Claims (18)
- 装置であって、
細長い医療器具を検出デバイスの検出範囲に隣接する位置に搬送するように構成されたシースの端部に位置決め可能なシース先端部を含み、前記医療器具が、前記シースとは独立して移動可能であり、
前記シース先端部が、細長い遠位部材を含み、前記遠位部材が、前記シース先端部と一体的に形成されたまたは前記シース先端部に固定的に取り付けられた可撓性材料で形成され、遠位端の淵部を越えて所定距離だけ延伸し、前記淵部が、開口部を囲み、細長い前記医療器具が、前記開口部を通って前記シースの前記遠位端から出て、
細長い前記遠位部材が、前記シースの前記遠位端及び細長い前記医療器具のいずれも前記検出デバイスの前記検出範囲内に延在していなくても、前記検出デバイスによって検出可能である、装置。 - 前記シース先端部が、前記シースの一体的なセクションであり、前記シース先端部が、前記シースの前記遠位端に配設されている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記シース先端部が、前記シースの前記遠位端に取設されるように構成された別個の構造体である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記シース先端部が、前記シースの内腔内に受容されるように構成されたシースインサートにおいて、前記シースの前記端部に物理的に連結されるように構成されている、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記検出デバイスが、挿入デバイスの端部にある、及び端部に隣接している、のうちの一方であり、前記挿入デバイスが、前記シースが軸に沿って表面に向かって延伸されるように構成されている第1の側面を有する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記遠位部材が、変形可能であり、前記表面によって、前記軸から離れて前記検出デバイスの前記検出範囲内に偏倚されるように構成されている、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記シースが、前記細長い医療デバイスを前記表面に向かって延伸させるように構成された内腔を画定し、前記シース先端部が、前記内腔を前記シース先端部の遠位端に向かって延伸させるように構成されている、請求項6に記載の装置。
- 前記シース先端部が、開口部を画定し、それを通って、前記細長い医療デバイスは、前記遠位部材が前記表面によって偏倚されるとき、前記軸に沿って前記表面に向かって延伸する、請求項7に記載の装置。
- 前記遠位部材が、前記シースが延伸されるように構成された、前記挿入デバイスの前記第1の側面に隣接した前記シース先端部の近位側から延伸する、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記遠位部材が、前記シースの前記端部を越えて前記所定距離だけ延伸する少なくとも1つの長手方向突出部を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記シース先端部が変形可能であるように構成されている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記シース先端部が、前記シースの第2の厚さ未満である第1の厚さ、及び前記シースの第2の剛性未満である第1の剛性から選択される少なくとも1つの特性を有する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- システムであって、
内部に内腔を画定し、表面に向かって延伸可能な端部を有して構成されたシースと、
前記シース内の前記内腔を通して搬送されるように構成され、前記シースとは独立して移動可能である細長い医療器具と、
軸に沿って所望の位置まで前記シースを搬送するように構成された挿入制御システムであって、
前記挿入制御システムの端部にある、及び端部に隣接している、のうちの一方で配設され、検出範囲を有する検出デバイスと、
前記シースが、軸に沿って表面に向かって延伸されるように構成されている、第1の側面と、
を含む、挿入制御システムと、
前記細長い医療器具が所望の位置に到達したときに、前記細長い医療器具の動作を指向するように構成された器具制御システムと、
前記シースの遠位端に位置決め可能なシース先端部と、
を含み、
前記シース先端部が、プラスチックで形成された細長い遠位部材を有し、
前記遠位部材が、当該シース先端部と一体的に形成されまたは当該シース先端部に固定的に取り付けられ、前記遠位端の淵部を越えて所定距離だけ延伸し、
前記淵部が、開口部を囲み、細長い前記医療器具が、前記開口部を通って前記シースの前記遠位端から出て、
細長い前記遠位部材が、前記シースの前記遠位端及び細長い前記医療器具のいずれかも前記検出デバイスの前記検出範囲内に延在しなくても、前記検出デバイスによって検出可能である、システム。 - 前記シース先端部が、
シース本体の遠位端に配設された前記シースの一体的なセクション、及び
前記シースの前記遠位端に取設されるように構成された別個の構造体のうちの一方である、請求項13に記載のシステム。 - 前記遠位部材が、変形可能であり、前記表面によって、前記軸から離れて前記検出デバイスの前記検出範囲内に偏倚されるように構成されている、請求項13に記載のシステム。
- 前記シースが、前記細長い医療デバイスを前記表面に向かって延伸させるように構成された内腔を画定し、前記シース先端部が、前記内腔を前記シース先端部の遠位端に向かって延伸させるように構成され、前記シース先端部が、開口部を画定し、それを通って、前記細長い医療デバイスは、前記遠位部材が前記表面によって偏倚されるとき、前記軸に沿って前記表面に向かって延伸する、請求項13に記載のシステム。
- 前記遠位部材が、前記シースが延伸されるように構成された、挿入デバイスの前記第1の側面に隣接する前記シース先端部の近位側から延伸する、請求項13に記載のシステム。
- 前記遠位部材が、前記シースの前記端部を越えて前記所定距離だけ延伸する少なくとも1つの長手方向突出部を含む、請求項13に記載のシステム。
