Abstract

PURPOSE:To temporarily store a stock and to improve the operating ratio by installing an emergency looper between a thin sheet continuous casting machine and a rolling mill not to stop casting at the time of emergency stop of succeeding devices to the casting machine in a thin sheet continuous casting facility. CONSTITUTION:An emergency looper 6 consists of fixed rollers 6-1, 6-3, moving rollers 6-2, a moving device 6-4, and a motor 6-5. The moving rollers 6-2 transfer a stock from a continuous casting machine 1 to a preparatory device 2. If any stopping cause is generated, a flying shear 3 and the emergency looper 6 are actuated and a continuous rolling mill 4 and the fixed roller 6-3 stop together after the stock passes through. Then, the motor 6-5 is actuated, the moving rollers 6-2 move upward by action of the moving device 6-4, and operation of the mill 4 and succeeding devices restart. The rollers 6-2 gradually move down to deliver a stock 7 stored in the looper 6 and operation of the looper 6 stops at the time of the rollers 6-2 return to the initial position. い。本発明の目的は連続圧延機4以降が短時間停止して
も連続鋳造機1を止める事なく圧延をすぐ再開できるよ
うにすることにある。

本発明の実施例を第2図により説明する。6は本発明に
よる非常ルーパであり連続鋳造機1と前処理設備2の中
間に設立される。図示せるように、非常ルーパ6は入口
固定ローラ6−1.出口固定ローラ6−3.移動ローラ
6−2.移動装@6−4、電動機6−5から成っている
。通常移動ローラ6−2は図の実線の位置、すなわちホ
ームポジションに居て材料を連続鋳造機1から前処理設
置2へ橋渡しする役目を持っている。ところが何等かの
停止要因が発生したとすると先ず起動指令9が与えられ
走間シャ3と非常ルーパ6が作動すると同時に材料通過
後連続圧延機4は停止する。出口固定ローラ6−3も停
止する。起動指令9が与えられると電動機6−5が起動
し移動装置6−4の作用により移動ローラ6−2は上方
に移動開始する。連続鋳造機1からは材料7が連続的に
送り込まれる限り移動ローラ6−2は上昇を続は第2図
中点線の様になる。一方材料7に規定以上の張力が作用
せぬよう電動機6−5のトルクは制御される。準備が完
了し固定ローラ6−3を含め連続圧延機4以降が再起動
する。非常ルーパ6に貯えられている材料7をハキ出す
為固定ローラ6−3を含む連続圧延機以降は元の速度よ
り20〜30%高い速度で運転し、移動ロール6−2が
徐々に下降しホームポジションに戻る迄継続する。ホー
ムポジションに戻った時点で非常ルーパ6は作動を止め
る。また非常ルーパには圧延機7の温度を均一に保ち冶
金学的に均一な結晶構造を確保する為均熱炉的な作用を
もたせ、バーナ6−6を設ける場合もある。特に連続圧
延機4が停止し、非常ルーパが材料を貯えている場合は
材料が冷えぬ様バーナ6−6で均熱しておく事が必要で
ある。

本発明によれば連続圧延機の短時間停止の場合、連続鋳
造機1を止める事なく材料を一時的に貯蔵し連続圧延機
再起動により放出する為、稼動率の向上、歩留り向上に
なる。例えば下記の様に試算できる。

稼動率の低下は著しかったが本発明による非常ルーパを
設ければそのリスクをかなり軽減する事ができる。すな
わち圧延機の停止時間が比較的長くかかりそうな時は、
非常ルーパを使うと共に鋳造速度を−に落とすと共に走
間シャでスクラップ切断する等、三つの方法を併用すれ
ば30分程度の圧延停止でも鋳造をストップしないで、
且つスクラップを最少限にする事により稼動率の低下と
歩留の低下を防止する等の対策をとる事も可能となる。
