Description

The present invention relates to a spoiler for an automobile vehicle.

For example, spoilers that extend in the width direction of the vehicle may be attached to the roof end or the upper part of the rear window of a wagon type or one-box type vehicle. These spoilers are formed into a hollow shape using synthetic resin material. For this reason, they were sometimes made by blow molding, but recently, there are many cases where functions such as built-in antennas and windshield wiper storage are added, so two-piece spoilers that are integrated with injection-molded upper and lower parts are becoming more common. In addition to vibration welding as described in Patent No. 5246692, etc., the upper and lower parts are integrated with each other by bonding them together using adhesive. Spoilers that use adhesive are integrated by applying adhesive to the flat surfaces of the outer periphery of the upper and lower parts, and then bonding the two together. However, this manufacturing method using adhesive requires a flat surface to apply the adhesive, and it is necessary to secure a large bonding area to increase the adhesive strength. Depending on the design shape, it may be difficult to ensure a flat surface. For this reason, several improvements to cases that use adhesives have been proposed (for example, Patent Document 1).

Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 8-150963

Patent Document 1 discloses in claim 3 an invention for a hollow molded product in which "at least one of the surfaces of the protruding portion for forming an adhesive space formed on one member and the surface of the groove-shaped portion for forming an adhesive space formed on the other member is formed into a wrinkled surface in part or in whole." Paragraph 0015 states, "...the above-mentioned configuration increases the adhesive area between the protruding portion for forming an adhesive space and the groove-shaped portion for forming an adhesive space, thereby improving the adhesive strength."

However, there is a limit to the improvement in adhesive strength by forming the wrinkled surface as described in Patent Document 1, and there are cases where the bonding strength cannot be ensured by the expansion of the wrinkled surface alone. Currently, in order to ensure the required strength, mechanical fastening (screw fastening) is often combined. For example, as shown in Figures 10 and 11, adhesive 4 is applied to the outer periphery 811 of the upper member inner surface 8b. Next, the outer periphery 811 of the upper member 8 and the outer periphery 911 of the lower member 9 are bonded together with adhesive 4 so that the plate portion 92 provided on the lower member main part 91 faces the receiving piece portion 82 provided on the upper member main body 81. The receiving piece portion 82 and the plate portion 92 are then fastened together with screws V, but the addition of mechanical fastening increases the risk of increased costs and distortion of the design.

The present invention aims to solve the above problems by providing a vehicle spoiler that makes it possible to ensure a new flat surface for adhesive even when it is difficult to ensure a flat surface for adhesive due to the spoiler's design shape, and that does not simply increase the adhesive surface but also takes advantage of the characteristics of the adhesive to significantly increase the bonding strength using adhesive alone. In some cases, it is possible to do this without mechanical fastening, eliminating distortion caused by mechanical fastening and leading to lower costs.

In order to achieve the above object, the gist of the first invention is a synthetic resin vehicle spoiler in which an upper member and a lower member are integrated by bonding the outer peripheries of both members together with an adhesive, the vehicle spoiler comprising: a standing plate piece formed upright on the inner surface of the main body of the upper member; a slit provided in a main portion of the lower member corresponding to the standing plate piece so that the standing plate piece protrudes toward the outer surface of the lower member as a result of the integration; a plate-shaped body formed upright on the outer surface of the main portion of the lower member along a longitudinal hole edge related to the slit, which becomes adjacent to and faces the plate surface of the standing plate piece as a result of the integration; and a solidified portion of the adhesive which fills the gap between the opposing plate surfaces of the plate-shaped body and the standing plate piece and bonds the two together. A vehicle spoiler according to a second invention is the first invention , characterized in that the upright plate piece is an injection molded portion extending from the injection molded main body of the upper member, and the plate-shaped body is an injection molded portion extending from the injection molded main portion of the lower member. A vehicle spoiler according to a third invention is the first or second invention , characterized in that the plate-shaped body is formed on the lower member along both hole edges in the longitudinal direction related to the slit. A vehicle spoiler according to a fourth invention is the first to third inventions , characterized in that an opening penetrating the plate thickness is provided in the main portion around the base end of the plate-shaped body on the opposite side to the hole edge side, and the outer side opening is larger than the inner side opening. The vehicle spoiler according to the fifth invention is characterized in that, in the first to fourth inventions , the solidified portion of the adhesive filling the gap between the opposing plate surfaces of the plate-piece-like body and the standing plate piece is continuously provided beyond the tips of the opposing plate surfaces onto the top surface of the plate-piece-like body and onto the top surface of the standing plate piece. The vehicle spoiler according to the sixth invention is characterized in that, in the first to fifth inventions , the standing plate piece has a plate width that is narrower at its top portion as it approaches the top surface. The vehicle spoiler according to the seventh invention is characterized in that, in the first to sixth inventions , the plate thickness at the top of the standing plate piece is gradually narrowed toward the top surface.

The vehicle spoiler of the present invention provides standing plate pieces and plate-like bodies that can be raised and bonded to the main body and main part of the upper member and the main part of the lower member, even if the bonding surfaces cannot be sufficiently flat on the main body of the upper member and the main part of the lower member, thereby increasing the bonding area and increasing the bonding strength. Not only does it increase the bonding area, but when a disadvantage of an adhesive that is weak against peeling forces appears, such as the main body of the upper member peeling off from the main part of the lower member, the advantages of an adhesive that is strong against shear forces come into play at the bonding surfaces of the standing plate pieces and plate-like bodies. The extremely strong shear force properties of the adhesive work effectively at the bonding surfaces of the standing plate pieces and plate-like bodies to prevent this, which is extremely effective in maintaining the integration of the upper member and the lower member.

The vehicle spoiler (hereinafter, simply referred to as "spoiler") according to the present invention will be described in detail below. Figures 1 to 11 show one embodiment of the spoiler of the present invention, with Figure 1 being a perspective view of the lower member, Figure 2 being a perspective view of the upper member, Figure 3 being a perspective view of the lower member and the upper member superimposed, Figure 4 being a partial enlargement of Figure 3, Figure 5 being an explanatory cross-sectional view of a spoiler in which a solidified portion of adhesive is formed in the gap between the plate-shaped body and the standing plate, Figure 6 being a partial enlargement of Figure 5, Figures 7 and 8 being cross-sectional views of each process of manufacturing the spoiler around the plate-shaped body and the standing plate in Figure 5, and Figure 9 being a view of another embodiment in place of Figure 6. Note that each figure is simplified and the essential parts of the invention are emphasized for ease of understanding.

(1) Vehicle spoiler The vehicle spoiler comprises a synthetic resin upper member 2 having an upright plate piece 22, and a synthetic resin lower member 3 having a slit 30 and a plate piece-like body 32, and is integrated by bonding the outer peripheral portions 211, 311 of both members together with adhesive 4. In an automobile 7 as shown in FIG. 5, this wing-shaped spoiler 1 extending in the vehicle width direction perpendicular to the paper surface is attached to the back door near the wagon-type roof end 71. Reference numerals 215, 315 indicate the outer peripheral edges of the upper member 2 and lower member 3 on the vehicle front side.

The upper member 2 is a flat injection molded product that forms the upper half of the spoiler 1 that is long in the vehicle width direction (Figure 2). Both sides of the main body 21 that extends long in the vehicle width direction are bent downward to form a guard section. When the upper member 2 is installed on the vehicle as shown in Figure 5, it comprises a main body 21 that forms a substantially flat surface 21a, the upper surface of which becomes the design surface, and a standing plate piece 22 formed upright on the inner surface 21b of the main body 21.

The standing plate piece 22 is a rib-like protruding piece erected on the upper member main body 21 so as to pass through the slit 30 of the lower member 3 when the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 are overlapped and protrude to the underside of the lower member 3, i.e., the outer surface 31a side, when the lower member 3 is installed on the vehicle (Figure 6). The standing plate piece 22 in this embodiment is an injection molded part formed by extending from the injection molded main body 21 of the upper member 2. A pair of standing plate pieces 22 is provided on the main body inner surface 21b near both sides in the vehicle width direction of the upper member 2 in a location where installation space can be secured toward the front of the vehicle. Here, the receiving piece portion 82, plate portion 92, and screw V for mechanical fastening shown in Figure 11 of the conventional technology are eliminated, and the standing plate piece 22 is provided in the empty space. The rectangular standing plate piece 22 as shown in Figure 2 stands approximately perpendicular to the main body inner surface 21b around its base end. In the upper member body 21 excluding the guard portion, the standing plate pieces 22 are set to stand upright substantially perpendicularly to the band-shaped main surface of the outer peripheral portion 211 to which the adhesive 4 is applied. The width direction of the plate piece width W of the standing plate pieces 22 is aligned with the vehicle width direction, but is not limited to this and may be in the vehicle front-rear direction, etc. At the top 221 of the standing plate pieces 22, the plate piece width W becomes smaller as it approaches the top surface 22f, making it easier to insert the standing plate pieces 22 into the slit 30. It is preferable to provide as many standing plate pieces 22 as possible, provided that the space can be secured. It is preferable that the standing plate pieces 22 have a large plate surface 22d, because the adhesive 4 is applied to the plate surface 22d to strongly bond and integrate with the plate piece-like body 32 of the lower member 3 described below.

The lower member 3 is the lower half of the two-piece spoiler 1 that is integrated with the upper member 2, and is an injection-molded product that is long in the vehicle width direction as shown in FIG. 1. The lower member 3 has a cross-sectional shape as shown in FIG. 5, which is covered by the outer peripheral edges 215, 216 of the upper member 2, which are slightly larger than the outer peripheral edges 315, 316 of the lower member 3. A recessed storage wall portion 312 is formed in the main portion 31, which is the main part of the lower member 3. When the lower member 3 and the upper member 2 are integrated by bonding with adhesive 4, the upper member 2 covers the opening side of the storage wall portion 312, forming a hollow portion S for storing an antenna, etc. In this lower member 3, a slit 30 and a plate-shaped body 32 are provided in the main portion 31 that forms the spoiler lower body.

The slit 30 is a long and narrow hole formed in the lower member main part 31 corresponding to the standing plate piece 22 so that the standing plate piece 22 protrudes toward the outer surface side of the lower member 3, specifically the outer surface 31a side of the main part 31, as the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 are bonded together. The slit 30 is sized to match the maximum cross-sectional shape of the standing plate piece 22 so that the base of the standing plate piece 22 fits into it. The standing plate piece 22 is inserted into the slit 30, and the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 are overlapped and integrated via the adhesive 4. The slit 30 is a vertically elongated rectangular hole 30 as shown in FIG. 1 that matches the cross-sectional shape of the standing plate piece 22 so that the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 can be integrated by overlapping each other via the adhesive 4. The slit 30 is provided near both sides in the vehicle width direction of the lower member main part 31 that faces the standing plate piece 22 standing on the main body inner surface 21b. The lower member 3 is provided with a plate-shaped body 32 along the slit 30.

The plate-piece-like body 32 is provided along the longitudinal hole edge 301 of the slit 30, and is a protruding piece formed like a rib on the outer surface 31a of the main part of the lower member 3 (FIG. 1). "Providing the plate-piece-like body 32 along the longitudinal hole edge 301 of the slit 30" means that the base end 321 of the plate-piece-like body 32 coincides with the longitudinal hole edge 301 of the slit 30 as shown in FIG. 7, but also includes being provided at a position slightly away from the longitudinal hole edge 301 as shown in FIGS. 1 and 4. The plate-piece-like body 32 is an injection-molded part formed to extend from the injection-molded main part 31 of the lower member 3. When the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 are bonded together, the plate surface 22d of the standing plate piece 22 protruding toward the outer surface 31a of the lower member 3 faces and is close to the plate surface 32d of the plate-like body 32, and the plate-like body 32 stands upright on the main portion outer surface 31a. The plate surface 32d of the plate-like body 32 has substantially the same shape as the plate surface 22d of the standing plate piece 22 so that the adhesion area with the standing plate piece 22 is as large as possible. Although it is possible to only stand one plate-like body 32 along one hole edge 301 in the longitudinal direction of the slit 30, in this embodiment, the plate-like bodies 32 are formed on the lower member main portion 31 along both hole edges 301, 301 in the longitudinal direction of the slit 30. The two plate-like bodies 32 also function as positioning ribs that smoothly insert the standing plate piece 22 into the slit 30 and keep the standing plate piece 22 standing stably. A gap ε is formed between each of the plate-shaped bodies 32 and the upright plate piece 22, and the solidified portion 4B of the adhesive 4 is filled in both the gaps ε.

The solidified portion 4B of the adhesive 4 is a hardened portion of the adhesive 4 that fills the gap ε between the opposing plate surfaces 22d, 32d of the plate-piece-like body 32 and the standing plate piece 22, and bonds and integrates the two. The plate-piece-like body 32, which is adjacent to the plate surface 22d of the standing plate piece 22 inserted through the slit 30, faces the plate surface 32d and stands upright on the lower member main part 31. Therefore, when the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 are joined as shown in Figure 3, a gap ε as shown in Figure 4 is created between the standing plate piece 22 and the plate-piece-like body 32. In this two-piece spoiler 1, which is integrated with the upper member 2 and the lower member 3, the gap ε is filled with the solidified portion 4B of the adhesive 4 that integrates the standing plate piece 22 and the plate-piece-like body 32 (Figure 6).

Here, the thickness of the adhesive 4 filling the gap ε is thin, but in terms of adhesive strength, it is preferable that the layer of the adhesive solidified portion 4B is as thin as possible as long as it is continuous, and a good adhesive solidified portion 4B is formed. Moreover, the solidified portion 4B in this embodiment is formed on both plate surfaces 22d, 22d of the standing plate piece 22 as shown in Figure 6. The spoiler 1 has solidified portions 4B2 that are filled in two gaps ε between both plate surfaces 22d, 22d of the standing plate piece 22 and the opposing plate surfaces 32d of the plate piece-like body 32 formed along both longitudinal hole edges 301 related to the slit 30. In addition, the solidified portion 4B2 of the adhesive 4 filled in the gap ε between the opposing plate surfaces 22d, 32d of the plate-shaped body 32 and the standing plate piece 22 is formed continuously beyond the tip 322 of the opposing plate surfaces 22d, 32d onto the top surface 32f of the plate-shaped body 32 and onto the top surface 22f of the standing plate piece 22. The solidified portion 4B3 on the top surfaces 22f, 32f of the plate-shaped body 32 and the standing plate piece 22 helps to prevent the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 from peeling off.

The solidified portion 4B of the adhesive 4 is not limited to the gap ε, but is also formed by bonding the outer peripheral portions 211, 311 of the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 with the adhesive 4, as in the conventional spoiler 1, and integrating the two as shown in FIG. 5. The adhesive 4 is sandwiched and hardened between the band-shaped outer peripheral portion 311 with the outer peripheral edges 315, 316 of the lower member inner surface 31b as its outer edge, and the outer peripheral portion 211 of the corresponding part of the upper member inner surface 21b, forming the solidified portion 4B1. It is preferable that the solidified portion 4B1 is formed around the outer peripheral portions 211, 311 as shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, but it may be formed intermittently due to restrictions on the design surface shape, etc.

The adhesive 4 used here is a one-component moisture-curing urethane adhesive 4. The adhesive 4 for this spoiler does not have to be a one-component type, but it is preferable that it has a high molecular weight and high viscosity. Specifically, it is more preferable that it is in the range of 30,000 to 1,000,000 mPa·s. If a low-viscosity adhesive 4 is applied to the plate surface 22d of the standing plate piece 22, it will immediately run off and spread, but since the adhesive 4 is highly viscous, the adhesive 4 filling the gap ε tends to remain on the plate surface 22d and its vicinity. In addition, the initial pressure-bonding and hardening of the adhesive 4 can be completed in about 30 seconds after the adhesive 4 is applied to the standing plate piece 22, making it easier to handle the spoiler 1 after it is removed from the pressure tool T described below. The solidified portion 4B of the adhesive 4 can be quickly formed in the gap ε, resulting in a desired spoiler 1 that also contributes to improving productivity.

Furthermore, in the spoiler 1 of this embodiment, as shown in Figures 4 and 7, an opening 33 is provided through the plate thickness in the main part 31 around the base end 321 on the opposite side of the hole edge 301 side of the plate piece-like body 32. The outer side opening 33a is formed larger than the inner side opening 33b. The solidified part 4B4 of the adhesive 4 is filled and formed in the opening 33 including the outer side opening 33a as shown in Figure 6 to form an anchor. The solidified part 4B4 becomes a stopper to prevent the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 from peeling off. As shown in Figure 8 (d), the solidified part 4B4 of the opening 33 is connected to the solidified part 4B sandwiched between the lower member main part 31 around the inner side opening 33b and the upper member main body 21 facing it, so it works more effectively as a stopper. 9 shows another spoiler 1 in which the plate-like body 32 stands only at one hole edge 301 of the slit 30. The plate thickness t of the top 221 of the standing plate piece 22 is gradually reduced toward the top surface 22f to form a slope 2211. A solidified portion 4B3 of the adhesive 4 is provided around the top surface 22f including the slope 2211 to help prevent further peeling of the upper member 2 and the lower member 3. Reference numeral 22e denotes the plate thickness surface of the standing plate piece 22, reference numeral 32e denotes the plate thickness surface of the plate-like body 32, reference numeral 302 denotes the hole edge in the short direction of the slit 30, reference numeral 39 denotes the mounting plate portion to the mating member, and reference numeral CR denotes the bending line. In the present invention, the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 can be replaced with an outer member and an inner member, because the same action and effect can be obtained. Such a spoiler 1 can be manufactured, for example, by the manufacturing method for a vehicle spoiler described below.

(2) Manufacturing method of vehicle spoiler The manufacturing method of the vehicle spoiler is a manufacturing method in which the outer peripheral portions 211, 311 of the inner surfaces 21b, 31b of the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 are bonded together with adhesive 4 to integrate them, and the adhesive 4 filled in the gap ε between the standing plate piece 22 and the plate-like body 32 is hardened to integrate them. The upper member 2 is formed with the standing plate piece 22 standing up on the main body inner surface 21b, and a slit 30 is provided in the main part 31 of the lower member 3 corresponding to the standing plate piece 22 so that the standing plate piece 22 protrudes toward the outer surface side of the lower member 3 upon the integration. The lower member 3 is also formed with the plate-like body 32 standing up on the main part outer surface 31a along the longitudinal hole edge 301 related to the slit 30, with the plate surface 22d of the standing plate piece 22 facing and close to the plate surface 32d upon the integration. The spoiler 1 shown in Figure 5 is made, for example, as follows, by preparing the lower member 3 shown in Figure 1, the upper member 2 shown in Figure 2, adhesive 4, and crimping jig T.

First, the upper member 2 is set on the lower jig 5 of the upper member jig so that the upper member inner surface 21b and the lower member inner surface 31b face each other, and the lower member 3 is set on the upper jig 6 of the lower member jig. The upper member 2 is supported by the main body receiving surface 51, and the lower member 3 is supported by the main part receiving surface 61. The main part receiving surface 61 has a recess 62 in which the two plate-shaped bodies 32 are accommodated, and an enclosure portion 63 for the opening 33. Next, adhesive 4 is applied to both outer peripheral portions 211, 311 or one of the outer peripheral portions 211 (or 311), and adhesive 4 is applied to the plate surface 22d of the standing plate piece 22. Here, adhesive 4 is applied only to the outer peripheral portion 211 of the upper member 2, and adhesive 4 is applied so as to cover the entire surface of the standing plate piece 22, including the main body inner surface 21b around the standing plate piece 22. Then, the standing plate 22 faces the slit 30 as shown in FIG. 7(a).

Then, we move to the crimping process. The upper jig 6 with the lower member 3 set in it is lowered as shown by the white arrow in Figure 7 (b), and the standing piece 22 is inserted into the slit 30. The sticky paste 4A of the adhesive 4 that covers the standing piece 22 in the figure penetrates into the recess 62 together with the standing piece 22, and also into the opening 33 from the inner opening 33b.

Furthermore, the upper jig 6 is lowered as indicated by the white arrow in Figure 8(c) to press the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 together with the adhesive 4 by the pressing jig as shown in the figure. The standing plate piece 22 inserted through the slit 30 protrudes toward the outer surface 31a of the main part 31, and the plate surfaces 32d of each plate-piece-like body 32 face both plate surfaces 22d, 22d of the standing plate piece 22 with a gap ε between them. The adhesive 4 that covered the standing plate piece 22 then fills the gap ε. The adhesive 4 also fills the excess space 621 on the top surface 32f of the plate-piece-like body 32 and on the top surface 22f of the standing plate piece 22 beyond the tips 322 of the opposing plate surfaces 22d, 32d as shown in Figures 7(b) to 8. Here, by setting the lower member 3 on the upper jig 6, an excess space 621 is provided between the top surface 32f of the plate-like body and the top surface 22f of the standing plate and the bottom surface of the recess 62. After the standing plate 22 has been inserted into the slit 30 and protruded toward the main part outer surface 31a, as shown in FIG. 8(c), the excess space 621 is filled with adhesive 4. In addition, at the same time as the protrusion of the standing plate 22 is completed, the adhesive 4 applied to the outer peripheral portion 211 of the main body inner surface 21b is used to bond the outer peripheral portion 211 and the outer peripheral portion 311 of the main part inner surface 31b together.

Then, the state shown in FIG. 8(c) is maintained for a predetermined time to harden the adhesive 4. The adhesive 4 sandwiched between the outer peripheral portions 211, 311 of the upper member 2 and the lower member 3, and the adhesive 4 applied to the plate surface 22d of the standing plate piece 22 to fill the gap ε between the two opposing plate surfaces 22d, 32d, are hardened to form the solidified portion 4B. Solidified portions 4B3 on the top surfaces 22f, 32f and solidified portion 4B4 in the opening 33 are also formed. Then, the upper jig 6 is raised as shown by the hollow arrow in FIG. 8(d). An integrated product of the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 formed by the solidified portion 4B appears on the lower jig 5, which is removed to obtain the desired spoiler 1.

The plate-shaped body 32 may be provided only on one of the plate surfaces 22d of the standing plate piece 22, but in this embodiment, it is provided on the lower member 3 along both longitudinal hole edges 301 related to the slit 30. The plate surfaces 32d of each plate-shaped body 32 face the plate surfaces 22d, 22d of the standing plate piece 22 with a gap ε between them. After applying adhesive 4 to both plate surfaces 22d, 22d of the standing plate piece 22, the standing plate piece 22 inserted through the slit 30 is protruded to the outer surface side of the main part 31, and the adhesive 4 filled in each gap ε between the plate surfaces 22d, 22d of the standing plate piece 22 and each of the opposing plate surfaces 32d of the two plate-shaped bodies 32 is hardened to form a solidified portion 4B. By providing the solidified portion 4B on both plate surfaces 22d, 22d of the standing plate piece 22, the desired spoiler 1 with double the adhesive surface compared to only one plate surface 22d can be obtained. Reference numeral 35 denotes a dam to prevent the adhesive 4 from flowing, which is provided as necessary, and reference numeral 69 denotes a release coating. The other configurations are the same as those described in (1) for the vehicle spoiler, and their explanations will be omitted. Reference numerals that are the same as those in (1) denote the same or equivalent parts.

(3) Effect The vehicle spoiler thus constructed effectively increases the bonding strength between the upper member 2 and the lower member 3, improves the quality and reliability of the spoiler product, and exerts an excellent effect. As in the first invention , by providing the standing plate piece 22 standing on the main body inner surface 21b, the slit 30 provided in the main portion 31 corresponding to the standing plate piece 22, the plate piece-like body 32 standing on the main portion outer surface 31a with the plate surface 32d being close to the plate surface 22d of the standing plate piece 22 by integrating the upper member 2 and the lower member 3, and the solidified portion 4B of the adhesive 4 filling the gap ε between the two opposing plate surfaces 22d, 32d for bonding and integrating, a new adhesive plane can be easily secured even in cases where it is difficult to secure a flat surface for the adhesive 4 due to the design shape of the spoiler 1. This provides freedom in the design surface shape of the spoiler 1. Even if the main body inner surface 21b is somewhat uneven, the standing plate piece 22 can be erected thereon, and the standing plate piece 22 and both planar plate surfaces 22d, 32d of the plate-shaped body 32 can be bonded together. Even if the outer peripheral portions 211, 311 of the bonding surfaces are not flat, the standing plate piece 22 and the plate-shaped piece 32 can be set, so the freedom of shape of the spoiler 1 is increased. As long as a space for providing the standing plate piece 22 and the plate-shaped body 32 can be secured, there is no restriction on the design shape of the spoiler 1. By simply forming the standing plate piece 22 and the plate-shaped body 32, the bonding surface can be easily increased and the bonding strength can be increased.

In addition, when solidified portion 4B of adhesive 4 is formed in gap ε between standing plate piece 22 formed upright on main body inner surface 21b of upper member 2 and plate piece-like body 32 of lower member 3, the adhesive surface that bonds and integrates the two significantly changes angle with the adhesive surface at the outer periphery 211, 311, so that the bonding strength is significantly increased by taking advantage of the properties of adhesive 4. The adhesive surface of solidified portion 4B that bonds and integrates standing plate piece 22 standing on upper member main body 21 and plate piece-like body 32 standing on lower member main portion 31 is shaped to be approximately perpendicular to the main adhesive surface of solidified portion 4B that bonds and integrates outer periphery 211 of upper member inner surface 21b and outer periphery 311 of lower member inner surface 31b, as shown in FIG. The strength of the adhesive 4 includes shear strength and peel strength, and generally, when one strength is increased, the other strength decreases (Shimbo Masaki: Adhesive Strength and Destruction, "Adhesive Handbook 2nd Edition", p. 54, Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun (1991)). For example, when an adhesive 4 with a high shear strength is used, the adhesive solidified part 4B1 that integrates the outer peripheral parts 211, 311 has a low peel strength, and the upper member 2 is easily peeled upward from the lower member 3 in FIG. 6. However, the adhesive surface of the gap filling solidified part 4B2 intersects at an angle close to perpendicular to the adhesive surface of the adhesive solidified part 4B1 that integrates the outer peripheral parts 211, 311, and the shear force of the adhesive 4, which was previously set to a high shear strength, works effectively and exerts its power. The shear force of the gap filling solidified part 4B2 works strongly and can prevent the upper member 2 from peeling upward from the lower member 3 in FIG. 6. This will significantly increase the external force required to peel the upper member 2 from the lower member 3 upward in FIG. 6. When using an adhesive 4 with reversed shear strength and peel strength, the peel strength of the adhesive surface of the solidified portion 4B1 on the outer periphery can be effectively reinforced and complemented by the shear strength of the adhesive surface of the gap-filling solidified portion 4B2 that intersects with the adhesive surface, making for an extremely reasonable spoiler 1.

Furthermore, since the standing plate piece 22 of the upper member 2 protrudes through the slit 30 provided in the lower member 3, if the shear force of the adhesive surface of the solidified adhesive portion 4B1 is weak and the upper member 2 tries to slip sideways from the lower member 3, the lower member main part 31 around the hole edges 301, 302 of the slit 30 and the plate-like body 32 stop the movement of the standing plate piece 22. The upper member 2 can be prevented from slipping sideways. The structure makes it difficult for the upper member 2 to come off in the shear direction from the lower member 3. Furthermore, since the standing plate piece 22 is inserted into the slit 30 and protrudes toward the outer surface 31a of the main part 31, and the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 are bonded together to form an integrated unit, the upper member 2 is autonomously positioned relative to the lower member 3 when the standing plate piece 22 is inserted into the slit 30, making the two-piece joining work of integrating the two extremely easy. There is no need to worry about misalignment.

As described above, the upright plate piece 22 standing on the upper member main body 21, the plate piece-like body 32 standing on the lower member main part 31, and the gap filling solidified portion 4B2 between the two plate surfaces 22d, 32d are provided, so the present invention does not simply increase the adhesive surface area of the adhesive 4, but the adhesive integration of the gap filling solidified portion 4B2 makes use of the properties of the adhesive 4 and contributes greatly to maintaining the integration of the lower member 3 and the upper member 2. The upright plate piece 22 and plate piece-like body 32 can increase the bonding strength and can potentially replace mechanical fastening. This eliminates distortion caused by mechanical fastening, leading to lower costs.

As in the second invention , if the standing plate piece 22 is an injection molded portion formed by extending from the injection molded main body 21 of the upper member 2, and the plate-like body 32 is an injection molded portion formed by extending from the injection molded main portion 31 of the lower member 3, costs can be reduced. As in the third invention , if the plate-like bodies 32 are formed on the lower member 3 along both longitudinal hole edges 301 related to the slit 30, gap-filling solidified portions 4B2 of the adhesive 4 that are integrated with the plate-like body 32 can be provided on both plate surfaces 22d, 22d of the standing plate piece 22. By simply securing a small space by adding one more plate-like body 32, the adhesive surface of the gap-filling solidified portion 4B2 can be doubled, and the adhesive force can be effectively increased. In addition, when a pair of plate-like bodies 32 stand up along both hole edges 301 of the slit 30, the standing plate pieces 22 that are inserted into the slit 30 and protrude from the main part outer surface 31a are positioned and held in place, so that the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 do not shift or wobble when they are attached to each other, improving workability and stabilizing quality.

As in the fourth invention , when an opening 33 penetrating the plate thickness is provided in the main portion 31 around the base end 321 on the opposite side to the hole edge 301 of the plate-like body 32 and the outer surface opening 33a is made larger than the inner surface opening 33b, for example, by filling the opening 33 continuing from the gap filling solidified portion 4B2 onto the outer surface opening 33a with solidified portion 4B4, the solidified portion 4B4 can be used as a stopper to prevent peeling between the upper member 2 and the lower member 3. As in the fifth invention , when the solidified portion 4B2 of the adhesive 4 filling the gap ε between the opposing plate surfaces 22d, 32d of the plate-shaped body 32 and the standing plate piece 22 is provided continuously beyond the tips 322 of the opposing plate surfaces 22d, 32d onto the top surface 32f of the plate-shaped body 32 and onto the top surface 22f of the standing plate piece 22, the solidified portion 4B3 on the top surfaces 22f, 32f becomes a resisting portion that prevents the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 from peeling apart. This is effective in maintaining the integration of the upper member 2 and the lower member 3.

As in the sixth invention , if the plate width W of the standing plate piece 22 at the top 221 of the standing plate piece is made smaller as it approaches the top surface 22f, it becomes easier to insert the standing plate piece 22 into the slit 30. As in the seventh invention , if the plate thickness t at the top 221 of the standing plate piece 22 is gradually made smaller toward the top surface 22f, a solidified portion 4B can be provided on the inclined surface 2211 that becomes smaller toward the top surface 22f, and the solidified portion 4B can be used as a stopper to prevent the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 from peeling off. In this way, this vehicle spoiler exhibits the various excellent effects described above and is extremely useful.

The present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and can be modified in various ways within the scope of the present invention depending on the purpose and application. The shape, size, number, material, etc. of the upper member 2, standing plate piece 22, lower member 3, slit 30, plate piece-like body 32, adhesive 4, crimping jig T, etc. can be selected appropriately according to the application. For example, the plate piece-like body 33 in the embodiment may be a plate piece-like body 33 with a flat surface 33d opposite to the plate surface 22d of the standing plate piece 22, and the opposite surface side may be a convex semi-cylindrical shape.
