[Operation of snow cornice prevention device]
The operation of the snow cornice prevention device 10 of the first embodiment will be described below. The snow cornice prevention device 10 of Example 1 is attached to the periphery of the roof 5 . The snow cornice prevention device 10 includes a snow receiving portion 20 formed by horizontal members 21 arranged vertically at intervals, a holding member 30 holding the snow receiving portion 20, and supporting the holding member 30. a base fixed to the roof 5 (FIG. 3).

A gap can be formed between the horizontal members 21 by arranging the horizontal members 21 side by side in the vertical direction at intervals. Therefore, the wind can pass through the gaps between the horizontal members 21 when the wind and snow blow in the horizontal direction. As a result, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of snow cornices while minimizing the influence of the wind.

In addition, since the horizontal members 21 are arranged side by side at intervals, the amount of the horizontal members 21 used can be reduced. Therefore, the weight of the snow cornice prevention device 10 can be reduced.

In the snow cornice prevention device 10 of the first embodiment, the holding member 30 has a substantially triangular plate shape when viewed from the side and extends in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the horizontal members 21 are arranged ( FIG. 3 ).

As a result, the holding member 30 that connects the snow receiving portion 20 and the base portion can be formed as a single part while ensuring sufficient strength. Therefore, it is possible to secure sufficient strength while facilitating installation of the snow cornice prevention device 10 on the roof 5 .

In the snow cornice prevention device 10 of the first embodiment, a reinforcing member (upper reinforcing member 80) having an L-shaped cross section that bridges between the substantially triangular vertex portions 31d of the holding member 30 is provided (Fig. 10).

As a result, the sharp triangular vertex 31d of the holding member 30 can be covered with the L-shaped reinforcing member (upper reinforcing member 80). Therefore, the snow cornice prevention device 10 can have strength while ensuring safety.

In the snow cornice prevention device 10 of Embodiment 1, the base portion includes a plate-like portion 40 extending along the upper surface of the roof 5 (Fig. 8).

The plate-like portion 40 extending along the upper surface of the roof 5 can disperse the force applied to the root of the base portion. Therefore, overturning of the snow cornice prevention device 10 can be prevented.

In the snow cornice prevention device 10 of the first embodiment, a waterproof sheet 50 is attached to the plate-like portion 40 to cover the exposed surface of the plate-like portion (FIG. 8).

Thereby, the snow cornice prevention device 10 can be attached to the roof 5 while ensuring waterproofness.

In the snow cornice prevention device 10 of the first embodiment, the holding portion for holding the snow receiving portion 20 of the holding material 30 is formed to have a U-shaped cross section (FIG. 5).

As a result, one component can be attached to one surface of the U-shaped holding portion, and another component can be attached to the other surface. Therefore, it is possible to provide a mounting structure that allows a plurality of components to be mounted on one component.

In the snow cornice prevention device 10 of Embodiment 1, the roof 5 is a flat roof, and the horizontal member 21 is provided above the upper end of the parapet 6 provided on the flat roof (Fig. 3).

Thereby, a gap can be formed between the upper end of the parapet 6 and the cross member 21 . Therefore, it is possible to prevent dust such as dead leaves from accumulating on the snow cornice prevention device 10, and to prevent dust from clogging a drainage hole provided on the roof 5. Note that the shape of the parapet 6 is not limited to the above aspect. For example, as shown in FIG. 11, a mountain-shaped parapet 106 may be used.
