Claims (16)
- 複数のアンテナ素子を有する基地局側の通信装置であって、
同一時間帯かつ同一周波数帯域で送信するための複数の送信ストリームを生成し、前記複数の送信ストリームに重み付けを施す信号処理部と、
前記重み付けにより得られた複数の送信信号を、複数のサブフレームのうちの一つを用いて前記複数のアンテナ素子から1以上の端末へ送信し、前記複数の送信信号の送信電力の総和は、同時に送信される送信信号の数に関わらず、閾値以下である、送信部と、
を具備し、
同一時間帯及び同一周波数帯で同時送信可能な送信信号の数は、前記1以上の端末の各端末が所属する、前記通信装置の通信可能範囲に応じて異なるように設定されている、
通信装置。 - 前記送信部は、前記複数の送信信号を指向性送信によって送信する、
請求項1に記載の通信装置。 - 前記通信可能範囲が小さくなるにつれ、1つのフレーム内で前記通信装置が同時通信可能な最大送信信号数は大きくなる、
請求項1又は2に記載の通信装置。 - 前記通信可能範囲が小さくなるにつれ、1つのサブフレーム内で前記通信装置が同時通信可能な最大送信信号数は大きくなる、
請求項1又は2に記載の通信装置。 - 前記通信可能範囲の外縁は、前記通信装置からの距離により定義される、
請求項1ないし4いずれか一項に記載の通信装置。 - 第1の送信信号数は、第1の通信可能範囲において同一時間帯及び同一周波数帯で同時送信可能な最大の送信ビーム数であり、
第2の送信信号数は、第2の通信可能範囲のうち、前記第1の通信可能範囲を除く領域において同一時間帯及び同一周波数帯で同時送信可能な最大の送信ビーム数であり、
前記第1の送信信号数は、前記第2の送信信号数よりも大きい、
請求項1ないし5いずれか一項に記載の通信装置。 - 第3の送信信号数は、第3の通信可能範囲のうち、前記第2の通信可能範囲を除く領域において同一時間帯及び同一周波数帯で同時送信可能な最大の送信ビーム数であり、
前記第2の送信信号数は、前記第3の送信信号数よりも大きい、
請求項6に記載の通信装置。 - 前記通信可能範囲は、前記通信装置が所定の数の送信信号を送信した場合の通信可能な限界位置を示すものである、
請求項1ないし7いずれか一項に記載の通信装置。 - 複数のアンテナ素子を有する基地局側の通信装置のための通信方法であって、
同一時間帯かつ同一周波数帯域で送信するための複数の送信ストリームを生成し、前記複数の送信ストリームに重み付けを施し、
前記重み付けにより得られた複数の送信信号を、複数のサブフレームのうちの一つを用いて前記複数のアンテナ素子から1以上の端末へ送信し、前記複数の送信信号の送信電力の総和は、同時に送信される送信信号の数に関わらず、閾値以下であり、
同一時間帯及び同一周波数帯で同時送信可能な送信信号の数は、前記1以上の端末の各端末が所属する、前記通信装置の通信可能範囲に応じて異なるように設定されている、
通信方法。 - 前記複数の送信信号は指向性送信によって送信される、
請求項9に記載の通信方法。 - 前記通信可能範囲が小さくなるにつれ、1つのフレーム内で前記通信装置が同時通信可能な最大送信信号数は大きくなる、

請求項9ないし13いずれか一項に記載の通信方法。 - 第3の送信信号数は、第3の通信可能範囲のうち、前記第2の通信可能範囲を除く領域において同一時間帯及び同一周波数帯で同時送信可能な最大の送信ビーム数であり、
前記第2の送信信号数は、前記第3の送信信号数よりも大きい、
請求項14に記載の通信方法。 - 前記通信可能範囲は、前記通信装置が所定の数の送信信号を送信した場合の通信可能な限界位置を示すものである、
