Description

The present invention relates to an information processing device and an information processing method.

In response to a user's purchase of a product at a store, a special offer is applied to the user. For example, in Patent Document 1, a distributor that distributes special offer information indicating the special offer distributes the special offer information to a user terminal used by the user, and the special offer is applied to the user when the user selects the special offer indicated by the special offer information at a store and purchases a product.

Since distribution companies distribute bonus information to multiple users who are likely to visit a store, they can expect a high sales promotion effect. However, with conventional technology, there was a problem in that the amount that a store pays to a distribution company for the distribution of bonus information did not reflect the compensation corresponding to the sales promotion effect associated with the distribution of bonus information.

The present invention was made in consideration of these points, and aims to reflect the compensation corresponding to the promotional effect in the amount paid by the store to the distribution company for the distribution of the bonus information.

The present invention has the effect of allowing the amount paid by a store to a distributor for the distribution of special information to reflect the compensation corresponding to the promotional effect.

[Overview of payment system S]
1 is a diagram showing an overview of a payment system S. The payment system S is a system that, when a user purchases a product or service at a store, performs payment in response to a payment request received from a user terminal 2 carried by the user or a store terminal 3 used by the store.

The payment system S comprises a payment processing device 1 as an information processing device, a user terminal 2, and a store terminal 3. The payment processing device 1 is a server that processes the payment of the purchase amount. In addition to processing the payment, the payment processing device 1 distributes bonus information indicating the contents of the bonus applied to the payment to the user terminal 2, and provides a bonus service that applies bonuses to the user upon payment. The user terminal 2 is an information terminal used by the user, and is, for example, a smartphone, tablet, or personal computer. The store terminal 3 is, for example, a POS terminal, tablet, or personal computer.

The flow up to the completion of payment will be explained below with reference to Figure 1. In the following explanation, products and services are collectively referred to as products. The payment processing device 1 receives, in response to a predetermined payment method, from at least one of the user terminal 2 and the store terminal 3, the user's user ID, the store's store ID, and a payment request corresponding to the payment for the purchase of a product at the user's store ((4) in FIG. 1).

The specified payment method is, for example, a payment method using a code. Payment methods using codes include the CPM (Consumer Presented Mode) payment method and the MPM (Merchant Presented Mode) payment method. The CPM method is a method in which a payment code such as a two-dimensional barcode is displayed on the user terminal 2, and payment is made when the payment code is read by the store. The MPM method is a method in which a payment code is presented at the store and payment is made when the payment code is read by the user. In the following explanation, the payment method using a code is referred to as code payment.

When the payment processing device 1 receives a payment request, it applies the benefits indicated by the benefit information associated with the user ID received along with the payment request to the user indicated by the received user ID ((5) in Figure 1), and makes the payment based on the received user ID, store ID, and payment information ((6) in Figure 1).

The payment processing device 1 identifies the amount to be charged to the store operator based on the application status of the bonus for payment requests received from some of the multiple users ((7) in Figure 1). The payment processing device 1 notifies the store operator of the identified amount to be charged ((8) in Figure 1). The application status of the bonus indicates the actual application of the bonus to the multiple users to whom the bonus information was delivered, and the content of the payment when the bonus was applied.

The payment processing device 1 is expected to have a high sales promotion effect because it distributes bonus information to multiple users who are likely to visit a store. Furthermore, the payment processing device 1 can reflect the compensation corresponding to the sales promotion effect based on the application status of the bonus in the amount paid by the store to the distribution company for the distribution of the bonus information.

The detailed configurations of the payment processing device 1, the user terminal 2, and the store terminal 3 are described below. Note that the explanation will be given assuming that the specified payment method is a CPM code payment.

The memory unit 12 also stores grant history information indicating the grant history of privileges to users. FIG. 6 is a diagram showing an example of grant history information. As shown in FIG. 6, the grant history information is information that associates the user ID of a user to whom a privilege has been granted, a privilege ID indicating a privilege, a store ID indicating a store where a payment corresponding to the privilege was made, the payment amount of the payment corresponding to the privilege, and the privilege grant time when the privilege was granted.

The control unit 13 is, for example, a CPU (Central Processing Unit). When the distribution unit 132 distributes the bonus information, the distribution unit 132 associates the bonus ID corresponding to the bonus information, the store ID corresponding to the bonus information, and the user ID corresponding to the user terminal 2 to which the bonus information is to be distributed, and stores these in the storage unit 12 as distribution management information. When the payment processing unit 134 receives a payment request, it performs payment based on the received user ID and store ID. Specifically, when the payment request receiving unit 133 receives a payment request, the payment processing unit 134 first determines whether a payment token matching the payment token included in the payment request is stored in the memory unit 12. Fig. 7 is an operation sequence diagram of the payment system S. Note that, although only one user terminal 2 is shown in the sequence diagram shown in Fig. 7, it is assumed that a plurality of user terminals 2 actually exist.

First, the registration unit 131 of the payment processing device 1 receives the store ID and bonus information from the store terminal 3 (S1), and associates the received store ID with the bonus information and stores them in the memory unit 12 (S2).

The payment request receiving unit 133 of the payment processing device 1 receives a payment request including payment information and a payment token from the store terminal 3. The payment request receiving unit 133 of the payment processing device 1 receives a payment request including payment information, a payment token, and a user ID from the user terminal 2. A storage unit that stores benefit information indicating the content of a benefit that will be applied to a payment at a store, the benefit information being obtained from a store operator that operates the store;
a distribution unit that distributes the special offer information to user terminals used by each of a plurality of users, and causes the storage unit to store the special offer information in association with user identification information for identifying each of the plurality of users;
a payment request receiving unit that receives, from a store terminal used in the store or a user terminal used by each of at least a portion of the users, the user identification information corresponding to each of the plurality of users and store identification information for identifying the store, and a payment request including a payment amount corresponding to a payment for a purchase of a product at the store by each of the portion of the users;
a payment processing unit that, upon receiving the payment request, performs a process in which the user pays the payment amount corresponding to the payment based on the received user identification information, and also performs a process in which an amount obtained by deducting a payment fee from the payment amount is credited to an account of a store corresponding to the store identification information;
a privilege granting unit that applies the privilege indicated by the privilege information associated with the user identification information received together with the payment request to the user indicated by the received user identification information, and, when the privilege is applied to the user, stores in the storage unit grant history information that associates the store identification information received together with the payment request, privilege identification information for identifying the applied privilege, and the payment amount of the payment to which the privilege was applied ;
