Description
[0001]本願は、2019年12月16日に出願された米国仮出願第62/948,376号の利益を主張する。上記出願の開示全体は、参照することにより本明細書に組み込まれる。
[0004]デンプンは、グリコシド結合によって結合した多数のグルコース単位からなる炭水化物である。デンプンは、低コスト、豊富な供給量、および環境に優しいといった多くの利点を有する。デンプンは、食品、製紙、ファインケミカル、および梱包材産業における使用で広く公知である。また、デンプンは再生可能な材料であり、そのため、石油系材料への依存度を低下させることができる。
[0055]本開示のゴム組成物を、実験室サイズのゴムミキサーにおいて、従来の2パスゴム混合技法に従い、試験のために調製した。ゴム組成物は、ゴム組成物の物理化学的特性に対する加工デンプン生成物の一般的影響を評価するために選択した。加工デンプンを含む実験用ゴム組成物の処方を、元のデンプンを含む比較対象と共に、以下の表1に示す。
[0057]図5~6を参照すると、表1の元のデンプンのゴム配合物および表1の加工デンプンのゴム配合物の引張特性の試験を行い、比較したものである。加工デンプンのゴム配合物は、元のデンプンのゴム配合物と比較して、引張特性の向上を示す。したがって、加工デンプンのゴム配合物は、コンパウンドにおける補強フィラーとして機能すると結論付けられる。
Claims (16)
- ゴム配合物のための、複数の粒子を含む、加工デンプン生成物であって、前記の各粒子がデンプンコアと中間ポリマー被膜とナノシリカを含む外側被膜とを含み、前記中間ポリマー被膜が、前記デンプンコアのヒドロキシル基および前記外側被膜の前記ナノシリカと同時に相互作用することを可能にできる電荷密度を有するように選択されている、上記加工デンプン生成物。
- 前記加工デンプンが原料元のデンプンとシリカを混和させることにより製造される、請求項1に記載の加工デンプン生成物。
- 前記ナノシリカがテトラエチルオルトシリケートを含む、請求項2に記載の加工デンプン生成物。
- 前記中間ポリマー被膜がポリ(ジアリルジメチルアンモニウムクロリド)を含む、請求項1に記載の加工デンプン生成物。
- 前記デンプンコアが、コメデンプン、コーンデンプン、ジャガイモデンプン、コムギデンプン、およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択されるものを含む、請求項1に記載の加工デンプン生成物。
- ゴム配合物のための、加工デンプン生成物を製造する方法であって、
シリケートと水を混和させてナノシリカ含有溶液を形成すること;
元のデンプンとポリマーを混和させて粒子を形成すること、ここで各粒子はデンプンコアと中間ポリマー被膜とを有する;および
前記ナノシリカ含有溶液と前記粒子を混和させて、加工デンプン生成物粒子の懸濁液を形成すること、
を含み、
ここで各加工デンプン生成物粒子はデンプンコアと、中間ポリマー被膜と、ナノシリカを含む外側被膜とを含み、そして前記中間ポリマー被膜が、前記デンプンコアのヒドロキシル基および前記外側被膜の前記ナノシリカと同時に相互作用することを可能にできる電荷密度を有するように選択される、
方法。 - 前記加工デンプン生成物粒子の懸濁液を脱水すること;および
前記加工デンプン生成物粒子を乾燥させて前記加工デンプン生成物を形成すること
を更に含む、請求項6に記載の方法。 - 前記シリケートがテトラエチルオルトシリケートである、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記シリケートをイソプロピルアルコール、水酸化アンモニウム、および脱イオン水と更に混和させて前記ナノシリカ含有溶液を形成する、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマーがポリ(ジアリルジメチルアンモニウムクロリド)である、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 一定量のエラストマー;および
一定量の加工デンプン粒子、各加工デンプン粒子はデンプンコアと、中間ポリマー被膜と、ナノシリカを含む外側被膜とを含む
を含むゴム配合物であって、
前記粒子が前記エラストマー全体に実質的に均一に分散されている、
上記ゴム配合物。 - シランを更に含む、請求項11に記載のゴム配合物。
- 前記シランがポリスルフィド型シランカップリング剤を含む、請求項12に記載のゴム配合物。
- 前記シランがビス-3トリエトキシシリルプロピルテトラスルフィドを含む、請求項12に記載のゴム配合物。
- 請求項11に記載のゴム配合物を含む、物品。
- 請求項11に記載のゴム配合物を含むタイヤサイドウォールを含む、タイヤ。
