Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the title method to make a small curvature by improving bend processing properties, by a method wherein bending and adhesion processing of a decorative sheet to a core material is performed by heating and pressurizing a coating surface by coating the surface of the decorative sheet with a composite of an aqueous solution of POVAL and fiber cloth. CONSTITUTION:A surface layer obtained by impregnating a thrust plate obtained by slicing thin a precious wood with melamine resin, and a backside layer obtained by impregnating kraft paper with phenolic resin are used as a decorative sheet 1 by laminating them to each other. An aqueous solution 2 of POVAL is used by controlling viscosity by adding a surface-active agent such as a softening agent or an anti- foaming agent or a mold release agent to an article of a low-degree of polymerization comprised of a complete or partial saponified matter. A glass fiber is used for fiber cloth 3. Then the fiber cloth 3 is covered, for example, the surface of the decorative sheet 1, to which the aqueous solution 2 of the POVAL is applied through dropping and coated as a composite by drying the same. Then a coated surface is heated with a heating device 6 and bending and adhesion processing of the decorative sheet 1 to a core material 4 is performed by a pressing machine 7 through the coating cloth 3. A bent and processed product comprised of the surface of the decorative sheet is obtained by removing the cloth 3 and POVAL 2 after that.

<Prior art and problems> Thermosetting resin decorative boards such as melamine decorative boards are used in many fields as decorative surface materials, but there are highly processed products that can be bent, such as counters, handrails, sinks, etc. It is used as a decorative surface material for bathroom vanities, etc. In the conventional bending method for decorative boards, the surface of the bent part is heated to a heat deformation temperature (150 to 200°C), which may cause scratches on the surface due to the bending machine, or may cause long-term heating. In this case, the surface appearance, which is the life of the decorative board, was damaged due to burning, discoloration, or swelling. Therefore, a protective coating or film was applied to the surface of the decorative board and a heat-pressure curved surface was processed.

On the other hand, the surface protective coating or film is required to have appropriate adhesion and be easy to peel off after use, which are seemingly contradictory properties. Conventional surface protective film coatings include acetic acid-vinyl chloride copolymer solution, polyurethane resin solution, and other types in which low polymerization degree resins are dissolved in organic solvents, polyvinyl alcohol (popal) aqueous solution, etc., which are applied and dried to form a film. In order to form a film, films made of these resins were pasted together with an adhesive. However, coatings or films formed by coating thermoplastic resins such as vinyl acetate and vinyl chloride have poor heat resistance, and melt or soften when heated to the heat distortion temperature required to curve melamine decorative boards. could not. In addition, films made of nylon or the like, which have good heat resistance, have poor adhesion and must be bonded together using an acrylic or rubber adhesive, and are not put into practical use due to the poor heat resistance of the adhesive. In this regard, Poval has a melting point of 230° C. and has good heat resistance and can be applied as an aqueous solution, so it is used as a surface protective coating for melamine decorative boards that are bonded at room temperature. However, since the POVAL aqueous solution is applied in a state of low resin content and high viscosity, it tends to form a thin film containing bubbles, which can cause breakage during bending, as well as damage to the bending of decorative boards during heat bending. It was not effective in preventing cracking due to strain, and the film after cooling lacked flexibility and would break during peeling, making peeling work difficult.

As the decorative board (1) used in the present invention, a thermosetting resin decorative board with a thickness of 0.2 to 2.0 mm, such as a melamine decorative board, diallyl phthalate decorative board, or polyester decorative board, is applicable. Among these, a surface layer made of thinly sliced veneer of precious wood impregnated with melamine resin and a back layer made of kraft paper impregnated with phenol resin are laminated and bonded together by heat and pressure to a thickness of 0.2 to 2. This effect is noticeable in melamine decorative veneer boards at stage 0. Poval aqueous solution (2
) is a 2 to 30% aqueous solution of a commercially available completely saponified or partially saponified product with a relatively low degree of polymerization, and if necessary, a surfactant such as a softener, an antifoaming agent, and a mold release agent. A modifying resin is added to adjust the viscosity to a level that allows coating with a roll coater, 70-coater, or the like.

As the fiber cloth (3) serving as the covering material, heat-resistant fibers made of natural or synthetic fibers, non-woven fabrics or woven fabrics with a thickness of 0.05 to 1.0 fi can be used, and among these, glass fiber A mesh-like cloth with a thickness of 0.2 to 0.5 is optimal in terms of conformability to the coated surface, thermal conductivity during bending, heat resistance, peelability, etc. Core material (
4) refers to a core material that is assembled with base materials such as wood, plywood, particle board, etc. to form a counter or sink deck that has a convex or concave surface. Furthermore, a rubber-based or synthetic resin-based adhesive (5) is applied to the back surface of the decorative board and the contact surface of the core material. Next, I will explain the process in order.
Either apply an aqueous solution of Poval (2) to the surface of the decorative board (1), adhere the fiber cloth (3) and dry it to cover it as a composite material, or cover the surface of the decorative board (1) with the fiber cloth (3). Then, an aqueous solution of Poval (2) is applied dropwise and dried to coat the composite material. Next, the coated surface is heated to 100 to 200°C using a heating device (6) such as a sheathed heater, and the decorative board (1) is applied to the core material ( 4) Bending and gluing. Then cross (3)
By peeling off and removing the poval (2), a bent product consisting of the original decorative board surface can be obtained.

<Operations and Effects of the Invention> In the present invention, poval, which has excellent heat resistance, is bent on the surface of the decorative board to be heat-pressed in a state in which it contains moisture and in a state in which it is composited with fiber cloth. It does not produce scratches due to bending machines, and is unlikely to burn, discolor, or swell even when heated for a long time.

Therefore, the heating temperature can be made higher, and the plasticization of the decorative board due to heat and the uniformity of distortion during bending of the decorative board itself progresses, improving bending workability and reducing the curvature. Can be done. In particular, for decorative boards such as veneer melamine decorative boards, which have a surface layer made of melamine resin, which has a strength difference depending on the fiber direction due to the wood grain and is difficult to bend, the method of the present invention is significantly more effective than conventional methods. Is recognized.

Example 1 A poval aqueous solution with a solid content of 12% was applied at a rate of about 100 f/F/ to the bent part of a 0.6 rm thick veneer decorative melamine board using a flow coater to form a mesh with a thickness of 0.3 m. A piece of glass cloth was placed on the board, dried with hot air, and the surface of the decorative board was covered with a composite material. Next, a rubber adhesive is applied to the adhesive surface of the core material made of 1B cod plywood, which has been processed into a convex shape of 9H on the back side and end of the decorative board, respectively. After drying, the coated surface is brought into contact with was heated to about 175°C and pressed with a hand roller to bend and bond the decorative board to the curved core material. After cooling to room temperature, the covering composite material was peeled off and the remaining poval adhering to the surface was wiped off with warm water to confirm that the decorative board surface at the bent portion had a good finish.
