Description
まず、図1~図6を参照して、一実施形態に係る人工関節用ステム100および人工関節用ステム101の構成を説明する。人工関節用ステム100および人工関節用ステム101は、本実施形態に係る人工関節用ステムの一例であり、人工関節用ステム100と人工関節用ステム101とでは、人工関節用ステムの外表面における粗面、および表面に配されている被膜の領域が異なる。図1は、人工関節用ステム100を示す模式図であり、図2は人工関節用ステム100から被膜20を取り除き、粗面21が見える状態を示す図である。図1に示すように、人工関節用ステム100は、基体10と、基体10上に位置する被膜20と、を備える。被膜20は、リン酸カルシウム系材料および抗菌材料を含む。リン酸カルシウム系材料は、骨への固着性を向上させる効果がある。また、抗菌材料は、細菌の付着および増殖を低減させる効果がある。
一実施形態に係る人工関節用ステムの製造方法は、準備工程と、粗面化工程と、被膜形成工程とを含む。準備工程は、第1領域および第2領域と、第1領域の少なくとも一部と重複した粗面化領域を含む表面を有する基体10を準備する。基体10を準備した後、粗面化工程は、準備した基体10の粗面化領域に対し粗面を形成する工程である。被膜形成工程は、前記基体10上の第1領域に、リン酸カルシウム系材料と抗菌材料とを含む被膜20を形成する工程である。なお、第1領域の少なくとも一部および粗面化領域の一部は、重複させる。これによって、粗面上に被膜20を形成することになり、粗面の一部が被膜20から露出することになる。
人工関節用ステム100(101)は、主に人工股関節用ステムを想定した形状であるが、本開示に係る人工関節用ステムが適用される人工関節は人工股関節に限定されない。人工関節としては、例えば人工股関節、人工膝関節、人工足関節、人工肩関節、人工肘関節および人工指関節等が挙げられる。

Claims (19)
- 粗面を含む外表面を有する基体と、
前記基体の前記粗面上に配された、リン酸カルシウム系材料と抗菌材料とを含む被膜とを備え、
前記粗面は、前記被膜から露出している露出領域を有しており、
人工関節用ステムが使用されるときの人体における遠位側を下方向とした場合に、前記露出領域は、前記被膜の下端側に位置している、人工関節用ステム。 - 前記粗面の前記露出領域の表面粗さは、前記被膜の表面粗さよりも大きい、請求項1に記載の人工関節用ステム。
- 前記粗面全体のうち、前記露出領域は、前記粗面の前記被膜が配されている領域よりも小さい、請求項1又は2に記載の人工関節用ステム。
- 前記人工関節用ステムが使用されるときの人体における近位側を上方向とした場合に、
前記基体は、上下に延びており、
前記露出領域は、前記被膜の下端側のみに位置している、請求項1~3のいずれか1つに記載の人工関節用ステム。 - 前記被膜の縁は、前記粗面の縁に沿っている、請求項1~4のいずれか1つに記載の人工関節用ステム。
- 前記被膜の縁は、前記粗面の縁と非平行である、請求項1~5のいずれか1つに記載の人工関節用ステム。
- 前記被膜は、前記粗面および前記粗面と異なる前記外表面を跨いで位置した被覆領域を有している、請求項1~6のいずれか1つに記載の人工関節用ステム。
- 前記人工関節用ステムが使用されるときの人体における近位側を上方向とした場合に、
前記被覆領域は、前記基体の下端側に位置している、請求項7に記載の人工関節用ステム。 - 前記粗面と異なる前記外表面において、
前記被覆領域が位置した前記外表面の表面粗さは、前記被覆領域から露出した領域の表面粗さよりも大きい、請求項7又は8に記載の人工関節用ステム。 - 前記基体は、前記基体の粗面となる表面を有する層状部材を有している、請求項1~9のいずれか1つに記載の人工関節用ステム。
- 前記層状部材の厚みは、前記被膜の厚みよりも大きい、請求項10に記載の人工関節用ステム。
- 前記被膜の表面に配された少なくとも1つの凹部を、さらに備える、請求項1~11のいずれか1つに記載の人工関節用ステム。
- 前記被膜の表面において、前記少なくとも1つの凹部が配された領域は、前記凹部が配されていない領域よりも小さい、請求項12に記載の人工関節用ステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの凹部は、少なくとも1つの溝を含む、請求項12又は13に記載の人工関節用ステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの溝は、一方の先端が前記露出領域に位置した第1溝を含む、請求項14に記載の人工関節用ステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの溝は、両端が前記被膜上に位置した第2溝を含む、請求項14または15に記載の人工関節用ステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの凹部は、互いに非連続に配置された複数の凹部である、請求項14~16のいずれか1つに記載の人工関節用ステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの凹部は、底部が多角形状の平面形状を有する、請求項12又は13に記載の人工関節用ステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの凹部は、該凹部の縁の異なる2点を結んだ直線の一方向に沿って深さが大きくなる、請求項12又は13に記載の人工関節用ステム。
