Description
The present invention relates to a photoelectric switch and a sensor unit.
Products (workpieces) produced in a factory are transported by a transport device such as a belt conveyor, and their arrival at a designated location is detected by a photoelectric switch. A photoelectric switch generally projects light toward a workpiece, receives the light reflected from the workpiece, and displays a numerical value indicating the amount of light received and a threshold value with which this numerical value is compared on a seven-segment display (Patent Document 1). When the photoelectric switch detects a workpiece based on the amount of light received and the threshold value, it outputs an ON signal indicating detection.
In this way, the photoelectric switch is a relatively simple sensor that outputs a detection signal indicating whether or not a workpiece is being detected. Therefore, 7-segment displays have been adopted as display devices for many years. There are still some photoelectric switches that do not have a numerical display. However, in recent years, as photoelectric switches have become more sophisticated, seven segment displays have become unable to provide sufficient information to users. Therefore, the inventor of the present application considered adopting a dot matrix display such as an OLED (organic light emitting diode). A dot matrix display has a large number of wires (gate wires, signal wires, power wires, and ground wires), and displays information by turning on/off semiconductor switches placed at the intersections of these wires. A large number of wires are connected to the controller via FPC cables. The problem here is the shape of the photoelectric switch's housing. In a factory, a large number of photoelectric switches are connected and attached to a DIN (German Standards Institute) rail, so the shape of the photoelectric switch is elongated and approximately rectangular parallelepiped. Therefore, the top surface of the photoelectric switch to which the display is attached is also long and narrow. This limits the length of the display in the lateral direction. As described above, since the dot matrix display has a large number of wiring lines, it is difficult to secure a sufficient display area unless the connection positions of these wiring lines and FPC (flexible printed circuit board) cables are carefully determined.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a signal cable connection structure that can secure a sufficient display area for a display in a photoelectric switch.

An embodiment of the present invention is shown below. The individual embodiments described below will be helpful in understanding various concepts such as general concepts, intermediate concepts, and sub-concepts of the present invention. Further, the technical scope of the present invention is determined by the claims, and is not limited by the following individual embodiments.

A
Figure 3 is an exploded view of the
FIG. 4(A) is a perspective view of the
Note that, as can be seen from FIG. 4A and the like, the height of the
シールド部材50はFPC(フレキシブルプリント回路基板)によって形成されていてもよい。
FIG. 5 is a perspective view for explaining the
Figure 6 (A) is a plan view showing the top surface of the
FIG. 6(B) shows the left side surface of the
FIG. 6(D) shows the
<Signal cable layout for display unit>
FIG. 7A shows the right side of the
FIG. 7(B) shows that the
FIG. 7C shows that the
In this way, the

<まとめ>

As described with reference to FIG. 1 and the like, the
The display unit may have a dot matrix display and a drive circuit for driving the dot matrix display. The
As shown in FIG. 11(B) and FIG. 11(C), the

According to the invention, an
As described with reference to Figures 8(A) to 8(E), the first surface (top surface) of the
As shown in FIG. 5 and the like, a
As shown in FIG. 5, the

As shown in FIG. 13, the length of the short side of the first surface of the
As shown in FIG. 10, the
As shown in FIGS. 10 and 11(B), the FPC cable may be bent at at least one place. Furthermore, a portion of the

As shown in FIG. 1 and other figures, the

As shown in FIG. 7A, the
As shown in FIG. 13, the thickness of the
