Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce fumes from the combustion, enable the gunpowder to produce an agreeable flame-color, and make the metal powder in the gunpowder produce beautiful sparks by overlaying the powder preparation on a stick with a film formed from a mixture of a wafer-base paint and an oxidizing agent. CONSTITUTION:The powder preparation 12 provided on a stick 11 in a piece of toy fireworks is overlaid, preferably all over the surface, with a film 13 formed from a mixture of a water-base paint and an oxidizing agent. By igniting the forward tip in kindling this piece of fireworks the fact that the film 13 is a mixture of a water-base paint and an oxidizing agent enables it to burn up completely together with the gunpowder preparation 12. Therefore, the fumes rising from the combustion are reduced while the combustion leaves no ashes, and moreover, th powder burns with an agreeable flame-color and the metal powder in the gunpowder produces beautiful sparks.

(A> Because the water-based paint film does not burn completely when ignited,
It leaves behind a lot of smoke, which affects the color of the gunpowder's flame, and the metal powder (iron powder, metal alloy, magnesium, aluminum, etc.) in the gunpowder makes the fire look less beautiful.

(C) Air bubbles tend to get mixed into the water-based paint during stirring in water-based method 131. When air bubbles are mixed into the water-based paint in this way, small holes are formed on the surface of the water-based paint film.

Therefore, it is desirable to form a film 153 by adding a combustible agent such as sulfur to the water-based paint and an oxidizing agent and mixing the pigment in the water-based paint, thereby improving the ignition value (1) of the film 13. In this case, the ratio of the water-based paint, oxidizing agent, and combustible agent is, for example, 1:1:1 (weight ratio).

*Operation: When using the toy fireworks of this invention, it is sufficient to ignite the tip of the fireworks. However, since the film 13 is a mixture of a water-based paint and an oxidizing agent, or a mixture of a water-based paint, an oxidizing agent, and a combustible agent, it burns almost completely together with the gunpowder in the paint portion 12.
