Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce losses in pressure, noise, and vibration caused by eddies by providing an arc-shaped guide plate at the bottom of a duct and a square tapering hopper-shaped outlet for the fan so as to guide a current of air to change its direction smoothly and spread the air discharged from the fan. CONSTITUTION:A guide plate 8 in the shape of an arc is attached to the bottom of a duct 2. A square tapering outlet 7 in the shape of a hopper connects the discharge opening of a fan 3 with the underside of a filter 5. The air circulated from rooms is orientated toward the fan 3 by the guide plate 8 provided in the duct 2 and led through an opening 4 to the fan 3. The current discharged from the fan 3 is decelerated smoothly with eddies reduced as it passes through the hopper-shaped outlet 7 to the filter 5. As a result, the losses in pressure, noise, and vibration, all caused by eddies, are reduced and the motive power required to drive the fan is also reduced. The hopper-shaped outlet 7 and the casing 1 jointly serve to shut off the noise from the fan 3, so that the noise coming out of the casing 1 is reduced.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention In such a conventional configuration, the duct 1o2 has a rectangular parallelepiped shape, and the bottom surface is perpendicular to the air flow, resulting in a large pressure loss when the wind direction changes. The rapid expansion of the discharge flow causes a large pressure loss due to the generation of vortices, which increases the power of the fan, and there are also problems in that noise and vibration increase due to the generation of vortices.

As shown in the figure, a rectangular parallelepiped-shaped return air duct 2 is formed on one side of a vertical casing 1, and a fan 3 is arranged on the lower side of the duct 2, so that air flows into the fan 3 between them. The main part of the air conditioner is constructed by disposing a filter 5 for cleaning the air above the outlet of the fan 3, and a water coil 6 for heating and cooling the air above the filter 5 and above the casing 1. ing. An arcuate guide plate 8 is attached to the bottom of the duct 2. Also, the fan 3

With the above configuration, the return air from the room is given an inflow direction to the fan 3 by the guide plate 8 provided in the duct 2, and is guided to the fan 3 through the opening 4. In addition, the discharge air speed of the fan 3 is smoothly slowed down by the hopper 7, reducing vortex flow and being guided to the filter 5, reducing pressure loss, noise and vibration due to the vortex flow, and reducing fan power. . Furthermore, the discharge noise of the fan 3 is double-insulated by the hopper 7 and the casing 1,
There is also the effect that noise to the outside of the casing 1 is reduced.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the description of the embodiments above, according to the present invention, the discharge flow is improved by attaching an arc-shaped guide plate to the lower part of the duct and a quadrangular pyramid-shaped hopper part to the discharge of the fan. As the flow is diffused and the direction of the air is changed smoothly, the pressure loss, noise and vibration due to vortex flow are reduced compared to conventional methods, and the fan power can be reduced.Furthermore, the hopper section and casing reduce fan discharge noise. It has the effect of reducing noise due to double sound insulation.
