FIG. 5 is a perspective view showing another embodiment of the present invention, in which the side pad 1 uses the conventional screw fastening method, and the main pad 2 uses the striker hook insertion method of the present invention. This is what is shown. This case is even more advantageous than the previous example because the number of screwed locations can be reduced.

Note that the application of the present invention is not limited to the above two examples; for example, the insertion method of the present invention may be applied to one of the side pads and the main pad, and only the other side pad may be fastened with screws, or both may be used. It is also possible to use the insertion method of the present invention for the side pads and to fix the main pads with screws. However, since the insertion method of the present invention involves moving the seat pad laterally to insert it, it is usually difficult to use the insertion method for all the pads due to the structure of the vehicle body.

As explained above, the seat assembly structure of the present invention is configured so that the seat pad is assembled to the vehicle body using the horizontal insertion method, so the number of man-hours for screwing is reduced, and the seat can be assembled in a short time. This is an extremely advantageous device that can contribute to cost reduction by reducing the number of assembly steps. still,
It looks better because there are fewer screws.
