Claims (13)
- 対向配置された第1及び第2基材フィルム、及び前記第1及び第2基材フィルムの間に存在する光変調層を含む光学フィルムを有し、
前記第1及び第2基材フィルムの互いに対向する面には、それぞれ電極層が形成されており、
前記電極層は、前記光変調層に電界を印加できるように形成された第1領域と前記第1領域が前記電界を印加できるように前記電極層を外部電源と連結している領域を含む第2領域とを含み、
前記第2領域は、前記第1領域と電気的に連結されている領域Aと前記第1領域と電気的に連結されていない領域Bでパターン化されており、
第1基材フィルム上に形成された前記領域Aと第2基材フィルム上に形成された前記領域Aは互いに対向しないように配置され、
前記第1及び第2基材フィルムを互いに付着させているシーラントをさらに含み、前記シーラントは、前記第1及び第2基材フィルムの前記第1及び第2領域の境界に存在しつつ前記第1及び第2基材フィルムを付着させている、
前記電極層は、中央隔室、複数の周辺隔室、および少なくとも1つの通路構造を含み、
前記中央隔室は前記第1領域であり、
前記複数の周辺隔室は前記第2領域であり、前記複数の周辺隔室のうち前記中央隔室と前記通路構造を介して電気的に接続されている隔室が前記領域Aであり、前記中央隔室と電気的に接続されていない隔室が前記領域Bである、
光学デバイス。 - 第2領域は、第1領域を取り囲むように形成されている、
請求項1に記載の光学デバイス。 - 領域Aが外部電源と連結される、
請求項1または2に記載の光学デバイス。 - 光変調層は、液晶ホスト及び異方性染料ゲストを含み、少なくとも2種の互いに異なる配向状態の間をスイッチングし得る能動液晶層である、
請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の光学デバイス。 - 互いに異なる配向状態は、垂直配向状態と水平配向状態を含む、
請求項4に記載の光学デバイス。 - 線形偏光子をさらに含む、
請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の光学デバイス。 - 線形偏光子をさらに含み、
前記線形偏光子は、能動液晶層の水平配向状態の平均光軸と線形偏光子の光吸収軸が成す角度が80度~100度又は35度~55度の範囲内になるように配置されている、
請求項5に記載の光学デバイス。 - 第1及び第2基材フィルムの光変調層に向ける面上に存在する配向膜をさらに含む、
請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載の光学デバイス。 - 第1及び第2基材フィルム上の配向膜の配向方向が成す角度は、-10度~10度の範囲内又は80度~90度の範囲内である、
請求項8に記載の光学デバイス。 - 光学フィルムの少なくとも一側に配置された線形偏光子を含み、
前記光学フィルムは、第1及び第2基材フィルムの光変調層に向ける面上に存在する配向膜をさらに含み、前記第1及び第2基材フィルムのうち前記線形偏光子に近い基材フィルム上に形成された配向膜の配向方向と前記線形偏光子の光吸収軸が成す角度が80度~90度の範囲内である、
請求項1に記載の光学デバイス。 - 対向配置されている2枚の外郭基板をさらに含み、
光学フィルムは、前記外郭基板の間に存在する、
請求項1から10のいずれか1項に記載の光学デバイス。 - 光学フィルムは、2枚の外郭基板の間でカプセル化剤により全面がカプセル化されている、
請求項11に記載の光学デバイス。 - 一つ以上の開口部が形成されている車体、及び
前記開口部に装着された請求項1から12のいずれか1項に記載の光学デバイス
を含む、
