第1の端部および第2の端部のそれぞれに近接する非繊維性液体輸送要素に開口部と、

電流が端子から端子に流されることができるように、開口部を通して膜の第1の端部と係合される正の電気端子と、開口部を通して膜の第2の端部と係合される負の電気端子とをさらに含む。

Claims (28)
- エアロゾル送達装置であって、
液体エアロゾル前駆体組成物を収容するソースと、
噴霧器であって、マイクロテクスチャ加工表面を横切る液体エアロゾル前駆体組成物の表面ウィッキングに適合されたマイクロテクスチャ加工表面を有する液体輸送要素を含み、液体輸送要素のマイクロテクスチャ加工表面が、ソースと流体連通している、噴霧器と、
を備え、
マイクロテクスチャ加工表面が、表面が複数の凹凸部分を含むように、外観上不連続である、マイクロメートルスケールでの表面形態の三次元特徴を含む、エアロゾル送達装置。 - 噴霧器が、液体輸送要素のマイクロテクスチャ加工表面上にパターン化された膜である電気抵抗加熱要素を備え、液体輸送要素のマイクロテクスチャ加工表面が、電気抵抗加熱要素と流体連通している、請求項1に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。
- 電気抵抗加熱要素が、マイクロテクスチャ加工表面上にパターン化された導電性インクの形態である、請求項2に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。
- 液体輸送要素が板状である、請求項2に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。
- マイクロテクスチャ加工表面上にパターン化された膜が、第1の端部から第2の端部まで延び、エアロゾル送達装置が、第1の端部および第2の端部のそれぞれに近接する液体輸送要素に開口部をさらに含み、電流が端子から端子に流されることができるように、開口部を通して膜の第1の端部と係合される正の電気端子と、開口部を通して膜の第2の端部と係合される負の電気端子とをさらに含む、請求項2に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。
- ソースと液体輸送要素との間の流路に介在された二次液体輸送要素をさらに含み、二次液体輸送要素が、ソースと流体連通し、液体輸送要素の少なくとも一部と流体連通している、請求項2に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。
- 液体輸送要素のマイクロテクスチャ加工表面が、電気抵抗加熱要素を含む加熱ゾーンと、電気抵抗加熱要素から間隔を空けた関係にある第2のゾーンとを含み、液体エアロゾル前駆体組成物のための流路が、二次液体輸送要素から第2のゾーンまで、および第2のゾーンからマイクロテクスチャ加工表面を横切って加熱ゾーンまで確立されるように、二次液体輸送要素が、第2のゾーンの少なくとも一部と流体連通する、請求項6に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。
- 液体輸送要素が、中央領域を囲む周縁部を有する板状であり、第2のゾーンが周縁部に近接して配置され、加熱ゾーンが中央領域の少なくとも一部を含む、請求項7に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。
- 二次液体輸送要素が繊維材料またはセラミック材料を含む、請求項6に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。
- 二次液体輸送要素がマイクロテクスチャ加工表面の少なくとも一部を覆っている、請求項6に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。
- 液体輸送要素を通る少なくとも1つの開口部をさらに含み、二次液体輸送要素の少なくとも一部が少なくとも1つの開口部を通過する、請求項10に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。
- マイクロテクスチャ加工表面上にパターン化された膜が、第1の端部から第2の端部まで延びる1つ以上の直線要素または曲線要素を含む、請求項2に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。
- マイクロテクスチャ加工表面を横切って輸送される液体エアロゾル前駆体組成物が電気抵抗加熱要素に直接接触しないように、電気抵抗加熱要素を覆う保護層をさらに含む、請求項2に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。
- ソースおよび噴霧器が、制御本体に取り付けるように適合されたカートリッジに収容され、制御本体が、動力源を含む、請求項1に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。
- 請求項1に記載のエアロゾル送達装置であって、
(a)電気抵抗加熱要素に電流を供給するように構成された電源、
(b)電源からの電流を制御するように適合されたコントローラ、および
(c)コントローラと通信し、エアロゾル送達装置またはその一部内の圧力低下を感知するように適合されたフローセンサ
のうちの1つ以上をさらに含む、エアロゾル送達装置。 - エアロゾル送達装置であって、
液体エアロゾル前駆体組成物を収容するリザーバと、
噴霧器にして、マイクロテクスチャ加工表面を横切る液体エアロゾル前駆体組成物の表面ウィッキングに適合されたマイクロテクスチャ加工表面を有する非繊維性液体輸送要素と、非繊維性液体輸送要素のマイクロテクスチャ加工表面上にパターン化された膜の形態の電気抵抗加熱要素と、を含む噴霧器であって、膜が第1の端部および第2の端部を有し、液体輸送要素のマイクロテクスチャ加工表面がリザーバと流体連通し、電気抵抗加熱要素と流体連通している、噴霧器と、
第1の端部および第2の端部のそれぞれに近接する非繊維性液体輸送要素に開口部を含み、開口部を通して膜の第1の端部と係合される正の電気端子と、開口部を通して膜の第2の端部と係合される負の電気端子とをさらに含み、電流が端子から端子に流されることができるようにし

- 非繊維性液体輸送要素のマイクロテクスチャ加工表面が、電気抵抗加熱要素を含む加熱ゾーンと、電気抵抗加熱要素から間隔を空けた関係にある第2のゾーンとを含み、液体エアロゾル前駆体組成物のための流路が、二次液体輸送要素から第2のゾーンまで、および第2のゾーンからマイクロテクスチャ加工表面を横切って加熱ゾーンまで確立されるように、二次液体輸送要素が、第2のゾーンの少なくとも一部と流体連通する、請求項18に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。
- 非繊維性液体輸送要素が、中央領域を囲む周縁部を有する板状であり、第2のゾーンが周縁部に近接して配置され、加熱ゾーンが中央領域の少なくとも一部を含む、請求項19に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。
- 二次液体輸送要素が繊維材料またはセラミック材料を含む、請求項18に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。
- 二次液体輸送要素がマイクロテクスチャ加工表面の少なくとも一部を覆っている、請求項18に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。

- マイクロテクスチャ加工表面が、約250ミクロン未満の平均高さを有する複数の三次元表面特徴を含む、請求項1に記載のエアロゾル送達装置。
