Description
酸価度については、上記式(1)に基づいて算出された。なお、各比較例には、共重合体13が含まれていないため、各比較例の「強化材の含有量(g)を100とした場合の酸価度」の欄は、ゼロである。
図3~図5に示されるように、この測定は、軸部20を挟持可能な挟持部材50と、トルクを測定可能な押圧具60と、を用いることにより行われた。具体的に、この測定は、歯間清掃具1のうち軸部20の先端から11mmまでの部位を挟持部材50によって挟持した状態で、押圧具60が回転軸Oを中心として回転速度20rpmで回転しながら、歯間清掃具1のうち軸部20の先端から35mm(前記回転軸Oから24mm)の部位(把持部30)を押圧することにより行われた。なお、図3に示されるように、押圧具60のうち歯間清掃具1を押圧する部位の幅は、5mmである。

図6において、トルクが生じ始めた角度(押圧具60が把持部30に接触したときの押
圧具60の角度)を0°とし、トルクのピーク値における角度を「しなり度」として評価
した。この角度をしなり度として評価可能である理由は、次のとおりである。すなわち、
歯間清掃具1で奥歯同士の歯間を清掃する際、軸部20は、奥歯同士の歯間に挿入された
状態で湾曲した形状となり、その状態から、軸部20のうち奥歯間に位置する部位が支点
となって軸部20が様々な方向に湾曲するように把持部30が操作される。このため、軸
部20が挟持部材50に挟持された状態で押圧具60により計測されたトルクのピーク値
における角度を、しなり度として評価した。

Claims (7)
- 歯間清掃具であって、
歯間に挿通されることが可能な形状を有する軸部を有する基部を含み、
前記基部は、ポリオレフィンと、ガラス繊維及び鱗片状ガラスからなる群から選択される少なくとも一種である強化材と、ポリオレフィン及び不飽和カルボン酸の無水物を構成単位とする共重合体と、を含む複合材料により形成されており、
前記複合材料における前記強化材の含有量に対する、前記複合材料における前記共重合体の含有量と前記共重合体の酸価との積の百分率は、35以上1500以下であり、
前記複合材料における前記強化材の含有量は、5重量%以上50重量%以下であり、
前記複合材料における前記共重合体の含有量は、0.5重量%以上7重量%以下であり、かつ、前記共重合体の酸価は、10以上55以下である、歯間清掃具。 - 請求項1に記載の歯間清掃具において、
前記ポリオレフィンは、ポリプロピレンである、歯間清掃具。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の歯間清掃具において、
前記不飽和カルボン酸の無水物は、無水マレイン酸である、歯間清掃具。 - 請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の歯間清掃具において、
前記複合材料における前記強化材の含有量に対する、前記複合材料における前記共重合体の含有量と前記共重合体の酸価との積の百分率は、36.6以上1213.3以下である、歯間清掃具。 - 請求項4に記載の歯間清掃具において、
前記複合材料における前記強化材の含有量は、10重量%以上35重量%以下である、歯間清掃具。 - 請求項4又は5に記載の歯間清掃具において、
前記複合材料における前記共重合体の含有量は、1重量%以上7重量%以下であり、かつ、前記共重合体の酸価は、12.8以上52以下である、歯間清掃具。 - 請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載の歯間清掃具において、
エラストマーからなり、前記軸部の外周面を被覆するとともに前記歯間を清掃可能な清掃部をさらに備える、歯間清掃具。
