Description
本発明の実施形態に係る白金担持Mo酸化物触媒は、モリブデン三酸化物(MoO3)を含むMo酸化物と、Mo酸化物に担持された白金(Pt)粒子とを具備する。白金担持Mo酸化物触媒は、二酸化炭素の還元により一酸化炭素およびメタノールの少なくとも一方を生成させる反応を促進する。水素の存在下では、二酸化炭素の脱酸素反応により高い収率でメタノールが生成する。

MoO3に酸素欠陥を導入すると、酸化物中の電子密度が増大し、バンド構造の変化に伴って、表面プラズモン共鳴が発現し得る。表面プラズモン共鳴が発現していることは、例えば、紫外可視近赤外(Ultra Violet-Visible-Near InfraRed:UV-Vis-NIR)吸収スペクトルなどにより確認することができる。室温付近から300℃までの温度で水素還元処理して酸素欠陥を導入した白金担持Mo酸化物触媒は、紫外領域から赤外領域にかけて光吸収を示すことがあり、特に500nm~600nmにかけて表面プラズモン共鳴に由来する強い光吸収を示すことがある。これは、可視光の照射下で、白金担持Mo酸化物触媒中のMo酸化物の表面プラズモン共鳴が誘起されることを意味している。300℃を超える高温で水素還元処理を施すと、白金担持Mo酸化物触媒はMoO2の単斜晶系結晶に近い構造をとるため、表面プラズモン共鳴を発現しにくくなる。したがって、白金担持Mo酸化物触媒は、表面プラズモン共鳴を発現し得る状態において特に高活性である。
白金担持Mo酸化物触媒の存在下で、二酸化炭素の脱酸素反応によって一酸化炭素およびメタノールの少なくとも一方が生成する反応は、次のようなメカニズムによると考えられる。白金担持Mo酸化物触媒に二酸化炭素を接触させると、二酸化炭素の一方の酸素原子がMoO3の酸素欠陥に吸着し、配位する。これにより二酸化炭素の脱酸素反応が起こり、一酸化炭素が生成する。二酸化炭素の分圧が高圧の条件下では、さらに一酸化炭素がPt粒子上に移動し、Pt粒子上で開裂して生成した水素原子が一酸化炭素に逐次的に付加することでメタノールが生成する。すなわち、メタノールは一酸化炭素を中間物質として生成する。また、反応系内の水素が酸素欠陥を失った白金担持Mo酸化物触媒のPt粒子上で開裂すると、生成した水素原子はMoO3中にスピルオーバーし、MoO3中の酸素原子とH2Oを生成して脱離する。この反応により、再びMoO3に酸素欠陥が導入され、白金担持Mo酸化物触媒の高活性が再現される。
白金担持Mo酸化物触媒は、担体となるMoO3の表面にPt粒子を固定化することによって得られる。
MoO3の調製方法は、特に限定されず、例えば、七モリブデン酸六アンモニウム(AHM)を、大気雰囲気下で焼成した後、粉砕することによって調製することができる。焼成条件は特に限定されないが、焼成を十分に行うためには、焼成温度を400℃~600℃、焼成時間を1時間以上とすることが好ましい。
合金中の金属元素M1の含有量は、金属としてPtのみを担持させた場合と同等以上の高い触媒活性を得るために、50モル%以下であることが好ましい。
酸化物中、金属元素M2の含有量は、Moのみを担体に含む場合と同等以上の高い触媒活性を得るために、Moおよび金属元素M2の合計の50モル%以下であることが好ましく、20モル%以下であることがより好ましい。
Pt/MoO3のMoO3が水素還元され得ることは、例えば、昇温還元測定(Temperature Programmed Reduction:H2-TPR)などにより確認することができる。すなわち、白金担持Mo酸化物触媒に水素還元処理を施すと、MoO3に酸素欠陥が導入される。
本発明の実施形態に係る一酸化炭素/メタノールの製造方法においては、白金担持Mo酸化物触媒と水素との存在下、二酸化炭素の脱酸素反応を行う。
一酸化炭素を選択的に生成させたいときは、二酸化炭素の分圧は、好ましくは0.1MPa以上、2.0MPa以下、より好ましくは0.1MPa以上、1.0MPa以下である。また、メタノールの選択性を高めたいときは、二酸化炭素の分圧は、好ましくは0.5MPa以上、200MPa以下、より好ましくは1.0MPa以上、200MPa以下である。
MoO3に酸素欠陥を導入すると、白金担持Mo酸化物触媒は、紫外領域から赤外領域にかけて光吸収を示すことがあり、特に500nm~600nmにかけて表面プラズモン共鳴に由来する強い光吸収を示すことがある。このような場合、二酸化炭素の脱酸素反応を、光照射下でより穏やかな条件で効率的に行うことが可能である。
<Pt/MoO3の調製>
七モリブデン酸六アンモニウム(AHM)(和光純薬工業株式会社製)1.25gを、大気雰囲気下、450℃で4時間焼成し、モリブデン三酸化物(MoO3)を調製した。
得られたMoO31.0gを水100gに分散させ、テトラクロロ白金(II)酸カリウム(K2PtCl4)(ナカライテスク株式会社製)水溶液(35mmol/L)4.5mL、尿素0.2gを加え、95℃で6時間攪拌した。攪拌終了後、反応液から遠心分離により生成物を取り出し、水で洗浄した後、真空乾燥させて粉末状のPt/MoO3約0.8gを得た。MoO3に担持されたPt粒子の質量は、Mo酸化物の質量の1.8%であった。
<Pt/HxMoO3-y(100)の調製>
製造例1で得られたPt/MoO3に対して、101.3kPaの水素分圧下、100℃で0.5時間、水素還元処理を行い、Pt/HxMoO3-y(100)を調製した。
<Pt/HxMoO3-y(200)の調製>
水素還元処理を200℃で行った以外は製造例2と同様にして、Pt/HxMoO3-y(200)を調製した。
<Pt/HxMoO3-y(300)の調製>
水素還元処理を300℃で行った以外は製造例2と同様にして、Pt/MoO3(300)を調製した。
<Pt/HxMoO3-y(400)の調製>
水素還元処理を400℃で行った以外は製造例2と同様にして、Pt/MoO3(400)を調製した。
<Pt6Cu/HxMoO3-y(300)の調製>
製造例1で得られたMoO31.0gを、水100gに分散させ、銅前駆体である硝酸銅(II)三水和物(ナカライテスク株式会社製)水溶液(15.4mmol/L)1.6mL、尿素0.2gを加え、95℃で6時間攪拌した。攪拌終了後、反応液から遠心分離により生成物を取り出し、水で洗浄した後、真空乾燥させて粉末状のCu/MoO3約0.9gを調製した。
次いで、製造例4と同様にしてPt6Cu/MoO3を水素還元処理し、酸素欠陥が導入されたPt6Cu/HxMoO3-y(300)を調製した。
<Pt/W0.05Mo0.95Oz(300)の調製>
七モリブデン酸六アンモニウム(AHM)(和光純薬工業株式会社製)1.0gと、タングステン前駆体であるパラタングステン酸アンモニウム(和光純薬株式会社製)78mgとを乳鉢を混合した後、大気雰囲気下、450℃で4時間焼成し、W0.05Mo0.95Oz約1.0gを調製した。
次いで、製造例4と同様にしてPt/W0.05Mo0.95Ozを水素還元処理し、酸素欠陥が導入されたPt/W0.05Mo0.95Oz(300)を調製した。
<Pt/WO3、Pt/WO3(200)、Pt/WO3(300)の調製>
触媒担体として、MoO3の代わりに、可視光を吸収する三酸化タングステン(WO3)(株式会社高純度化学研究所製)を用いること以外は製造例1と同様にして、Pt/WO3約1.0gを得た。
次いで、製造例3および製造例4と同様にして、得られたPt/WO3の水素還元処理を行い、Pt/WO3(200)およびPt/WO3(300)を調製した。
<Pt/TiO2、Pt/TiO2(200)、Pt/TiO2(300)の調製>
触媒担体として、MoO3の代わりに、可視光を吸収する二酸化チタン(TiO2)(P25、日本アエロジル株式会社製)を用いること以外は製造例1と同様にして、Pt/TiO2約1.0gを得た。
次いで、製造例3および製造例4と同様にして、得られたPt/TiO2の水素還元処理を行い、Pt/TiO2(200)およびPt/TiO2(300)を調製した。
<Pt/SiO2、Pt/SiO2(200)、Pt/SiO2(300)の調製>
触媒担体として、MoO3の代わりに、アモルファスシリカ(ヒュームドシリカ、アルドリッチ社製)を用いること以外は製造例1と同様にして、Pt/SiO2約1.0gを得た。
次いで、製造例3および製造例4と同様にして、得られたPt/SiO2の水素還元処理を行い、Pt/SiO2(200)およびPt/SiO2(300)を調製した。
<Pt/V2O5(200)、Pt/V2O5(300)の調製>
触媒担体として、MoO3の代わりに、五酸化バナジウム触媒(V2O5)を用いること以外は製造例1と同様にして、Pt/V2O5約1.0gを得た。
次いで、製造例3および製造例4と同様にして、得られたPt/V2O5の水素還元処理を行い、Pt/V2O5(200)およびPt/V2O5(300)を調製した。
<Pt/γ-Al2O3、Pt/γ-Al2O3(300)の調製>
触媒担体として、MoO3の代わりに、酸化アルミニウム(γ-Al2O3)(JRC-ALO-4、触媒学会参照触媒)を用いること以外は製造例1と同様にして、Pt/γ-Al2O3約1.0gを得た。
次いで、製造例4と同様にして、得られたPt/γ-Al2O3の水素還元処理を行い、Pt/γ-Al2O3(300)を調製した。
<Pt/ZrO2(300)の調製>
触媒担体として、MoO3の代わりに、酸化ジルコニウム(ZrO2)(RC-100、第一稀元素化学工業株式会社製)を用いること以外は製造例1と同様にして、Pt/ZrO2約1.0gを得た。
次いで、製造例4と同様にして、得られたPt/ZrO2の水素還元処理を行い、Pt/ZrO2(300)を調製した。
<Pd/HxMoO3-y(200)、Pd/HxMoO3-y(300)の調製>
金属前駆体として、K2PtCl4の代わりに、テトラクロロパラジウム(II)酸ナトリウム(Na2PdCl4)(ナカライテスク株式会社製)を用いること以外は製造例1と同様にして、Pd/MoO3約0.8gを得た。
次いで、製造例3および製造例4と同様にして、得られたPd/MoO3の水素還元処理を行い、酸素欠陥が導入されたPd/HxMoO3-y(200)およびPd/HxMoO3-y(300)を調製した。
<Cu/MoO3(200)、Cu/MoO3(300)の調製>
製造例6で得られたCu/MoO3の水素還元処理を製造例3および製造例4と同様にして行い、Cu/MoO3(200)およびCu/MoO3(300)を調製した。
<MoO3(300)の調製>
製造例1で得られたMoO3の水素還元処理を製造例4と同様にして行い、MoO3(300)を調製した。
製造例1~4で調製した触媒について、UV-Vis-NIR吸収スペクトルを測定した。測定は、UV-2600(株式会社島津製作所製)に積分球付属装置ISR-2200(株式会社島津製作所製)を接続して実施した。参照試料として硫酸バリウム(BaSO4)粉末を用いた。測定結果を図1に示す。
製造例1、製造例8、製造例9、製造例10および製造例12で調製した水素還元処理を施していない触媒について、H2-TPR測定を行った。測定は、BELCATII(マイクロトラック・ベル株式会社製)を用い、Arで希釈して濃度を5体積%としたH2を30mL/分で流通させながら、昇温速度5℃/分で実施した。水素消費は熱伝導検出器(TCD)で検出した。測定結果を図2に示す。
製造例1~5で調製した触媒について、XRDによる測定を行った。装置としてUltimaIV(株式会社リガク製)を用い、加速電圧40kV、放電電流40mVで測定を実施した。図3に、得られた触媒のXRDパターンを示す。
製造例1~5で調製した触媒について、水素ドープ量(x)および酸素欠陥量(y)をTGにより求めた。測定は、Thermo plus EVOII(株式会社リガク製)を用い、50mL/分の窒素気流中または大気気流中、昇温速度10℃/分で実施した。
製造例1~4で調製した触媒について、XPSによる測定を行った。装置としてESCA-3400(株式会社島津製作所製)を用い、MgKα線(1253.6eV)を線源として測定を実施した。結果を図4に示す。
製造例3で調製したPt/HxMoO3-y(200)をTEMで観察した。TEMはH-800(株式会社日立製作所製)を用い、加速電圧200kVで測定を実施した。撮影した写真を図5に示す。Mo酸化物上に、平均粒子径2.4nmのPt粒子が高分散し、固定化されていることが確認された。
[実施例1]
製造例4および製造例8~16で調製した300℃で水素還元処理した触媒を用いて二酸化炭素の脱酸素反応を行った。触媒50mgと、溶媒である1,4-ジオキサン15mLとを、ステンレス製耐圧反応容器に入れ、二酸化炭素ガスおよび水素ガスを導入後、暗所下、200℃で20時間反応させた。二酸化炭素の分圧は1MPa、水素の分圧は3MPaとした。
反応終了後、生成物の分析をメタナイザー付きガスクロマトグラフ-水素炎イオン化検出器(GC-FID)によって行った。分析結果から求めた二酸化炭素の転化率(%)、生成したメタノール、一酸化炭素およびメタンの選択率、担持金属量基準の全生成物に対する触媒回転数(TON)を表1に示す。
製造例4で調製したPt/HxMoO3-y(300)を触媒として用いて、実施例1と同様にして二酸化炭素の脱酸素反応を行った。反応時間を120時間として、生成物の収量と選択率の経時変化を分析した。結果を図6および図7に示す。
製造例4で調製したPt/HxMoO3-y(300)を触媒として用いて、表2に示す条件下で反応を行い、二酸化炭素から一酸化炭素およびメタノールが生成するメカニズムについて分析した。
製造例1~5で調製した触媒を用いて、実施例1と同様にして二酸化炭素の脱酸素反応を行った。二酸化炭素の転化率および生成物の選択率を求めた結果を図8に示す。また、触媒の水素還元温度、生成物の収量、上記で求めた各触媒の水素ドープ量(x)および酸素欠陥量(y)との相関関係を図9に示す。
製造例4、製造例6および製造例7の触媒を用いて、実施例1と同様にして二酸化炭素の脱酸素反応を行った。
製造例3で調製したPt/HxMoO3-y(200)を用いて、二酸化炭素の脱酸素反応を行った。触媒100mgを石英製反応器に入れ、二酸化炭素ガスおよび水素ガスを導入後、暗所および可視光(>450nm)の照射下、140℃で2時間反応させた。二酸化炭素の分圧は0.5atm、水素の分圧は0.5atmとした。可視光の照射装置としては、キセノンランプを用いた。触媒1gあたりの一酸化炭素の生成量(mmol)の経時変化を図10に示す。
製造例3、製造例8~10、製造例14~15で調製した200℃で水素還元処理した触媒を用いて、実施例6と同様にして可視光照射下で二酸化炭素の脱酸素反応を行った。1gの触媒あたりの一酸化炭素の生成量(mmol)の経時変化を図11および図12に示す。
製造例2~4で調製した触媒を用いて、実施例6と同様にして可視光照射下で二酸化炭素の脱酸素反応を行った。触媒1gあたりの一酸化炭素の生成量(mmol)の経時変化を図13に示す。また、水素還元温度と、一酸化炭素の生成量(mmol)、各触媒の水素ドープ量(x)および酸素欠陥量(y)との相関関係を図14に示す。
製造例3で調製したPt/HxMoO3-y(200)を触媒として、照射装置としてキセノンランプに代えて発光ダイオード(Light Emitting Diode:LED)ランプ(緑、赤、青)を用いた以外は実施例6と同様にして、二酸化炭素の脱酸素反応を行った。触媒1gあたりの一酸化炭素の生成量(mmol)の経時変化を図15に示す。また、Pt/HxMoO3-y(200)のUV-Vis-NIR吸収スペクトル、各LEDの波長および各LEDを照射したときの一酸化炭素の生成量の増加率を図16に示した。なお、生成量の増加率は、暗所における反応時の生成量と比較して求められる値である。
Claims (10)
- モリブデン三酸化物を含むMo酸化物と、
前記Mo酸化物に担持された白金粒子と、を具備し、
前記モリブデン三酸化物が、酸素欠陥を有し、
前記Mo酸化物を一般式:H x MoO 3-y で表すとき、
0<x<2.0、かつ
0.2≦y≦0.8を満たし、
二酸化炭素の還元により一酸化炭素およびメタノールの少なくとも一方を生成させる反応を促進する、酸化チタンを含まない、白金担持Mo酸化物触媒。 - 前記Mo酸化物が、アモルファス構造を有する、請求項1に記載の白金担持Mo酸化物触媒。
- 可視光の照射下で前記Mo酸化物の表面プラズモン共鳴が誘起される、請求項1または2に記載の白金担持Mo酸化物触媒。
- 前記Mo酸化物に担持された前記白金粒子の質量が、前記Mo酸化物の質量の0.1%以上、5%以下である、請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の白金担持Mo酸化物触媒。
- 前記白金粒子が、白金以外の金属元素M1を含む、請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の白金担持Mo酸化物触媒。
- 前記Mo酸化物が、モリブデン以外の金属元素M2を含む、請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載の白金担持Mo酸化物触媒。
- 請求項1に記載の白金担持Mo酸化物触媒および水素の存在下で、二酸化炭素の脱酸素反応を行い、一酸化炭素およびメタノールの少なくとも一方を生成させる工程を有する、一酸化炭素/メタノールの製造方法。
- 300℃以下の雰囲気で前記脱酸素反応を行う、請求項7に記載の一酸化炭素/メタノールの製造方法。
- 前記脱酸素反応を前記Mo酸化物の表面プラズモン共鳴が誘起される可視光の照射下で行う、請求項7または8に記載の一酸化炭素/メタノールの製造方法。
- 150℃以下の雰囲気で前記脱酸素反応を行う、請求項9に記載の一酸化炭素/メタノールの製造方法。
