Description

The present invention relates to a file for holding documents and other paper sheets.

As means for storing, holding, carrying, and transporting one or more sheets of paper, so-called clear books, pocket files, clear holders, folders, etc., as disclosed in Non-Patent Document 1 below, are well known (for example, see Non-Patent Document 1 below).

The following Patent Document 1 discloses a folder that can be used as a simple reading stand. A base (reading stand 2) capable of supporting paper sheets is attached to the inside of the back cover of the folder. In addition, a fixing means (concave fastener 6) for fixing the bottom end of the base (convex fastener 5) is provided on the inside of the front cover of the folder. After the folder is unfolded, the back cover and base are raised and the bottom end of the base is fixed to the inside of the front cover to form a reading stand.

In the reading stand shown above, the entire front cover serves as the base, or contact surface, and supports the base in an upright position. In other words, when used as a reading stand, it tends to take up a large amount of space in the depth direction (front to back) on a desk, etc.

The intended purpose of the present invention is to provide a file that can be used as a simple reading stand without taking up a large amount of space in the depth direction.

In this invention, a file is constructed that includes a base with a holder for holding paper sheets, and a cover member that is attached to the back side of the base and folded around to the front side of the base, and that can support the base in an upright position by bending the portion of the cover member that is not attached to the back side of the base and inserting a portion of it between the cover member and the base and abutting it against the back side of the base.

More specifically, the cover member has a back cover attached to the back side of the base and a front cover overlapping the front side of the base, and at least a portion of the back cover is moved away from the back side of the base and at least a portion of the front cover is brought into contact with the back side of the base, thereby supporting the base in an upright position.

The front cover is provided with a hinge that serves as a fold when bending the cover member, and when the base is supported in an upright position, a portion of the front cover bent via the hinge is brought into contact with the back surface of the base, and the remaining portion serves as the contact surface.

When the base is supported in an upright position, if a restoring force that elastically presses the base toward the front side acts on the part of the cover member that abuts against the back side of the base, that part will adhere closely to the back side of the base and will not easily come loose, allowing the base to continue to be stably supported.

The base is, for example, an elastically deformable resin plate.

When the base is supported in an upright position, if the portion of the cover member attached to the back side of the base is biased above the vertical center of the upright base, and the tip of the portion of the cover member that abuts against the back side of the base is inserted above the vertical center of the upright base, the structure supporting the upright base will be more stable.

The present invention makes it possible to create a file that can be used as a simple reading stand without taking up a large amount of space in the depth direction.

One embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Figures 1 to 8 show a file of this embodiment. The file of this embodiment can be used as a means for storing, holding, carrying, and transporting one or more documents and other paper sheets. Furthermore, as shown in Figures 3 and 8, it can also be used as a simple reading stand for reading paper sheets in an upright position.

The file of this embodiment comprises a cover member 1 consisting of a front cover 11, a spine cover 12, and a back cover 13 connected together, a base (base sheet, base plate) 2 attached to the inside surface of the back cover 13 of the cover member 1, and holders 3, 41, 42 provided on the base 2 for holding paper sheets. The cover member 1 also functions as a support that holds the base 2 in an upright position.

The cover member 1, for example, has an outer surface that is exposed when folded and a thin sheet 16 made of elastically deformable resin (thermoplastic resin such as PP (polypropylene)) that is concealed inside, and the two are joined by sewing, welding, or gluing, and reinforced by inserting cardboard (hard, thick paper, particularly chipboard made from strawboard or recycled paper) between the two as a core material 19. In this embodiment, the cloth material 15 and the resin sheet 16 are sewn together. Figure 6 shows the seam (stitch) 17.

Hinges 14 are provided between the front cover 11 and the spine 12, and between the spine 12 and the back cover 13. Hinges 14 are also provided in the middle of the front cover 11 and the middle of the back cover 13. To form these hinges 14, the resin sheet 16 on the inside side of the cover member 1 is scored (or lined) using a thermal hinge scoring machine. The core material 19 is not a single piece of board, but is divided at the hinges 14.

The base 2 is, for example, a plate material made of an elastically deformable resin (such as PP). The thickness and rigidity of the base 2 are greater than those of the resin sheet 16 on the inner side of the cover member 1, and the pocket member 3 and partition member 4 described below. In order to protect the holder and the paper sheets held therein, a protective portion 21 that protrudes downward is formed at the lower corner of the side end of the base 2. The base 2 is attached to the cover member 1 by sewing, welding, adhesive, or the like so that its back surface faces the inner surface of the back cover 13. In this embodiment, the base 2 and the cover member 1 are sewn together. The sewing point 18 corresponds to the hinge 14 in the middle of the back cover 13, as shown in Figures 6 to 8.

The holding parts 3, 41, 42 are composed of a pocket member 3 and a partition member 4 attached to the base 2, and are pockets that can hold paper sheets between the base 2 and the pocket member 3. The pocket member 3 is made of a thin sheet of resin (PP, etc.), for example. The pocket member 3 is arranged on the front side of the base 2 and faces the front side of the base 2. As shown in Figures 2, 3, 7, and 8, the pocket 3 is closed on one of its two outer sides, i.e., the right side and the bottom, and open on the other of its two outer sides, i.e., the left side and the top. As shown in Figure 4, the pocket member 3 has a joint piece 32 that protrudes to the right from its right edge and a joint piece 33 that protrudes downward from its bottom edge. These joint pieces 32, 33 then wrap around to the back side of the base 2 and are joined to the back side of the base 2 by sewing, welding, or adhesive. In this embodiment, the joint pieces 32, 33 of the pocket member 3 are welded to the base 2.

The upper edge 34 of the pocket 3 slopes gradually downward from the closed right side to the open left side. Also, the left edge 35 of the pocket 3 is recessed inward, i.e., to the right, from the left edge of the base 2.

In addition, a gusset 31 is formed to the right of the closed pocket 3. When a certain number of paper sheets or more are inserted and held in the pocket 3, the gusset 31 spreads open, increasing the gap between the base 2 and the pocket member 3, and expanding the internal volume of the pocket 3. The lower portion of the gusset 31 is cut out so that it is recessed upward. This notch 36 allows the bottom edge of the gusset 31 to retreat above the crease between the pocket member 3 and the joint piece 33, i.e., the bottom edge of the pocket 3 itself, and the bottom edge of the joint piece 32. The notch 36 is intended to release force so that stress is not concentrated locally on the pocket 3.

Dividers 41 and 42 are provided between the surface of the base 2 and the pocket 3. The dividers 41 and 42 are formed by the divider member 4 shown in FIG. 5. The divider member 4 is made of, for example, a thin sheet made of resin (such as PP), and is folded in half along the crease to form the two dividers 41 and 42 that are stacked together. The crease of the divider member 4 forms the lower edge of each divider 41 and 42. A square-shaped cut is made in the center near the crease, and a joint piece 43 that protrudes downward is formed when the divider member 4 is folded along the crease. The joint piece 43 is joined to the pocket member 3 by sewing, welding, or adhesive. In this embodiment, the joint piece 43 of the divider member 4 is welded to the pocket member 3.

The upper edges of each of the two partitions 41, 42 are formed with tabs 411, 421 that protrude upward.

As shown in Figs. 1 and 7, the file of this embodiment can be closed by folding the front cover 11 so that it faces the back cover 13, i.e., so that it wraps around the front side of the base 2. In this state, the base 2 and the pocket 3 and dividers 41, 42, which are the holding parts, and the paper sheets held in the holding parts 3, 41, 42 are covered by the cover member 1. In addition, the cover member 1 can be kept closed by using the flap 10 provided on the cover member 1. A magnet (or a metal plate that is attracted to a magnet) 101 is embedded in the flap 10 in advance, and a metal plate (or magnet) 113 is embedded in advance in the part of the front cover 11 that faces the flap 10, and the flap 10 is magnetically attached to the front cover 11 via them.

As shown in Figures 3 and 8, the file of this embodiment can also be used as a simple reading stand by setting the base 2 with the holding parts 3, 41, 42 in an upright position and reading the paper sheets held by the holding parts 3, 41, 42 in an upright position. To use the file of this embodiment as a reading stand, the cover member 1 of the file is unfolded and the back cover 13 is bent via the hinge 14, and a portion 131 of the back cover 13 is detached from the back surface of the base 2. The other portion 132 of the back cover 13 is sewn and attached by seams 17 and 18, and therefore does not detach from the base 2.

Then, the spine 12 and front cover 11 are bent via the hinge 14, and a portion 111 of the front cover 11 is inserted between the back cover 13 and the base 2 and abuts against the back surface of the base 2. The other portion 112 of the front cover 11 that does not abut against the back surface of the base 2 becomes the base, i.e., the contact surface.

When the base 2 is supported in an upright position, the stitching 18 attached to the back side of the base 2 on the back cover 13 is biased upward from the vertical middle 6 of the upright base 2. Furthermore, the tip of the portion 111 of the front cover 11 that abuts against the back side of the base 2 is inserted above the vertical middle 6 of the upright base 2. In this state, due to the elastic force and restoring force exerted by the cover member 1 (particularly the inner resin sheet 16) that tries to return from a bent state to a flat state, a restoring force 5 acts on the portion 111 of the front cover 11 that abuts against the back side of the base 2, pressing the base 2 toward the front side.

Incidentally, a metal plate (or magnet) 133 is embedded in the front cover 13 at the location facing the flap 10, and the flap 10 is magnetically attached to the back cover 13 via the metal plate (or magnet) 133.

In this embodiment, a file is provided with a base 2 having holding portions 3, 41, 42 for holding paper sheets, and a cover member 1 that is attached to the back side of the base 2 and folded around the front side of the base 2. The portions 111, 112, 12, 131 of the cover member 1 that are not attached to the back side of the base 2 are bent, and a portion 111 is inserted between the cover member 1 and the base 2 and abuts against the back side of the base 2, thereby supporting the base 2 in an upright position. According to this embodiment, the file can be used as a simple reading stand, and in this case, the base 2 can be supported using only a portion 112 of the front cover 11 as the contact surface, rather than the entire width of the front cover 11, as the contact surface, so that it does not occupy a large space along the depth direction on a desk, etc.

The cover member 1 has a back cover 13 attached to the back side of the base 2 and a front cover 11 overlapping the front side of the base 2, and at least a portion 131 of the back cover 13 is separated from the back side of the base 2 and at least a portion 111 of the front cover 11 is abutted against the back side of the base 2, thereby supporting the base 2 in an upright position.

The front cover 11 is provided with a hinge 14 that serves as a fold when bending the cover member 1. When supporting the base 2 in an upright position, a portion 111 of the front cover 11 bent via the hinge 14 is brought into contact with the back surface of the base 2, and the remaining portion 112 serves as the contact surface.

When the base 2 is supported in an upright position, a restoring force 5 acts on a portion 111 of the cover member 1 that abuts against the back surface of the base 2, elastically pressing the base 2 toward the front surface. This means that the portion 111 is in close contact with the back surface of the base 2 and does not easily slip out and collapse, allowing the base 2 to continue to be stably supported.

Because the base 2 is an elastically deformable thin plate, when the base 2 is in an upright position, it becomes easier to insert or remove the portion 111 of the front cover 11 between the back cover 13 and the base 2. In addition, due to the characteristics of the PP board, a repulsive force is generated in response to elastic deformation, which causes the portion 111 of the front cover 11 to be inserted to adhere closely to the portion 111, making it more difficult to remove, and therefore making it more difficult for the base 2 in an upright position to tip over.

When the base 2 is supported in an upright position, the portion 18 of the cover member 1 attached to the back side of the base 2 is biased above the vertical middle 6 of the upright base 2, and the tip of the portion 111 of the cover member 1 that abuts against the back side of the base 2 is inserted above the vertical middle 6 of the upright base 2, so that the elastic restoring force of the cover member 1 (particularly the front cover 11) makes it difficult for the base 2 to rotate so as to fall over on its back, making the structure supporting the upright base 2 even more stable.

In addition, in this embodiment, the file is capable of displaying paper sheets in an upright position, and in the lower portion of the file in this position, a pocket 3 is provided that is closed on one of the two outer sides (the right side) and on the bottom, and is open on the other outer side (the left side) and on the top.

More specifically, the device comprises a base 2 having holding sections 3, 41, 42 for holding paper sheets, and a support (cover member) 1 capable of supporting the base 2 in an upright position. On the surface side of the base 2 that is exposed when the base 2 is in an upright position, a pocket 3 is provided as the holding sections 3, 41, 42, which is closed on one of the two outer sides (right side) and on the lower side of the upright base 2, and is open on the other outer side (left side) and on the upper side.

According to this embodiment, it can be used as a simple reading stand for reading paper sheets in an upright position, and a highly convenient file can be provided that allows easy insertion and removal of paper sheets. In addition, because the other side (left side) of pocket 3 is open, even paper sheets that are too large to fit inside pocket 3 can be held and displayed in pocket 3.

When the base 2 is in an upright position, a gusset 31 is formed at one end of both outer sides of the pocket 3, making it possible for the pocket 3 to hold a certain number of sheets of paper or other items.

When the base 2 is in an upright position, the upper edge 34 of the pocket is inclined so as to gradually descend from one of the two outer sides to the other (left), making it easier to insert and remove paper sheets from the pocket 3. In addition, due to this shape, the corner where the upper edge 34 of the pocket member 3 and the edge 35 on the other side intersect does not sag under its own weight in the upright position.

When the base 2 is in an upright position, the other edge (left edge) 35 of both outer sides of the pocket 3 is retracted inward (to the right) from the edge on the same side (left) of the file (base 2), so the other edge 35 of the pocket 3, which is the open end, is protected by the file (base 2) and is less likely to be damaged.

Dividers 41 and 42 are provided inside the pocket 3, i.e., between the surface of the base 2 and the pocket 3, so that it is possible to separate and store paper sheets between the pocket 3 and the divider 41, between the multiple dividers 41 and 42, or between the divider 42 and the base 2.

When the base 2 is in an upright position, the upper edges of the partitions 41, 42 are formed with tabs 411, 421 that protrude upward, so that the partitions 41, 42 can be turned by hooking the fingers on the tabs 411, 421, making it easy to insert and remove paper sheets in front of and behind the partitions 41, 42.

The present invention is not limited to the embodiment described above. For example, the holding portion to be provided on the base 2 is not limited to the pocket 3 and the dividers 41, 42 as in this embodiment, but may be something that can hold paper sheets so that they do not fall out of the base 2 (especially on the front side of the base 2), such as a binder for various files or a clip for a paper clip.

In addition, a gusset may be formed at the lower end of the pocket 3 when the base 2 is in an upright position.

A base having a holder for holding paper sheets;
a cover member attached to the back side of the base and folded so as to wrap around the front side of the base;
