代替的に又は上述した実施形態のいずれかに加えて、少なくとも1つのニットフィラメントは、単一のニットフィラメントのみである。
代替的に又は上述した実施形態のいずれかに加えて、細長い管状部材は、単一のフィラメントのみから形成される。

上述したステント100を形成する工程は、ワイヤ124を手動で巻き付け、ループ130を相互接続することを含むが、この工程は自動化され得ることが理解されるであろう。例えば、ステント100の製造は、張力をかけられた担持体及び回転ドライブを使用して自動化され得る。さらに、ワイヤ124が図18に示されるパターンでマンドレルアセンブリに容易に供給され得るように、ロボットアームもまた、ネジ付マンドレル82に適用される回転ドライブと組み合わせて使用し得る。
Claims (15)
- 長手方向軸を有する細長い管状部材を備え、該細長い管状部材は、少なくとも1つのニットフィラメントを備え、該ニットフィラメントは、桟を備えた複数の捩じれた編みステッチを形成し、該桟は、半径方向に隣接する捩じれた編みステッチの間に円周方向に延びており、各捩じれた編みステッチは、一連のリンクされたステッチを形成する長手方向に隣接された捩じれた編みステッチと相互接続されており、前記細長い管状部材は半径方向に潰れた態様と半径方向に拡張した態様との間で移行するように構成されており、
前記潰れた態様において、一連のリンクされたステッチは長手方向の列を形成するとともに、拡張した態様において、一連のリンクされたステッチは前記細長い管状部材の周りに螺旋状に延びる、ステント。 - 前記潰れた態様における前記桟の長さは、前記拡張した態様における前記桟の長さよりも短い、請求項1に記載のステント。
- 前記複数の捩じれた編みステッチのそれぞれが、ループ部分と、交差したベース部分とを含む、請求項1又は2に記載のステント。
- 各ループ部分が、前記拡張した態様にあるとき、1mm以上5mm以下の直径を有する、請求項3に記載のステント。
- 前記拡張した態様にあるとき、前記桟はそれぞれ、0.1mm以上10mm以下の長さを有する、請求項4に記載のステント。
- 前記捩じれた編みステッチの少なくともいくつかのループ部分が、長手方向に隣接する捩じれた編みステッチの前記交差したベース部分の周りに巻き付けられる、請求項3に記載のステント。
- 前記拡張した態様において、前記桟が前記細長い管状部材の外面を画定するとともに、各捩じれた編みステッチの前記交差したベース部分が外面から半径方向外向きに延びる、請求項6に記載のステント。
- 前記交差したベース部分が、前記拡張した態様における前記細長い管状部材の周りに螺旋状に延びる隆起したリッジを形成する、請求項7に記載のステント。
- 前記隆起したリッジは、前記細長い管状部材の近位端に臨む第1のスロープと、クレストと、前記細長い管状部材の遠位端に臨むポケットとを備えた長手方向断面波形を有し、体管腔内に挿入された場合、前記隆起したリッジは遠位方向においては移動に抗する一方、近位方向においては移動を許容する、請求項8に記載のステント。
- 前記クレストは、0.5mm以上5.0mm以下で前記細長い管状部材の外面から突出する、請求項9に記載のステント。
- 前記細長い管状部材の近位端にある前記捩じれた編みステッチの前記ループ部分に通された縫合糸をさらに備える、請求項3に記載のステント。
- 前記細長い管状部材が遠位端領域と近位端領域とを有し、前記遠位端領域と前記近位端領域の少なくとも1つがフレア状である、請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載のステント。
- 前記少なくとも1つのニットフィラメントが単一のニットフィラメントのみである、請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載のステント。
- 前記細長い管状部材が、前記潰れた態様においては第1の長手方向長さを有し、前記拡張した態様においては第2の長手方向長さを有し、前記第2の長手方向長さが前記第1の長手方向長さよりも短い、請求項1から13のいずれか一項に記載のステント。
- 複数のネジ付マンドレルを中央マンドレルに取り付け、前記ネジ付マンドレルは、前記中央マンドレルに対し平行に、かつ、前記中央マンドレルの円周の周りに離間されて整列しており、
第1の円周方向ループを形成する第1のネジ付マンドレルの周りに形状記憶フィラメントを巻き付け、
前記形状記憶フィラメントを、前記第1のネジ付マンドレルに隣接する第2のネジ付マンドレルまで円周方向に延ばし、かつ、第2の円周方向ループを形成する前記第2のネジ付マンドレルの周りに前記形状記憶フィラメントを巻き付け、
前記形状記憶フィラメントを円周方向に延ばすとともに、連続して隣接するネジ付マンドレルの周りに前記形状記憶フィラメントを巻付けて、追加のループを形成し、
前記形状記憶フィラメントが延ばされて第1のネジ付マンドレルに戻ると、前記形状記憶フィラメントは長手方向に移動されるとともに、追加のループを形成するために、再び前記形状記憶フィラメントを前記第1のネジ付マンドレルの周りに巻き付け、
各ネジ付マンドレルの周りの円周方向への前記形状記憶フィラメントの延伸と巻き付けとを継続し、前記ネジ付マンドレルに沿って長手方向に移動し、それによって各ネジ付マンドレル上に一連の長手方向に離間したループを形成し、
前記形状記憶フィラメントをヒートセットし、
前記ネジ付マンドレルを取り外し、
前記第1の円周方向ループから始めて、ステントを形成するために、各円周方向ループを前記中央マンドレルに沿って長手方向に隣接するループに通して引っ張り、
