Description
本願は、「SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR TILED MULTI-MONOCHROMATIC DISPLAYS」と題され、2018年10月10日に出願された米国特許非仮出願第16/156,452号、「SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR TILED MULTI-MONOCHROMATIC DISPLAYS」と題され、2018年1月22日に出願された米国特許仮出願第62/620,432号、「SYSTEMS, APPARATUSES, AND METHODS FOR MONOCHROMATIC DISPLAY WAVEGUIDES」と題され、2018年1月22日に出願された米国特許仮出願第62/620,434号、並びに、「SYSTEMS, APPARATUSES, AND METHODS FOR COMPONENT MOVEMENT IN MONOCHROMATIC DISPLAY DEVICES」と題され、2018年1月22日に出願された米国特許仮出願第62/620,435号、の優先権および利益を主張する。これらの出願の全内容は、参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。

Claims (7)
- ディスプレイシステムであって、該ディスプレイシステムは、
第1の色の第1の画像を生成するために2次元構成で配置された前記第1の色の複数のエミッタを有する第1の単色エミッタアレイと、
第2の色の第2の画像を生成するために2次元構成で配置された前記第2の色の複数のエミッタを有する第2の単色エミッタアレイと、
導波路構成であって、
前記第1の色の第1の画像を第1の導波路部材本体にカップリングするよう寸法決めされた第1のカップリング素子を含む第1の導波路部材、
前記第2の色の第2の画像を第2の導波路部材本体にカップリングするため、前記第1のカップリング素子とは異なるよう寸法決めされた第2のカップリング素子を含む第2の導波路部材、ここで、前記第1の導波路部材本体および前記第2の導波路部材本体は、前記導波路構成内でカップリングされた前記第1の画像および前記第2の画像を横方向に伝搬するように構成されており、ならびに、
横方向に伝搬された前記第1の画像および前記第2の画像を投影画像としてアイボックスに向けて投影するように構成された少なくとも1つのデカップリング素子、
を備える導波路構成と、
を備え、
前記第1の導波路部材本体および前記第2の導波路部材本体は、前記投影画像が前記第1および第2の色とは異なる少なくとも1つの色を含むように、前記第1の単色エミッタアレイからの前記第1の色の前記第1の画像と、前記第2の単色エミッタアレイからの前記第2の色の前記第2の画像とを組み合わせるように構成されている、
ディスプレイシステム。 - 2次元構成で配置された第3の色の複数のエミッタを有する第3の単色エミッタアレイをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のディスプレイシステム。
- 前記第1の導波路部材本体および前記第2の導波路部材本体は、
前記第1の単色エミッタアレイからの前記第1の色の前記第1の画像と、
前記第2の単色エミッタアレイからの前記第2の色の前記第2の画像と、
第3の単色エミッタアレイからの第3の色の第3の画像とを、前記投影画像へと組み合わせ、前記投影画像は、前記第1の色、前記第2の色、および前記第3の色とは異なる少なくとも1つの色を含む、請求項1又は2に記載のディスプレイシステム。 - 前記第1の導波路部材は、前記第1の色の光を、前記第2の導波路部材本体を通して、前記投影画像の一部としてビューイングアイボックスに導くデカップリング素子を含む、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイシステム。
- 第1の単色エミッタアレイからの第1の単色画像の放出を導波路構成の第1のカップリング素子に向けて導くこと、ここで前記第1のカップリング素子は、前記第1の単色画像を第1の導波路部材本体にカップリングするよう寸法決めされたものであり、
第2の単色エミッタアレイからの第2の単色画像の放出を前記導波路構成の第2のカップリング素子に向けて導くこと、ここで前記第2のカップリング素子は、前記第2の単色画像を第2の導波路部材本体にカップリングするため、前記第1のカップリング素子とは異なるよう寸法決めされたものであり、かつ前記第1の導波路部材本体および前記第2の導波路部材本体は、前記導波路構成内でカップリングされた前記第1の単色画像および前記第2の単色画像を横方向に伝搬するように構成されており、ならびに
横方向に伝搬された前記第1の単色画像および前記第2の単色画像を投影画像としてアイボックスに向けて投影すること、
を含み、これによって、前記導波路構成における前記第1の単色画像と前記第2の単色画像との組み合わせから生じる多色画像が、前記導波路構成のデカップリング素子から投影され、
前記第1の導波路部材本体および前記第2の導波路部材本体は、前記投影画像が前記第1および第2の単色とは異なる少なくとも1つの色を含むように、前記第1の単色画像と、前記第2の単色画像とを組み合わせるように構成されている、方法。 - 前記第1のカップリング素子は、前記導波路構成の第1の表面と、該第1の表面に対向して配置された前記導波路構成の第2の表面とのうちの1つで、放出された前記第1の単色画像を受け取り、
前記デカップリング素子は、前記多色画像を、前記導波路構成の前記第2の表面からアイボックスに向けて投影する、請求項5に記載の方法。 - 処理デバイスによって実行されると、該処理デバイスに動作を実行させる命令を内部に記憶させたコンピュータ可読媒体であって、前記動作は、
第1の単色エミッタアレイからの第1の単色画像の放出を導波路構成の第1のカップリング素子に向けて導くこと、ここで前記第1のカップリング素子は、前記第1の単色画像を第1の導波路部材本体にカップリングするよう寸法決めされたものであり、
第2の単色エミッタアレイからの第2の単色画像の放出を前記導波路構成の第2のカップリング素子に向けて導くこと、ここで前記第2のカップリング素子は、前記第2の単色画像を第2の導波路部材本体にカップリングするため、前記第1のカップリング素子とは異なるよう寸法決めされたものであり、かつ前記第1の導波路部材本体および前記第2の導波路部材本体は、前記導波路構成内でカップリングされた前記第1の単色画像および前記第2の単色画像を横方向に伝搬するように構成されており、ならびに
横方向に伝搬された前記第1の単色画像および前記第2の単色画像を投影画像としてアイボックスに向けて投影すること、
を含み、これによって、前記導波路構成における前記第1の単色画像と前記第2の単色画像との組み合わせから生じる多色画像が、前記導波路構成のデカップリング素子から投影され、
前記第1の導波路部材本体および前記第2の導波路部材本体は、前記投影画像が前記第1および第2の単色とは異なる少なくとも1つの色を含むように、前記第1の単色画像と、前記第2の単色画像とを組み合わせるように構成されている、コンピュータ可読媒体。
