第一の長さを有し、プリーツ外側先端から前記中心縦軸に向かって、及びプリーツ内側先端まで半径方向に延びる2つの辺を有する主プリーツであって、前記主プリーツの前記プリーツ内側先端は、前記プリーツ外側先端から前記中心縦軸に向かう半径方向の距離の少なくとも75%の位置に配置される主プリーツと、
前記主プリーツから離間された副プリーツであって、プリーツ外側先端から前記中心縦軸に向かって、及びプリーツ内側先端まで半径方向に延びる2つの辺を含み、前記副プリーツの前記辺は前記主プリーツの前記辺の前記第一の長さより短い第二の長さを含むような副プリーツと、
前記主プリーツと前記副プリーツとの間に位置付けられ、前記主プリーツの前記辺の前記第一の長さと前記副プリーツの前記辺の前記第二の長さとの間の第三の長さを有する2つの辺を含む少なくとも1つの第一の中間プリーツを含む第一の中間プリーツ群であって、前記主プリーツから前記副プリーツへと長さが減少する前記第一の中間プリーツ群と、
前記副プリーツと、隣接するプリーツパターンの前記主プリーツとの間に位置付けられ、前記副プリーツの前記辺の前記第二の長さと前記隣接するプリーツパターンの前記主プリーツの前記辺の前記第一の長さとの間の第四の長さを有する2つの辺を含む少なくとも1つの第二の中間プリーツを含む第二の中間プリーツ群であって、前記副プリーツから前記隣接するプリーツパターンの前記主プリーツへと長さが増大する前記第二の中間プリーツ群と、

- 各プリーツパターンは、前記フィルタエレメントの高さに沿って延びる開放領域を画定する、請求項1または2に記載の円筒フィルタエレメント。
- 各プリーツパターンの前記開放領域は、前記副プリーツの前記プリーツ内側先端、前記中間プリーツの各々の内側先端、及び2つの隣接する主プリーツの一部により画定される、請求項3に記載の円筒フィルタエレメント。
- 円筒フィルタエレメントであって、
